I love when he did Geraldine who was so funny and that voice and she would always talk about my man killa... Now-a-days, alot of comedians talk about people trying to put them in dresses and they refuse... What's crazy is I've never even heard of goerge before until a few weeks ago. I'm ashamed of myself. I've been binge watching all of his acts the last few days
@@cliftonjames785 I am old enough to remember George Carlin from the early days. He was hilarious in the beginning. In the beginning he just twisted everyday stuff and made it funny. He got more cynical and crude as he got older. I enjoyed his earlier material, but not his later material.
@@cliftonjames785 If you really analyze the very last material he did, it was really dark. This is because he went downhill very fast after his wife of many years died. There is no denying his wit and intelligence. Comedians from the '60's and '70's were the best. I suppose that is because that was my era too. I think everyone enjoys the music and humor from their "informative years", regardless of when it was!
The only stand-up comedian that i never get tired of watching over and over! George was the True Legend! R.I.P you will be in our heart... I just remember his Joke about where exactly in your heart! :D
@James Darmor "Bat shit rat shit dirty old twat sixty nine assholes tied in a knot hoooooooray lizard shit! Fuck!"~George Carlin, 1984, Carlin on Campus
I was in high school at this time, and always carefully scanned the listings to make sure I never missed George Carlin guest starring on any show. I remember being in school the day of the program, all excited about George being on that evening. I remember these Flip Wilson appearances well.
I had forgotten, but I loved Flip Wilson as a little kid in the 1970s. I grew up in an all white suburb in Orange County, Calif., but he was a really popular comedian in our home, right up there with Bob Hope (who in those days was still hosting the Oscars). I was too young to stay up for Johnny.
"They" actually could return to this type of thing......If the talent was allowed to do this kind of thing......but I fear that with everyone on edge & worried about "everything"......it may be awhile.....
These are wonderful! I cannot believe that these classic moments are available. Thanks so much for sharing these. Two masterful satirists doing what they do best!
Hard to believe 50? year’s on and I am watching this on an iPad and still laughing 😂😂. Totally forgot about The Hippy Dippy Weatherman 😅 Thanks George ☺️
Oh man, I haven't seen that stuff in forever. I forgot how funny Flip Wilson was. I'm gonna go find me some Geraldine stuff right away. RIP guys, you rocked!
Holy shit, Flip looks great in this show. We used to watch him all the time when I was a kid. Didn't know who Carlin was at that time, but definitely knew Flip Wilson. :D
“And now, here’s that year-end wrap up we promised you.” *[Janky fanfare plays]* “…Well, that’s the kind of year it was, gang.” This will always be relevant. 😂
Great Post!!! I have never seen this. I started listening to Carlin in the mid 70's when I was about 10 years old. My brother and I had to hide the albums from our parents because they thought he was raunchy....
You can add to this that Flip is reading Carlin's material (the newscasts are from his solo shows or earlier TV appearances), so you can expect Carlin to have a better feel for it.
I can remember 1971. The year before I started Kindergarten. I had a dog named Ferocious. He was a tiny little rat terrier and brave beyond his abilities.
Never seen a comedian more talented, more clever, more hard-working than George Carlin. He was pure gold.
It wasn't only that he was the best, it was he was so much better than whoever was number two
Two comedy legends having fun.
HA HA
Flip was an amazing talent. Much under-remembered nowadays.
Really agree with that.hes Geraldine she was a hoot.
had him on 8-track, and loved his TV show.
Brilliant guy.
He was a regular in my parents living room 👍

"He had no last word; he, however, made several gestures."
Flip Wilson and George Carlin.....two of the GREATS of all time! I used to love the "Flip Wilson Show "!
This has GOT to be the genesis of SNL's Weekend Update!
BINGO! It is the truth 👍
George Carlins gig
True without receiving any credit
Lorne has never had an original idea. He takes from comedians and writers. Always has!
@@ms.moliver yep. SNL is Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, AFTER Rowan and Martin's Laugh In
Love all the noise from the news room and Carlin yells, " KNOCK IT OFF!", then silence.
I would actually watch the news if George was an anchor

@@JWH-01 I love his nihilistic point of view. He sheds light on some of the darker aspects of society while somehow keeping it tame lol

I like all of Carlin's material but it isn't until post-Reagan that he really makes me laugh
Santa brought me a George Carlin record in 1973, That was a cool Santa.
I'm gonna guess it was Class Clown? Same story here if so.
1973, also. But it wasn't mine, it was my dads. I was 13.
The more that time goes on the more I am unable to do anything with my spare time other than watching George Carlin.
You're not alone. Thats my current lifestyle.
Doktor McNasty me to
Doktor McNasty to this day man. To this day
you poor fella...i pity you...
have you stopped?
The Flip Wilson show was one of my favorites.
Miss them both and their comedy...
"I told ya not to call me when I'm working." LOL
All right love that these old clips not having been seen for 50 years are showing up! You got to love it

Marsin Maafi Dimitrov
:)
Gods! Why can't we have talent and comedy like this today? Where are the Flip Wilsons and George Carlins?
dead
They don't sell what the owners want us to believe...so they're generally kept off national TV and marginalized.
@Seditia Rose
Bill Burr's the closest to Carlin in terms of "questioning" things.
WELL WE HAVE CONAN ! RICKY GARVIS !! GENIUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymoose Colin Jost and Michael Che, SNL. Equally as good.
Flip Wilson Was the best. true entertainment!
I could probably watch this video at least bleen more times.
Bleen! read your comment before i heard the joke. HAHA! I get it now.
Oh GOD! I mean how old are you, BLEEN or something????
It really works as a number because it would have the value of six and one half.
Divergent Droid your IQ is bleenty-bleen, man!
Still makes bleen times more sense than common core.
Insane how George’s voice virtually stayed exactly the same, love him so much ahha
Imagine that! Making people laugh without being dirty! True comedians.
And yet a large percentage of Carlin's comedy was dirty and lewd. He had to curb it for television programs like this.
@James Darmor "Bat shit rat shit dirty old twat sixty nine assholes tied in a knot hoooooooray lizard shit! Fuck!"~George Carlin, 1984, Carlin on Campus
He had no word ..
but made several gestures
😂😂😂
2 of my favorite comedy legends.

The joke on the NHL expansion was friggin prophetic - LOL!
Omg, I'm so glad I wasn't alone in thinking exactly that! 😉
Flip and George were way ahead of their time man! Miss them both very much. Classic comedy. Thanks for sharing jduborygun.
my favorite 💕💕a time when people able to joke and laugh at each other without having a Nervous Breakdown!
Comedy and TV just isn't as good as this. This is about the cleanest, most hilarious comedy acts that you could ever see. Miss Carlin & Wilson
Weatherman predicted skies tonight: DARK!!!
Continued dark until morning when we will experience lightly scattered light.
George was the shiz.
I love George's hair.
Loved this. I remember watching it on TV way back when.
Carlin and Wilson on the same stage? This is insane! I haven't laughed this hard in weeks.
Some of the best comedy that ever was.
OH MAN!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!!! Flip and George had comedic timing like the vaudeville days!!! Freaking AMAZING!!!!
Damn, that mud-storm nearly killed me :D
yeah, it was scattered all over the place, tapering into mud drizzle, you know?! xD
dad, go to bed.

Both guys are missed greatly. I also miss Geraldine. Those who are real fans, know what I'm talking about.
Flip....another American icon ( sadly....mostly forgotten )
Loved the way "she" strutted out onto the stage!! 😃❤️❤️✌️
These golden days will never return.
Fucking defeatist, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THEM!
"They" actually could return to this type of thing......If the talent was allowed to do this kind of thing......but I fear that with everyone on edge & worried about "everything"......it may be awhile.....
Simple solution: kill the easily offended.
I remember loving the Flip Wilson show when I was a small child, I was 8 years old when it was cancelled.
I was only bleen
Just stumbled upon this. Thanks for sharing!
I love this! I was born in 1971😃
Just like other things, opinions, everybody has one. Thanks for sharing. Some of us enjoy Flip's style.

At 62 I am So Glad to have Seen and Heard the Very best of what All types of Entertainment had to Offer . I LOVE ALL OF IT ! let's have Peace🇺🇸
Two guys from the US Air Force.
If only comedy was still as funny as Flip Wilson's show.
"KNOCK IT OFF, WILL YA?!" XD
Thank you for posting this. For a few moments there,I was back in Jr High.
Carlin was Always Political . he Always was a free Thinker . Sadly the Censorship Management of the days didnt share his Zeal .
Suppressed by political correctness.
He was never suppressed. No one had the power to.
Carlin knew how to play ball. In his later years they just didn't bother to explain rules to him as everybody played by his rules - not theirs.
The only people who tried to censor him were religious and right-wing fools.
This preceded the first Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live by about four years.
Note esp. the cut to Flip on the phone... Chevy Chase used that bit more than once.
Thank you.
Carlin used the hash-mark joke in the first ever SNL show
Two comic geniuses!
HE WAS GREAT ON THERE
"everyone involved was taken to a home." LOL
still more truthful than fox
Sadly, Frighteningly True!
@RumpKnullet or MSNBC
Good evening, hostility fans."
After the low pressure you going to need a got high. Love it

Haha, that athlete's foot joke was boss
They're some BADASS glasses Carlin got on

Spot on hilarious comedy, perfectly balanced.
classic funny GC&Flip Willson from the early 1970s.

Great stuff. Hard to find that today.
I agree !
