Free Comic Day Haul! 100+ Comic book BARGAINS and RARE FINDS!

Many comic book stores will have special events and sales on Free Comic Book day. I went out to visit a local comic books store to see what I can find and was really pleased to find a lot of excellent books in their dollar bins. The store is Treehouse Collectibles (treehousecollectibles.ca) and is located in the east part of Toronto. They have an exceptional vintage toy selection and also have a good number of comic book back issues. This is the one day of the year where they set up tables outside and blow out their comic book overstock at a dollar each.

That Marvel Age X-Men show preview was actually for a pilot that was basically an anime. Toei, who did big shows like Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon, were the ones who animated it. Marvel had done some stuff with them before like the Japanese live action Spider-Man show. The pilot was called Pryde of the X-Men, and in my unpopular opinion, it was better than what we got later. But of course, that anime never made it past the pilot, and it was the later show that was a hit and continues to be with the X-Men '97 continuation.

The revival of X-Men '97 surprised me, and surprised me even more on how much I enjoyed it. I thought the Marvel Age issue was related to the original series, but when I saw the date, it didn't make sense. Thanks for the info!

A nice lot of back issues there, at a $ each you got a great bargain on some of them I think. I got a few half price back issues on FCBD myself but I never made out as well as you I don't think. Cool stuff
