I’m a single mom so I needed to work and didn’t think I had a choice of schooling options. But when the world shut down and I was forced out of my job and the kids were all home I suddenly realized how little they actually knew. My middle son had been bullied for 2 years and no matter how many meetings I had with the teachers and principal it continued. He would come home every afternoon and take it out on us. It was a nightmare for everyone! He was in first grade and not even close to reading, yet taught himself how to read over the summer. My then 3rd grader has special needs, including intellectual challenges, and was not yet reading but while working with her over that summer I suspected dyslexia. There was never any mention from her teacher or special needs teacher or speech therapist at school about this at all. She went on a very long waitlist and they still tell me it’s b/c of her low IQ so I’m getting a second opinion. I love being able to work one on one with her daily. My 2 youngest were at a special needs preschool and neither of them were talking yet at nearly 4yrs old. Again, by mid summer they were talking so much and they rarely stop now. It’s still not perfect but I love hearing their sweet voices. Now at age 6 my daughter is doing math in her head and reading short words. My 6yr old son is a little behind academically but I know it will click one day. He is so hands on and always a step ahead of everyone when it comes to building things and figuring things out. My oldest was in middle school at the time and had so much anxiety every morning at drop off. He had to psych himself up before getting out of the van every morning. So he was happy to stay home and do school. But he went to school the longest and thinks he needs to do more than he does and that he’s slacking if he doesn’t. He is very intelligent and now gets to pursue his interests more, which makes us both happy!
I’m rejoicing with you as I read your story of homeschooling with your children. I hope you are able to continue schooling them since there has been so much progress. ❤️

We’ve actually developed a community homeschool program where different parents teach different subjects. It makes it easier and plays to our strengths :-)

Just seeing this young gentleman is encouraging for us homeschoolers! You parents are doing a wonderful job and your children are such amazing examples for the generations to come.
I have been watching Matt with his Dad a couple of times and was happy to finally meet his Mom. My children are young adults now and I would've loved to home school them but it wasn't legal here in those days. Its so refreshing to see a young man with godly values, intelligence, respect for his families way of life and giving business advice to the younger generation. Well done parents for been the example for your children and teaching them to love Jesus.
My daughter-in- law homeschools our 4 grandchildren, she uses Charlottee Mann and Classical Conversations. Our grandchildren are so intelligent. Our 11 year oldis an incredbile writer. We praise the Lord for how faithful He is to them. My son and daughter
Love it! I was a public school teacher, but I left when my oldest was about to go into first grade so that I could teach my own children. My daughter is a senior this year and will be doing online classes through a community technical college this year to get some of her college core classes out of the way in case she decides to go that route. My youngest is going into 9th grade. I am so thankful I was given the gift of being home with them every single day! ❤️
I have 2 sons. My oldest was not hs and he is 29 with 4 kids. My youngest is 17. He's been hs since 1st grade and just graduated this May and will start college in the Fall. Now I am teaching 3 of my grandkids. This year a 1st grade, Kinder and preschooler. Very encouraging video. Pour the love of the Lord into our children. I love all your videos. From Ohio.
I was homeschooled way back when homeschool/churchschool was not very popular ( I graduated in 1984) I have thanked my parents many times for keeping me out of government indoctrination centers (public schools) I really believe that had I been sent to public schools I would have never gotten saved. We also homeschooled our Son and Daughter who are both grown now. This video is so true. For your children's sake HOMESCHOOL.
One of the biggest regrets of my life has been not home schooling my two daughters. Despite our efforts to raise them properly the negative influences of “government “ schools has had a hugely negative and possibly long term negative impact on them. I wish I had seen this a few years ago.
I wish I would of been home schooled. I didn't learn much from public school. I didn't start learning until I was out of school. It was a great video and God bless.
I am one of those new subscribers and can say that your family is a breath of fresh air. So nice to see such an intelligent and well-mannered young man and loved the encouragement you were both giving to homeschooling families.
♥ Yes! May Yahuah bless you and your family, keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you and give you His peace!!!! We wholeheartedly agree! I hope this is a compliment, I am praying for my 7 granddaughters to find a young man like your son for them to marry one day. We have 5 of our granddaughters being homeschooled! I wanted to homeschool my two sons 19 years ago and everyone was against it. BUT today Yahuah is having His way with our granddaughters. Praise to Yahuah!
Texas Mom, I 100 % agree next to my salvation, best decision I ever made! We've been homeschooling since the beginning. My oldest daughter is 17 and finishing up highschool and my other daughter is 15 and just starting highschool this Fall. I can't imagine what my relationship with my teens would be like if I'd of sent them to government school all these years...🤔😳 Freedom to study what they want and when they want, to persue interest, meet all ages of people, learn how to tackle everyday problems, spend time with their grandparents learning valuable life skills, spending time talking about life and dreams for the future, those are just a few of the blessings that have been showered upon us because we homeschool! Great video! Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement!
Your doing a great job. Home schooling and travelling I learned back in the 70s . I did go to school which was private until 10 - 12. I always learned more traveling and history that helped me in my later years. Love your channel and your testimonies of your faith. God bless will be try to catch up.Your children are a blessing back to you preparing them the right way. God bless you.
Great video! Homeschool is a blessing in so many ways. I also use those curriculums and love them. I understand a lot of people are afraid to homeschool because that was me as well even though that was the plan since my children were born. The best part of homeschool for me is the conversations we get into on different topics. That brings so much teaching opportunities for me.
Hi from Australia. The Father led my child and I (worked in the Education system for 20 years) out of the private school system in 2020. Home-schooling is the best decision ever. I would say to everyone about to embark on it you will go through a period of "unschooling" where you realise your home-schooling does not need to look or be like school. God is so good I am embracing teaching at home and looking after my household. May Yah be abundant to you all. P.S. Life skills is the best thing we can teach especially in these times!!!
@@emmavantilburg1514 I don't just go with one I collect different resources and text books as I write my own own program. I get some resources from Simply home-schooling (as Australian online business) as well as sourcing general text books from online and shops that cater to my child's level or grade. I have heard good things about the good and the beautiful as well if that helps.
I watched your channel for the first time last year about this time of year. It was where you were back to school shopping and reviewing about homeschooling with The Good and The Beautiful. I didn't end up homeschooling until until after the first of the year. Your video helped give me the courage to do it! They are doing so much better at home and we have so much fun! I get so excited and am so amazed at how they learn! ❤️ I'm very thankful for your channel!
I allow my my little ones to play outside or watch a show in the front room so the big ones have a quiet room to do their schoolwork. We also use headphones for the computer when they are working on math or TTRS programs online. This really helps concentration.
Thanks so much for sharing, TM and Matt. Great content! We're going on our 4th year homeschooling and it truly is a blessing to have the children home.
I’ve been homeschooling for several years now too. Ever since my oldest was in first grade, my second was in kindergarten, and my youngest was about 1 years old. My oldest is now in 8th grade, my second is in 7th grade, and my youngest is in 3rd grade. We’ve used Easy Peasy All In One Homeschool for all three kids for every school year. We started when we were in California, and easily continued after moving to Texas. We love homeschooling and it’s definitely been a huge blessing for us. Easy Peasy All In One Homeschool is free, online and faith based, but they do accept donations. It was started by a Christian couple who wanted to homeschool their children while they were missionaries, and they created curriculum for their kids and then made it accessible to anyone who wanted to homeschool. The curriculum goes from pre-k all the way through 12th grade.
We're in North Texas and use Easy Peasy! I was so proud to find my 4th grader listening to God's word first thing in the morning! Wonderfully put together! We bought the physical books so we can disengage from the tech sometimes too! Love the Literature selections!😊👍
Wow...I love this information. I put my daughter into online public schooling K-12 because of the pandemic. It's our 2nd year and it's pretty straight forward ..but she doesn't have the freedom like your children..she's online from 8:30 am with breaks till 3pm. I think I need to look deeper into the different options of home schooling Thanks for sharing this .
Teaching Textbooks is so awesome! Teaching math was what intimidated me most and T.T. was the perfect solution. Highly reccomend! This will be our 3rd year homeschooling after pulling our kids out of public school. I am so thankful God opened my eyes! Loved the encouragement in this video!
I saw your video on Odysse before I got the notification here so I commented over there lol but we live in California and I pulled my kids out of school after 2nd & 3rd grade and it has been so AMAZING!! The freedom we have as a family is priceless 💛 my oldest is gonna be in 9th grade when we start this year and it feels daunting at times but the best advice i ever received was REMEMBER YOUR WHY- that is my compass and it helps me when I feel the outside pressures from the "educated" family members that say we are doing a disservice to my boys. I know what the Lord has called us to do for our home and even in California my boys are being raised in the Truth of God's word and our Family Values 💛💛💛 love you all and my boys are enjoying seeing your young med in their lives- it's inspiring! 🥰
We are also in California. Our family says the same thing to us. We also have to remember our WHY. My boys are better off with us than with the uncertainty of who might be teaching our kids in public school.
Thank you! I needed to hear this. I have bought the curriculum The Good and the Beautiful for the first time this year. I'm excited to use this! You all are a blessing!
I had four kids and homeschooled. We now have three adult children that are grown and are married with children of their own. Unfortunately our only one of the four that went to college decided he is an atheist, hates us because we are “bigots “ for being republicans and the estranged himself from our entire family. He is now 37 and is quite mentally unstable. My advise- homeschool- it’s actually a lot of fun, but don’t depend on it to turn out perfect kids. Pray, pray, pray for them
I love that you included what you’re using for the older boys. There isn’t as much information out there for the older kids as there is for the younger ones.
This has been an excellent presentation. Thank you, thank you! I am going to share it with my daughter and my daughter-in-law who are both planning to homeschool their young children.
I am pulling my lil guy out of public school this year. Going to give homeschooling a shot. Totally terrified, but these days sending them off to school is even more terrifying.
I've homeschooled for years, so I just want to encourage you. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Don't think you have to know it all. You will learn along with him! Figure out his interests. Ask him what he would like to study. My youngest loves horses so with found some curriculum called "History of the Horse." I think it was by Beautiful Feet. Soooooo many fun ways to learn!!!! Remember, no one will love him as much as you, except God of course. Blessings on your journey ❤
Hi, I'm new to your channel. I'm a Mama of 8 blessings living in the UK. Our large family has been homeschooling for 12 years, about to go into our 13th. It's been an amazing journey and we still have about 16 years ahead of us as our littlest is not yet 2 years old. Our eldest is a 17 year old boy, like your Matt. We've used Sonlight Curriculum for all these years and more recently material from The Good and the Beautiful. I look forward to going through your videos and getting to know your family.
I am so thankful for this video. I've been so excited to homeschool! I've gotten so much backlash from church memebers, my parents, and neighbors. My heart boils over with love, and people continue to belittle me about it. I don't understand how you could talk with someone who is so full of love ans excitement, and still toss stones at them. Videos like this keep me going, that I am on the right path!!! Please don't stop encouraging people. 🙏
This is our 12th year homeschooling and the first year for our youngest. I regret nothing what so ever and am so very thankful for the amazing children that we have and are raising! Today is my first day following your family but I can already tell I will be coming regularly to see if you have added new content!

Great video about the benefits of Home Schooling your children. With the public schools getting so bad a lot of families seem to be turning to the idea of Home School. Can tell from your videos that you have a strong family bond and the children work well together, are hard workers and very respectful and helpful to others.
First off. I’m so happy you are gaining subscribers! I feel like you and your family have been such a blessing to me, and I’m so grateful you will be blessing all these new people! Second) you’ve actually had us thinking of moving to Texas! We don’t have too many like minded where we are at. Homeschool/homestead mama of 8 over here. We do what I like to call “classical unschooling” that’s a thing, right? ( when you want to be classical but are too busy chasing toddlers and chickens, or toddlers carrying chickens) 🤣

From Ohio.
Your name.. i knew an Amy Sellers. That is her maiden name... We attended a small Bible college in Ohio '92-93.
We are homeschooling in Iowa and learning about homesteading. Great video
So sweet of you! Welcome! We are so glad to have you here!
If Matt is open to it, it would be helpful for him to do a video on a week in the life of school.
Texas Mom, I 100 % agree next to my salvation, best decision I ever made! We've been homeschooling since the beginning. My oldest daughter is 17 and finishing up highschool and my other daughter is 15 and just starting highschool this Fall. I can't imagine what my relationship with my teens would be like if I'd of sent them to government school all these years...🤔😳
Freedom to study what they want and when they want, to persue interest, meet all ages of people, learn how to tackle everyday problems, spend time with their grandparents learning valuable life skills, spending time talking about life and dreams for the future, those are just a few of the blessings that have been showered upon us because we homeschool!
Great video! Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement!
TG&TB has been such a blessing! The math and L.A. taught my daughter concepts that she struggled with from a previous curriculum.
WE love Good and Beautiful!
Mama of 17 aNd 15 year old homeschooled daughters. My daughters love to learn. It’s a beautiful experience. Great video!!!
Hey friend! Absolutely, the opportunity to maintain relationships with our children and have all the conversations is priceless.
This is our 10th year homeschooling. Best decision we’ve ever made. We love Teaching Textbooks and highly recommend!
50k! Great job
What curriculum do you use I’m in aus as well 😁
@@emmavantilburg1514 I don't just go with one I collect different resources and text books as I write my own own program.
That was really, REALLY Super Nice. Thank You SOOOO Much!!!
Would also love a video on how you keep young kids entertained while homeschooling the older kiddos.
Homeschooling is top notch and less stress on the kids in my opinion
Excellent. Thank you ever so much.
We use Good and Beautiful, too. We love it!
Wow...I love this information.
I put my daughter into online public schooling K-12 because of the pandemic. It's our 2nd year and it's pretty straight forward ..but she doesn't have the freedom like your children..she's online from 8:30 am with breaks till 3pm.
I think I need to look deeper into the different options of home schooling
Thanks for sharing this .
Look into attending homeschool conferences or conventions in your area. Or close big city. I attend yearly.
Respect ✊
My goodness I needed to see this video tonight! And reading the comments has given me so much 💞
Thank you! I needed to hear this. I have bought the curriculum The Good and the Beautiful for the first time this year. I'm excited to use this! You all are a blessing!
Christian lights works so well for us but you’re making me tempted to try the hood and the beautiful. Also, congratulations on the 50k!!
Pray, pray, pray for them
May the good Lord continue to bless and protect your family. Amen
I'm homeschooling my kindergartener this year. His younger sisters want to do school with him too. Always glad to hear what others are doing!
I used to not care for homeschooling but I’ve changed my mind. Our world is not the same as it was when I grew up. I’m worried about my grandkids
homeschooling is the best thing to do these days. Congratulations on the new subscribers, which I am one! Bless you and your family.
Amen I enjoy everything
I love that you included what you’re using for the older boys. There isn’t as much information out there for the older kids as there is for the younger ones.
This has been an excellent presentation. Thank you, thank you! I am going to share it with my daughter and my daughter-in-law who are both planning to homeschool their young children.
I am pulling my lil guy out of public school this year. Going to give homeschooling a shot. Totally terrified, but these days sending them off to school is even more terrifying.
There’s so much content on TH-cam to support you in your homeschool journey! It will give you so many idea and lots of encouragement 😊
I wish you guys luck...........you deserve it.
Thank you. This was so encouraging!
I have just been thinking y’all need to do a mom and son chat again! And here it is!
This is our 12th year homeschooling and the first year for our youngest. I regret nothing what so ever and am so very thankful for the amazing children that we have and are raising! Today is my first day following your family but I can already tell I will be coming regularly to see if you have added new content!
So glad you found us! Welcome!
I’m in NY and my grandchildren have been home schooled since 2021, my granddaughters mom is doing a great job i can see the difference w the girls and she has become so good at homeschooling that she has ppl now asking her to help them get set up for homeschooling their kids.
Congratulations on the 50K subscribers! The good Lord sent us! (And you)
YESS for teaching textbooks!!!!
You and yours are such a beautiful blessing, thank you so much for your time.
Thank you for the encouragement! Starting my oldest in kindergarten homeschool and I needed the pep to get more excited so I can bring that to my children. 😊
Also, I bought some aprons from you and love them! 💓🙏
I'm here because of shout outs from Pinball, stayed because your family is so awesome!
Pinball Prepper? Can you send me the link?
Pinball Preparedness in the search bar, TH-cam and Rumble. He says your channel is his guilty pleasure, loves your family interaction
Excellent video...spot-on! 😊❤✝️👍
Blessings
Great information 🤠 thx for this video
Your sons are gorgeous and healthy.. God bless you and your family you’re living ..the dream ..many are unable to achieve in this society..
We use The Good and the Beautiful as well. It's wonderful!😍
I just love your family so much. Thank you for the encouragement!
So kind of you💕
Love your channel…. Keep up God’s work… precious couple.❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻…
Bless you guys! 🙏
Thank you for the confidence, thank you for the information and thank you for the motivation 💕🙏

Love your whole family so much!! I wish I could go back and do everything completely different in raising my daughter and how we lived our life. Your family is such an inspiration and you are living the life I dream of. God bless you all and congratulations for the amazing growth on your channel, you deserve it!!
I love it!!! They way you do it, and not stressed out about it. Awesome!!
Yes!
We've homeschooled 18 years so far. We have one more child to go yet and, sadly, I have yet to achieve the status of 'not stressing' about it 😓
Congratulations on all the subscribers. Your family deserves all the subscribers and so much more. Your family is such a blessing to mine. Much love and God Bless!
Excellent Video ❤
Thank you so much
Our 11th year homeschooling and not a day of regret ♡ Love it!
GOD IS GOOD! GIVE HIM ALL THE GLORY ❤️
