Daniele Debattista Hi guys. I literally hate bias.... Every guitarist ,,,almost,,,....wtf. At first I seen keith merrow doing it. Ok it sounds good. Then I tried ok not bad. Then i tried recabinet, u530 etc. They are better than bias. After that still many musicians promote bias. And I feel like bullshit. No no not again. Not this one.

John Yang Congrats on your opinion, bud. Now go play what you prefer in stead of whining about all the demos.
Bias FX is solid for a VST plugin...You have a lot of options to achieve the desired tone you want, but A LOT of the magic comes out in EQ'ing and mixing (That's the case with any amp/amp sim). I own Bias FX +patches, and it's a great deal for only being $200 (for the upgraded version). I'm buying a Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister 40 Deluxe this winter to replace Bias FX, but it's also a $1,200 amp head....So for those who are on a budget, Bias FX is great....But it does sacrifice some of those organic sounds that you would get with mic'ing/DI'ing a solid tube amp.

i am just loving your guys' tones! Out of all the hard bands i listen to, your guys' dirty tones are so unique and identifiable now. Especially in the song Consume, when you are using that modified G# tuning on top of that tone. I love how crisp and full they sound! 2:05 in this video is a good example of that "honk" im starting to recognize in your style more and more.
Ive gotten to the point now that I actually prefer the sound of 7s over 6s. Even if im not using my low 7th very much, i still prefer the tone coming from the 7 over playing it through a normal 6. You also got me hooked on that G# C# G# C# F# A# D# tuning you frequently use. Only other band I knew that used that tuning was Staind back in the 90s, and they are a HUGE influence on me :D Cant believe that it feels like just yesterday I was jamming out to you playing KSE covers on here

I hope you're willing to answer this. I downloaded your tone in Bias FX. I'm using the standard Bias FX Desktop. It tells me i need to upgrade in order to use your tone. Do I need to be on professional or get the metal expansion pack? What is it I'm missing? Great work btw.

what are you running through ? just plugged you guitar into the interface and then into the computer
this sounds awesome! how come i can never seem to get tones this good out of it! even with presets :|

gibson lpj with 490r and 498t. no bullshit! :p
parametric eq's, regular equalizers, multiple tracks, delay, reverb, record with a shure mic (57 i think?) . on the cab. try to point it at different positions of the speaker. also, if you can get a 12 band eq (or more) try to make a slight smile with each slider on each hz. band. then one by one cut out individual bands then play. bring it back in and cut out the next one. if i remember, high gain effects, lose that fuzzy sound if you cut 500 hz. completely out. certain frequencies need to come completely out. hope this helps! : )

tehmisteh presonus speakers sound good. I compared 10 pairs of speakers. Adam and presonus sound best. Presonus is cheap but so good.
