It's such a lovely thing to see how the staff's and Starr's faces light up when Gordon brings in the restaurant changes and to see how happy they were for the change. They were literally glowing. It makes me sad that Chappy didn't allow that happiness to last however.

Moogly they are filming a show not saving restaurants. It's a tough industry the show creates a boom sure but not forever. He has another restaurants as well. If you've ever had any experience in restaurants you understand there's more to it than having a happy house and a clean cooler.

Both her and her Chef were intelligent and humble and it was such a pleasure to watch.

Update! So I've looked up this place and it seems to have shut down permanently as of 2017. In fact the restaurant closed before the final episode even aired due to not being able to pay taxes so the place got shut down by state auhorities. They tried to open other locations including New Orleans and Gulfport Mississippi but both shut doors very quickly and he is blaming Kichen Nightmares for his troubles.

Ad a former back of house restaurant worker (prep cook and dishwasher), I am always appalled at the conditions in most of these episodes. I've been fortunate enough to work in clean kitchens where everything is labeled and stored properly.
As someone who has cleaned some disgusting walk in fridges/freezers for businesses, that is one of the most disgusting ones I've ever seen and I wasn't even there in person.

It also says a lot when they themselves feel embarrassed to serve the costumers those dishes. When the servers say "my clients didn't like this" and they feel proud of the changes, it really shows they care about the quality of their service and they work hard for their money. That kind of passion would really give me a boost to try my best in the kitchen to pay my employees. You don't find passionate quality servers like that at all restaurants.

So I've looked up this place and it seems to have shut down permanently as of 2017. In fact the restaurant closed before the final episode even aired due to not being able to pay taxes so the place got shut down by state auhorities.
They tried to open other locations including New Orleans and Gulfport Mississippi but both shut doors very quickly and he is blaming Kichen Nightmares for his troubles.

This show makes me respect the waiters/waitresses so much. They are usually the ones who sees the problems

And the ones who pays for them too
Because it's written in the shooting script.
It also says a lot when they themselves feel embarrassed to serve the costumers those dishes. When the servers say "my clients didn't like this" and they feel proud of the changes, it really shows they care about the quality of their service and they work hard for their money. That kind of passion would really give me a boost to try my best in the kitchen to pay my employees. You don't find passionate quality servers like that at all restaurants.

The restaurant closed and was seized by the state of Tennessee in June 2013 due to unpaid taxes. Owner did a lot of complaining about Kitchen nightmares saying it ruined his business. LMAO
