Hi Eric, your content is great, I couldn't ask for better tutorials on all of these sounds. You're not just close like most synth tutorials, you nail it every single time! If I could make a request, could you look at the bell / key sound in the chorus of Thinking About You by Calvin Harris, it's one of those more metallic sounds I've struggled with for years.
This is a great tutorial, I’ve been using Vital for a few months now and often I get lost because I’ve not understood certain fundamentals. This solidifies what I’ve learned so far and is a very useful video, thank you.
Dude, you should have way more subscribers. You're the best sound/preset designer I've seen yet on YT, and I've seen a lot of them. Fantastic stuff. I'll be buying your preset pack,. It's one of the best ways to learn sound design. Especially with a synth as visual as Vital. Keep them coming.
Your channel is so underrated, I discovered you YESTERDAY and I learned more about sound design in that time than I did in 5 years of just trying it out
You have the calm way of speech and the the knowledge to explain from zero to 100 in a short time. Very impressive! ❤ you should make your own voice in vital!!!😂
Your channel has by far the most useful sound design resources I've seen. Really looking forward to the next parts of this series! By the way, I recently got your "sounds you know" pack and seeing the inner workings of professional quality sounds has been eye opening to say the least :D
Oh how I wish I had this video when I started learning synthesis. I watched it hoping it would be a good intro to suggest to others - something to point people to when they ask "What is this sound called and where can I find a sample?" for something they could easily create if they understood even the basics - something to take the mystery out of synthesis. So far it's perfect. Now I'm watching the rest of the series for a second reason: to learn stuff I myself don't know. Subscribing was an easy choice here. Thank you
I appreciate the strong theoretical knowledge you have for sound design. As an absolute beginner in music I really feel like I won't miss anything I need to know to use vital + other synths. Thanks!!!
Great video. While I know everything taught here, I don’t think it’s ever been so clearly explained and so concisely. Subbed and sharing with others. Keep making videos!
Wow, this was SO helpful!! I've played around with DJing and production, and am totally new to sound design. Finally found something that I absolutely love, in which I can tap into the creative, mindful, sensual and physics nerd qualities in me. This tutorial was so well-explained -- thorough and concise. Loved the visuals and examples, and the recaps after each section. 100%, thank you so much.
new vital fan and eric bowman appreciator here yippee o/ love these clear explainations. also my main instrument is trumpet so the brass/jazz vids are cool too imho 🙈
Amazing video that goes right to the point, now I started to understand basic concepts like ADSR, amplitude and how can be affected using Vital software in this case, thanks for making this video and I'll be waiting for more content like this. Cheers from Mexico
Hi Eric, your kind of explaining is amazing. So i understand vital much more better. 👍🥳 First time i saw you real in a Video, pretty similar to your icon. 👍 Thanks for your great work.
thank you so much for your video, I'm glad I met you here on youtube. In later versions Vital has perhaps removed the slider for the phase? Because I don't have it, I don't see it under the oscillator graph (V 1.0.7)
both of these programs are proprietary, you're misusing the term "free software". oh well, it's a good vid, learnt something, thanks. (i dl'd vital anyway.)
Sometimes we are lucky in life, and finding your channel certainly has been good fortune. For all you do, and all you share, thank you. 😁🙏👍
Thank you Eric, I’ve always wanted to understand the concept.
All young and old producers and engineers should watch this.
You explain it so cool, you could teach it to the kids
I am not religions, but you are GOD for making such an awesome tutorial.
Thank you! 🙏
Most comprehensive and straightforward tutorial of the basics of sound I’ve ever seen!
