Always loved The Flip Wilson Show. Flip was always wonderful, and he always had the greatest guests. Love love love George and Flip with the News. The last two phrases spoken at the end of this clip are so true, and certainly well worth remembering: It takes 1500 nuts to hold a car together, but it only takes one to spread it all over the highway. If you want a helping hand, look down at the end of your arm. Words to live by. RIP, darling Flip and George, and thanx so very much for the magic, music, and memories. (edit for typo)
George cracks me up when he shouts offstage 'Knock It Off' to quiet the teletype machine. Flip Wilson and George Carlin RIP and your humor lasts forever!!
Ì was so young when this first aired but I remembered it and finnaly found the Flip Wilson show again. What a great to watch Flip and Carlin together doing their stuff like nobody has been able too since. These guys were the greatest and influenced so many comedians that would later try to imitate them.I smile thinking of them both in heaven looking down on all of us and doing their news comedy play by play routine on today's world !
I must have heard this a hundred times when I was around14, memorized most of it. Thanks so much for TH-cam putting it in my recommendations for today! (Yes I do pay for red)
I see that the radar has picked up a line of Thundershowers 5.5 miles north north east of philadelphia extending along a line to another point 7.7 miles south south west of seacaucus, new jersey...however the radar is picking up a line of russian icbm's.....so i wouldn't sweat the thundershowers.
"It takes 1500 nuts to hold a car together but only one to spread it all over the highway," THAT is one I gotta remember which is why I typed it out. How can you not love Flip.
Must've been the same year George Carlin recorded + released his AM/FM album. About 75-80% of George's bit here with Flip appears on AM/FM. We used to imbibe "enhancements" and listen to George's album so many hundreds of times that although it's been decades+decades since I heard that record I remember each bit line by line...it's burned into my subconscious! Best of all it's just a jaw dropping hilarious now tho I have been on hiatus from "enhancements" for 25+ years. Thinking of making a comeback tho....
Flip you are as Good as Carlin but just not as well noticed by the young generation under me. Laugh-in and other shows like JONATHAN WINTERS SHOW, This is where I first met PEANUT & WALTER , JEFF DUNHAM WAS A FRESH NEW STAR, Now look at his BIG CAREER. Love you all and LOVE watching the old shows. Please , jduborygun make some more for my FAMILY & FRIENDS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting.
It's sad that this actually funny guy ended up with apparent brain damage from decades of heavy drug use and ended up a hostile, spitting old dude, screaming about how bankers run the drug cartels.

I had a lot of George's material on cassette as a teenager. I finally got to see how he did some of those.

Tonights forecast ... Dark , turning to partially scattered light in the morning
Really great to see Carlin do his classic Wonderful WINO bit, where the time is 5 minutes pass the big hour of 5.
Thanks for uploading! I'm very fascinated by George Carlin's "transitional phase," and there are so few videos from this period. Thanks!

This is my favorite of Carlin's hairstyles.
He was actually pretty handsome back then never really noticed before
Back before all the bashing, but he did that well too. He could make anything work. I love him

Carlin from the past is funnier than the later political pundit, religion attacker.
