Well said, Ann. The first question the housing agent asks when you call and say that you're looking for a house is, "which country are you from?" And if you mention any African country, he'll say "it's not allowed" and cut the phone. I don't understand how the government allows job recruiters to publicly say NO AFRICANS to job adverts, i experienced it.
Some will never understand what Ann is saying until they find themselves in the situations she's talking about.

I will never ever recommend UAE to a black person. My kids were recently contemplating on getting me a holiday gift to Dubai, luckily they involved my best friend in the plan and she told them “your money will be wasted because your mum will not go”. Even connecting flights I forbid it. It’s a matter of principle for me. A country that does not have a little consideration for human rights should be avoided. Dear Africans you don’t have to learn in a hard way. Thank you for sharing

  • @simplydivine77

She’s telling the truth. I’m Jamaican-American (Black). I have a USA passport and saw my fellow Black African brothers and sisters treated like crap. The hierarchy there is based on nationality. It’s a beautiful, safe place but it’s weird because you feel mentally unwell, anxious, depressed. No amount of trips or spa treatments give you long lasting happiness. I also dealt with my own f--y more related to the toxic Arab work culture and mindset. The racism I experienced was from other whites that felt like I didn’t deserve the experience of living well out there. There were a few racist Arab experiences but they were few. Nice place to holiday but not live. Nice place to invest maybe in real estate and rent out…but not long term for holistic living. ❤

Your other video came up in my recommended feed, so I went ahead and watched it and I was quite impressed with how kind, even-keeled and fair with your comments about your own experiences in this country. You didn’t say anything that appeared to be degrading about it or teally negative. I’m watching this current video and I can really feel your distress and anger about your experience and I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Coming from the United States I really don’t know how it feels to move around to different countries, but I do know that if you came here we would welcome you with open arms. You are a business person with a good head on your shoulders and would be most welcome. In the church I attend we have many people from Nigeria and I have never ever met a person from Nigeria who was not kind, friendly, very resourceful and hard-working. Why anyone would want to go to a country where there are such human rights abuses is hard to understand, but I do understand some people need to get away to be able to live a better lives than they might otherwise in their home country. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours, and if you ever decide to come to the United States, we’ll welcome you and your family happily.

Therefore, since they are numerous and only them are willing to have certain jobs; they "imposed" themselves somehow. Futhermore, it's relevant to say that these communities have the ability to not care about being accepted, welcomed and loved wherever they may go. Maybe we should learn from them.
My last point would be that Eastern Europeans, and some northern African countries also are into prostitution etc but they don't specifically face the same behavior so we may wonder about why.

This was one of the reasons why I only created content related to my business, because that was the only thing keeping me going. A lot of people wanted me to show them the elite part of Dubai, but I won’t come on social media to deceive people into thinking All is well, because when they finally go there, and start seeing the real reality a lot of them would see me as a very dishonest person.

You mention in your reply that Africans face rejection because of "our criminal record." Such a sweeping generalisation is socially unacceptable, misguided and damaging, to say the least. The majority of Africans working in foreign countries are law-abiding people seeking a better life for themselves and their families. Racial projections are best avoided in this context or any other for that matter.

Most job recruiters, landlords (and even dating prospects) will say to your face, "NO AFRICANS". The ones who don't dare to say it, ignore you, even if you're substantially more qualified than someone else.

🗺There are two different experiences when traveling the world. Everyone else and "Black people in general." People tend to think the world is their oyster because they typically DON'T get treated unfairly wherever they go. However the same cannot be said for Blacks in the United Amorites, Europe, Asia or South America, etc etc. We DON'T get the "welcome mat."

I’m of Indian descent and I admire and thank you for being so transparent. I heard that in Saudi Arabia blacks were mistreated there too as well as Indians.
This is the same for Ukraine too they didn’t want to put the blacks and Indians on the train to Poland and wanted them to stay back and fight their war for them.
Saying that I wonder what the saudis and UAEs think of black Muslim converts? Do they get treated better ??
And why do they feel the need to hide this behavior? I thought their religion preached love and peace to all ?? So where does the gate come from?

And loader or cleaner will earn how much back what is their chances of growth in their professional career.300$ is 300k in naija how many earn this home majority???? If yes then no need to travel and come in Dubai. To remind you most living in Dubai from Asia country are less educated and villager who could not even earn 100$ back in their country. You thing you know more of their miserable life here and back home while they live here more than 40yrs and no leave no transfer . It’s preferable advice others it’s a place for low budget hustlers not currently working home or stranded but they should do research and get job offer before moving in rather than preventing those who could make it there . Live is smooth where are now maybe your partner smooth the path for you ,try living in expensive city in Germany like Dubai and Abu Dhabi .

It’s not just Nigerians, it’s typically Africans. Although being honest some Africans and specifically Nigerians have broke the law in the past so they made it harder for Africans to access basic stuff.
But most landlord know the society in UAE is built on racism and classism so they are scared that a typical African will not have a good enough job to pay the rent as most Africans don’t get very good paying Jobs so for them even when they see an African that is financially stable they would rather not rent to you and rent to a white European because their prospect of getting a high paying Job is better.

The reality of UAE, our salaries depend on our passport while I do get their reasoning they also need to understand that even if the dirham has a higher value than my home country but at the end of the day I spend them here in UAE and not in my home country. It’s not like I go overseas at the end of my shift and fly back the next day on my duty. Once upon a time the salary was just enough to cover the cost of living but this year things just gotten expensive more than ever. I’m not from Dubai, I’m in northern emirates but anything that happens to Dubai will create a domino effect on us. Example the rent here increased mostly 6,000AED per year, the reasoning? Well Dubai increase their rents. People will move here, do they even have a data to back it up? Mind you, increment is such an alien concept. Oh well, I almost forgot after such a long time I got a 98AED salary increase last 2023 compared to 6,000/ year increased in the rent. I can move to other flat which is pointless because the amount of money I can save from the rent I’ll spend it on transport and taxi is the only option in my area. Why do I stay? Just for the survival and hope something good will happen but I don’t expect that to be from here. The only solution is again to move to another country.
Edit: just last week I saw the news that they forecast further increase in rent in 2025 due to ballooning population in Dubai.

How are Black Americans treated that choose to live (not vacation) in Dubai? Is English spoken in Dubai and how common is English? Will employers not hire them because they are black? Will they have problems trying to find somewhere to live?
Question. If I have emergency funds, how do you get a large amount of money out of the United States? Is there a particular bank that I should use?
I really want to know how to move to another country without having to live in poverty. I'm a retired teacher living on my pension. I have a house that I can sell and some money in the bank. I am really thinking about getting out of the US but I wonder how I will be able to support myself. I suspect that if the American economy fails, my pension could be cut off and money in the bank could be lost.
Time is running out for me and I'm seriously seeking answers to these questions.

I really understand you and I know how difficult things might be.
If you are looking to relocated then some parts of Europe are more welcoming than others even to black peoples so you can explore some European countries.
Getting cash over 50K out of a US bank will be hard but a better way to move cash is get a trading or brokerage account, convert to bitcoin one or 2 days before you leave, then once you get to Europe go to Switzerland and sell it.
They will open an account for you as an American and deposit the money in a Switzerland bank.
There are a lot of other European countries that does this to, can buy bitcoin.
Another way is to open a European account for example in Portugal and transfer all your money to the Portuguese account you can do this remotely from the US or you visit Portugal and setup the account there and once you get back to the US you can then transfer your funds.
Wishing you the best of luck in your endeavors ❤

Being an American you or European you life won't be difficult and your experiences will be different. Yes there are some individuals who still will treat you differently even but Americans have less issues than a person who comes from south Asia or Nigeria. I assume that the Nigerians are treated the way they're treated because of a few bad apples who scam and do crime and now it has an impact on the honest, hardworking Nigerians who come to achieve for a better life. Unfortunately ignorance is everywhere and Dubai is a country that won't hide how they feel about you based on your country you come from or nationality. However I have noticed that only certain Africans are treated with low regard based on the country he or she comes from. Do believe America has the same issues in regards to the Nigerians and those from Lagos because of the scams and crimes. However you will have a chance to opportunity if you are allowed to enter despite the racism some may feel for you. Even Europe will give you a chance to fulfill your dreams and achieve success but do believe racism is everywhere and some countries are harder than others. Do your research before you travel any place and make sure you do have your financial ducks in a row.

HEY SIS, I AM SO SORRY YOU HAD TO EXPERIENCE SUCH RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION!😮

I just watched this one + your other video on the topic and am so sorry you had to experience such harshness, such blatant racism. and it sounds like any other title other than that of being an owner doesn't matter to the racists in powerful positions there. they seem to be very intentional about not having registered owners who have african papers
one thing: I didn't know if your American and European friends were black or white or some other ethnicity? because in many cases there's a difference between ethnicity & nationality. that's one thing that would have helped clarified some of the details. like when you said your husband had European papers but was Nigerian [which I assumed you meant Nigerian of African descent? because of the context you gave it.
    but at the same time I wasn't 💯% certain.🤔🤷🏾
for instance I'm American of African descent [descended largely from slaves kidnapped from the west coast of Africa [our family DNA tests says a lot is Nigerian] hundreds of years ago.
and it's unlikely anyone would think I'm anything other than what's considered to be a black American.
so if I wanted to register a business as an owner in Dubai or anywhere in the Emirates would I also be denied? that's the question I still had after watching this 2nd video.
and not that I ever wanted to have a business there & esp. after watching your video testimonials [although many cryptocurrency teachers I learn from are now based there for business tax purposes].
but even my white teachers say they don't want to live there year round and I always get the sense it's not *only* because of how hot it gets temperature-wise🌡️seasonally.🏜️🏝️
in other words I think there are things they see there they don't like either since they moved to Dubai. but of course they can't say so as long as they have businesses based there + of course, also live there for a good part of the year.🗓️

My husband is Nigerian born, but have lived in Europe long enough to become a European citizen.
Yes if you have African papers the discrimination is 5x.
For instance I had friends who were white Europeans and some who were black British.
My black British friends faced discrimination at bars and was only treated different when they heard her speaks and she mentioned she would contact the British embassy.
As a black person in Dubai, until they can ascertain your citizenship you will be treated like every other black person.
If you have an American or British passport and have a good job you might not struggle to find a house compared to if you have a Cameroonian, Nigerian or Bangladesh passport with a good job.
To be honest my husband did not experience a lot of my struggles when it came to register a business or rent a house once he brought out his European documents.
So with an American passport a lot of the administrative stuff will be usually easy for u, but you will always need to validate ur identity with ur passport/accent everyday as a black person in Dubai to be treated differently

It's deeper than the color of your skin. Even if you don't believe in the bible, use logic and think. Why are these people such a threat.?????
