one thing that literally everyone misses about the customizing of the nook mile furniture: it's not only the nook mile furniture! They literally have a soft serve lamp right beside it and it's also customizable, so with the update you are likely to be able to customize every piece of furniture that comes in different colors that you can't change on your own.
Yep, I noticed and am so excited! Finally won’t have to hope a friend has the color I want for a furniture set. 😍

Yeah tbh I've clicked on so many of these animal crossing "secrets and hidden details" type videos for the 2.0 update and all of them are just repeating everything from the direct over and over and over 😭 but my dumb ass is so desperate for more of the new AC update that I keep clicking lol. I can't wait for November 5!!!

A detail about gyroids that gets overlooked is they don’t just make noises; they actually harmonize in key and rhythm to music being played near them. It lends a very playful texture to existing tracks that can be customized depending on the gyroids used. Further, gyroids can be placed on walls, making it much easier to fit several in a small space.
The only thing I see missing is something for Celeste which I am totally bummed about because I was really hoping for an observatory across from The Roost. no such luck.

Reese and cyrus dont customize just the nook miles items, if you look at the players inventory at 5:21 you can see they have a grand piano and a soft serve lamp, those arent nook mile items yet they have reese and cyrus's logo on them, which means they can customize them

Also, the dock being on your island from day one basiclaly impied Kapp'n was gonna return....every game, there was a dock, and eventually Kapp'n appeared at said dock.

The Plaza items are almost certainly for Harv's new market plaza, as the island plaza doesn't allow item placement because events that are held there place down "Stalls" and things which your items would get in the way of.
I was thinking the same! I have a dream/theory that we're eventually able to upgrade the plaza & shops to an actual little city plaza!

Did anyone else see the empty HHP lot at 13 mins into the direct? It had custom pathways with diagonally cut corners! I’m so excited to have options beyond rounding them! I haven’t seen anyone else mention this so please let me know if it’s been covered, I’m over the friggin noon about it.
15:30 - Congratulations, Jammer! When new content is announced I spend days watching the Reaction and Analysis vids of multiple Content Creators. I like to see if you guys catch things that I missed, and also I love my streamers' special points of view on which additions are important to them. This time around I have watched no less than 10 reaction vids over the past 3 days, and you, sir, are the first and only one to catch that those are *Plaza* items! I caught it during the actual direct, but nobody else has noticed or pointed it out, nor questioned the functionality. Good job!
It does raise a question, however. Will these items be for our Plaza on our island, like when chairs magically appear for our villagers to eat ice cream at, or will they be for Harv's new Market Plaza, where fairground items might be more at home? I hope they're for our island, because then the villagers might interact with these special items (like Pocket Camp). I haven't seen any indications that our villagers will be present at Harv's Swap Meet.
Either way, kudos to you for being the first to mention the Plaza items. Yay! Cheers.
The house is a change of SHAPE not the siding! The “normal” shape comes with 32 siding options (including colors) so I would only have to assume that each shape has 32 siding options as well.
The Roost should’ve been the new venue for K.K. concerts

In new leaf we were able to work for brewster! Different villagers would come in and we would have to mix up their favorite cup of coffee, brewster would “pay” you with cute coffee shop related items, sad they didn’t bring that back

Really interested in the Plaza items too. I had thought at first they wouldn't be able to be placed on the plaza because what happens to them on KK days or or when we do stretches but maybe we get a new day like "carnival day" or something where for that day we can decorate our plaza or something like that.

Probably. The scene of isabelle walking to the coffe to go area is just like in New Leaf. They also made a cut after isabelle starts to talk to brewster. I assume she tells him how she likes her coffee.
you can also customise nook's cranny furniture with them as most of the time you will only get one variation on your island unless you're lucky with ballons (in the video it says you can customise a grand piano or soft serve lamp)
I wonder if with Cyrus you will be able to customize other items that are locked to your island, like all the christmas decorations...

I really liked working in the Roost in New Leaf. Making coffee for others and getting rewarded once my shift was done was a really fun part. They could’ve made it so you could get the Roost official merch or Coffee inspired merch that you could make, kind of like how they did for Celeste.
you think there is going to be milk and butter you can buy from nook's cranny? i saw a few dishes that looked like they had mozzarella on them or just cheese or butter in general. will we be able to make butter and cheese? that would be cool!

I was wondering... at 3:05 the "hills" or whatever they're called look a lot whiter than they do on our islands. Will we maybe be able to change the color of the hills we terraform? or is it only like this on mystery islands?

So I noticed in the nook shopping for redeeming nook miles there is the "pro construction license" that upgrade from 8 inclines and bridges to 10 but what if that also includes the top down way of putting furniture and paths down like in Happy Home Paradise. If you listen closely to what the narrator says she states "design techniques acquired while working with the paradise planning team can be used on your island (hopefully that includes the top down terraforming that's what I'm hoping for anyways). Experiment with partition walls, pillars, counters, lighting and sound scapes. you can also polish your own furniture to spruce up your home."

@@pikapie2883 they are right, I believe. It says "Pro Construction License" in the upper left when showing bridge expansion. When it discussed bringing techniques over from HHD, it doesn't mention the words again or address them, and only shows us doing anything inside the house.
I hope you're right, cause I thought of it too, but it seems like home island wouldnt get that functionality .

There are weeds growing in the Plaza on Harv’s Island. I really think we might be able to add decorations around the plaza to some degree.
I thought it was all cool, and now I’m excited for the DLC, Brewster, Kappn and Harriet and Katrina and a little more, so the most excited I am about is the Paid DLC

There is more content in the free update itself than I thought. Definitely going to spend time sprucing up my island in preparation for more inclines and permanent ladders etc.

ACNH was the only reason how i got through 2020 its the only game that makes chores fun and i definitely recommend it and this update will definitely bring me back into the game for a few months

you can also customize the furniture bought from Nooks' Cranny through Reese and Cyrus
The Bell one works because if you sell something for 2,000 and buy something for 500, you gain 1,500 bells but with the bell boost, something will give you 4,000 and you buy something for 1,000 and you gain 3,000 bells

I am so happy they revamped the gyroids. I loved how they sounded but I always hated how the majority of them looked. They just stood out way to much and I never felt they fit in, in my home. I'm actually excited to use them now as they are cute and customizable.

Hopefully we can design and edit our towns quicker the same way we can design little vacation islands like in happy home paradise. It would make building your island up a lot faster. I really hope that’s the case!!

I’m interested in the super clear pictures on the wall as soon as you walk into the Roost. It looks like there’s one of K.K. I wonder if it’ll be like the able sisters where after you go and have coffee for a while, you’ll find out a little more about Brewsters history. I’m also curious about the rarity rate on which islands you’ll get to visit. Particularly the meteor shower island. I gotta say, I’m totally stoked with the update and by no means am I asking for more, but I’m genuinely surprised to not see an update for the nooklings shop, no Gracie grace, and label not getting her own camper. I’m not disappointed or upset lol just surprised. I’m excited for all the new decorating options and the dlc too 💕 The only thing I’m concerned about is the amiibo cards. Idk if any retailers near me will actually have them, and if they do or if I have to get them online, what about all the lovely scalpers who like to buy these things out? How long will they be available and will they send a good amount of stock to stores to sell?

If you see, he's next to Reese and Cyrus, and mentions storage. My guess is he's there so you can easily grab crap from your house inventory to have it customized.
The other scenario is we could decorate Harv's Island now, which would be amazing, but I doubt.

I don’t understand the physics of climbing up a vine that’s growing out of the ground. I could understand if the vine was hanging off a cliff or off a tree and you climb it like a rope, but a vine growing up out of the ground would collapse if you tried to climb it. 🤔 perhaps I’m over thinking it.

i think the newspaper app is just to announce new dlcs, minor updates etc.
I still wish you could move residental services but i guess it is hardwired into the game and cant be moved. plus id like to be able to not kick up custom paths. It is frustrating when you cant remember what path design you had down after kicking it up. Plus I would have liked an increase in the custom designs to 100. That would be the perfect amount.

It IS like an outdoor market lol, or vendors..Ooo i love that term with that you used, & they didnt call it anything specific so we can all just call it what we want ... btw i dont like "Open' market' tho...sounds like a place thats shady lol or something🤔?. It technically could be called a farmers market too, idk☺ lol, after all vendors are selling more than just vegetables at farmer markets just like this, idk if people know that but there are all sorts of things at these places, vendors selling clothes, toys, electronics, paintings, kitchen wares, theyre popular, atleast ours are. I think its as popular as our one day maple syrup festival, streets are packed and its gridlocked for miles
