Just a tip to home fabricators just now coming across this DIY video (11/24) : If that is EMT tubing, welding on it without first removing the galvanizing it can be dangerous to the lungs (google it). That grayish haze deposit next to the welds suggests (to me) that is was not removed before welding.
Love this build series I have a 1979 pe175 just sitting in my backyard and don’t know weather to sell it or build it up like your doing. It’s about as rough as your bike was when you first bought it. Plastic tank makes life much easier tho and it’s all there. Great work keep it up!
Just picked up a nice 1977 TS100 that has less than a thousand miles for $200 and it doesn’t have a muffler. First video I found for building a muffler was this😂. Just cleaned out tank and carb and drove around and realized my neighbors are going to kill me if I don’t do something. Awesome work on this. I may do this but I probably will take the less time consuming route of fitting a 80 or 85cc stock muffler that somebody wants to get rid of.
You know I've been trying to restore my FMF power core silencer for my quad because I can't afford to buy a $200 silencer at the moment and I have to say that your idea is genius The can on my pipe is dented to s*** and bent so I'm going to use your idea That's great!!!
Great Vid and thanks for putting the songs used in the description. You find some really nice music. Keep up the good work and cant wait to see the finished bike.
Black and gold is awesome and I feel you made a very good decision to keep the gold off the engine. I think it would've really had a negative impact on the overall look. Unfortunately, on my 70 yamaha ht1 the header was completely rusted out so I had to get the damn exhaust. Luckily, they are relatively cheap on ebay.
Can you test the exhaust sound with and with out the muffler? I’m stoked on the build 🤘🏼 great job fixing or making the old stuff work rather than just buying new and replacing.
@@GoldGuyRides Haha, if you have a local harbor freight they are cheap and they work great. i did my whole kx100 frame with them, with the exception of a few tight areas.
On another subject, i seem to have a small amount of rust in my tank, i think i'm gona go with vinegar cleaning but i dint know how to prevent it from rust because i dont feel like it would need POR15 ¿any advice?

Nice work dude! Cute dog btw lol
Very good work but a suggestion in the beginning to prevent twist off is try heat from a propane torch or map gas torch
Finally hit 28k!

Amazing work brother. What was the diameter of the larger pipe?

Can i make it with alluminium instead of steel? Or it Will be too weak
Can you test the exhaust sound with and with out the muffler? I’m stoked on the build 🤘🏼 great job fixing or making the old stuff work rather than just buying new and replacing.
Oh yeah I definitely will do that whenever I get the bike all put back together! Stay tuned man
cute dog
You should get a polycarbide abrasive wheel. Takes everything off very well.
If it works better than a wire wheel than hell yeah I'll take 20 😂😂

Thanks Luke!
I think it would be cool to see you work on a 80s Honda cr. I love those bikes.
Yess that would be awesome! Whenever this one is done, I'm gonna start watching Craigslist for one!
GoldGuy Awesome!
GOO BACK TO YOUR SUBARU ITS BEEN HELPING ME SO MUCH!!!
Hi bro
I have 2 stroke suzuki Max 100 bike exhaust muffler is so very please give any idea
Smart...
Should have kept the pipe chrome👍🏻
What's the point of using the 2t packing?
To soak up the sound and make my exhaust quiter
Because he can’t have noise complaints from jealous people.
I wonder what those Amish in Lancaster would do if you rode by there😂
Those Exhaust Covers look awesome man!! Are you gonna be making your own Side Covers for the TS185?
Well I already have one of the side overs and it's in good shape so I'll probably just buy one!
A little late but maybe try some rust converter instead of just scraping everything down
Song result
At the start he said ts 125 instead of 185😂😂😂
Please subtitles in spanish

Word of freindly advice you should never wear gloves when using a bench grinder.
