@@franklinriley7074 IMO it's extremely rare for a guitarist to have the head for bass. They require very differing approaches, unless all you're really doing is banging out notes. Laying down a groove is totally different from screaming out fast riffs.
He was the best guitarist Periphery ever had. He has all these random covers Jeff Loomis, Paul Gilbert, Ron Jarzombek from Blotted Science and Greg Howe. I hope one day he takes the path of being the great guitarist he is.
These two should seriously make an album happen! Or an EP at least... They work so well together and this tune is so right on so many levels! There is melody dripping off everything and a perfect balance of space and tasteful shred.

I seriously need someone to rec some songs with this type of vibe. The long and drawn chords, mixed with quick and almost whining, high pitched melodies, the lows that drop into acoustic and soft melody, mwah. Perfection.
in case this is not a joke. roll back the gain and treble knobs, if your amp does not have multiple channels this would be the best way. That and possible roll back the guitars volume knob as it could also take away some harsh tones but may lead to a very dull sound. Another alternative if you have an interface you can use the Archetype plugins as they have some seriously clean tones with plenty of effects you can add in. Again, if this is not a joke - I do hope it helps.
