The 2 reasons why for me it's a no go :
    1. Too much air pollution, from fossil fuels but also sand. I heard so many testimonies of people who got sick while arriving in Dubai. Apparently almost everyone has health problems, and even while living far from city center. There is too much sand, which makes it hard. And how are they gonna do if one day Asia develops and they don't have all this cheap handforce in order to clean sand ?
    2. Abuse of human rights. Some would argue it's in every country. But there it seems to go to an extreme level.

Not a big fun of Dubai.
    1. Weather is terrible esp in summer -you can barely have any outdoor activities
    2. It has no natural beauty and everything is man made. Just because it is the tallest or biggest doesn’t mean it’s the best
    3. Dubai is still a developing city on many levels esp in terms of software. It’s hard to specify but if you’ve lived in the west you may know what I mean
    4. The whole city is way too material - it is all about fancy cars and big brands which I find shallow and vain
    5. It is true you may not pay tax but you also pay more for other things -veggies, chocolate, cheese and other things are way more expensive because they have to be imported
6 Dubai is extremely boring- because no outdoor activities is possible you cannot take a walk, you cannot picnic by the beach, you cannot surf. Weekend leisure is going to a shopping mall😢

Discrimination is everywhere. Perhaps many have inferiority complexes which they compensate for by discriminating. Could not care less. What is unsettling about discrimination is that it shows mental disease...or an inferiority complex... Someone healthy says , "I'm OK , you're OK." Someone sick will discriminate.

It is true that we all have to choose where we would rather want to reside. I was actually listening to which tier levels you were referring to. Well, I would like to hear the good things about Dubai from you as well. Anyways, like you said you personal opinion. Life will not also be the same for any of us, it's a matter of us praying to God to lift us to where we belong. Folks also have it tough whether in Europe, UK or US. There are some of 'bad' guys here in UAE. Hmmm. Make I know talk. Our guys are in SEHA, in top hospitals(Optometrists, Microbiologist s,Nurses inclusive, of course they are not much but at least we have a few) lecturers and researchers in their Universities, Engineers in ADNOC. And the good thing now for them is they have the Golden visas. Most of the people who have it a bit tougher are probably some low paying job seekers just like the one you showed. In the end sha, people should be well informed before leaving for any country. If you are not a shrewd business person, not a professional (tier 1 and 2), and some others I can't remember for now then come to the UAE at your own volition.

Similar discrimination happened to me when I travelled through Africa.
When I was in Zimbabwe, to enter Victoria Falls I had to pay ridiculously high entry fees to enter the national park, meanwhile Zimbabwe nationals were allowed to enter free of charge. I guess each country takes care of its locals first before taking care of the foreigners 🤷‍♂️

@tabosiyanga5962 of course it's the same. The author of the video is complaining about discrimination in UAE where the locals have privileges but foreigners are discriminated against, but discrimination against foreigners also happens in other African countries. How is it not the same ?

@@IvanVujica-CertifiedTrainerYou're comparing apples to oranges. Did you experience housing or job discrimination too while in Zimbabwe or any other African country? Why are you lying? I disagree, overall, with this video. She does make mention or some good point however. As someone born and raised here in America, America and a lot of other western countries are so many downfalls, even a few that dubai "supposedly" have. There is discrimination in these western countries as well here, I argue more so. America and other western countries are on a downward trend, economically, morally, etc. Plus dubai, isn't the only emirate. Most people love abu dhabi for example. It is the most expensive, but there is more opportunities there for work than dubai. A lot of the bigger companies will even pay for accommodation and perhaps other things in their packages based on their offer as well. Western countries is very taxing as well and it is becoming more of an issue to raise your children here (especially if you want to instill good moral values). I can go on and on. America is way more expensive I would argue. Groceries, gas, etc. for example. No matter where you live, you have to live within your means. Of course it is going to seem to be expensive if you live outside that.
There are a lot of western people increasing leaving their western countries (US, UK, etc.) to work and reside in the UAE. I perfer Abu Dhabi over dubai personally. It is more chill and the environment is more suitable for me personally.
Like I said you don't have to live in dubai. There is abu dhabi, fujairah (significantly more affordable), sharjah (more affordable), ajman (more affordable), Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain (more affordable)
Side note: Al Ain isn't an emirate, it is a part of Abu dhabi.

I have a friend who lives there retired from the military, he loves it, he even put me on a realtor who showed me the houses I can buy... very bad ass with pools and he's hooking me up to transfer my business there. My advice, don't move to another country broke expecting what you expect from your own country. He even told me it's better then living in the US. And he's a close Army buddy of mine. I really think you're exaggerating. From what I've seen and what I've been told by many others that it's the place to be and my business will thrive there. Just sayin, agree to disagree. You don't like it, move, just don't go to the US, it's mich worse now.

Miss, I met people from Philipeans, India, Pakistan, Egypt that are just as dark as Nigerians! So why are you saying that they don't want Africans?! Do you think that the problem of discriminating against Africans is mostly due to ATTITUDE upon their arrivals there. People in Asia are of different colors and so are North and SubSahara Africa. Start analyzing what the real problem could be behind it. I am tired of hearing poor me. Think like a winner and expect the best in life.

No, you went to social issues which is a huge problem, not just in the UAE, but almost all of the Middle East. And what's worse is that racism are caused by other immigrants.
