Also often overlooked, reach out/speak with your industrial suppliers. These guys speak to/visit shops and facilities in many industries that sub out work. If you have a friendly relationship with them most of the time they can give you contact information to the decision makers and know who's busy and who's not. Networking and reaching out to the RIGHT people can make this so much more effective.
Would be great to see some more videos again. Shop update, cool tools, programming, etc. There are some great sales videos on you tube now, I used them to learn how to do the cold calling / basic sales stuff. Most small shops can't afford to have a dedicated- full time sales person or bring in consultants. Basic sales skills are a must have.
Came across you when searching 4th axis content;.... LOL, then thought 'that looks like the guy from Lakewood Machine on IG LOL LOL LOL LOL .... nice work
Hey Ian, if 100 jobs emails become 5 actual working jobs how many actually become a reoccurring source of work compared to one-off jobs? Also what is your thought on sharing one of those older emails, how do you explain you capabilities without dragging and still lead it into a strong call to action that can actually convert into a part to quote on? Thanks for making these, enjoyed as always.
Sure! I’ve had four novels published, all horror, from three publishers - if you pop Ian DG Sandusky into Amazon they should all pop up if you want to take a peek!
Nice to see you back again, I have a small shop in Washington and I like to watch your videos, Great job
Thanks for taking the time and sharing always very receptive on people that are in the trade and be able to adapt, Thank you again !

Hello. What do you mean when you say "ask customers for their requirements"? On a project or single job.
