Rudy may have wrote the book, but you my friend are a precious gem to the justice and beauty of Zeolites and minerals in general. To all us rockhounds we are beautiful finds!!!
This is my home turf, and I know this area well, in fact I grew up at Wawawai, you’re very close to an old opal mine, if interested I can get access to it. Great video as usual
I am hoping to get out to this spot for a day this summer. I used to camp out near the Lower Granite Dam when I lived in the area and there were some nice little beaches along the Snake, I’m curious now to see what there is to be found there.
Thank you and I do want to spend some more time check out the other side in the future. Side note I enjoy you're channel. Everything you come up with is so amazing to see. The last thing I need is another hobby but if I did I think it would be owning a 3D printer, you have accomplished so much with it.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I've also found fosalized shellfish on the other side. A 3d printer is the most practical tool for a hobbies. I couldn't reccomend it enough. If you do get into printing feel free to hit me up with questions I've learned most things the hard way.
Love the aluminum foil idea! So much to know about zeolites, they're like a field of their own haha. I appreciate how, as informed as you are, you are not shy in sharing what you don't know. I would love to see more zeolite videos and learning more from you.
Buy a roll of foil for the rockhounding tool box and you will be very happy you did. They really are a complex topic that I think has been relatively neglected in the world of rockhounding. More zeolite videos are coming!
Thanks so much for sharing. Yay, Sara ⭐️. Gosh, you should print your photos of the zeolites, label them, and frame them for your shop wall. They are just so friggin awesome to look at. What a beautiful display that would be. Your really lucky to have those specimens and the microscope for looking and identifying them. A microscope 🔬 is on my To Get list. A jewelers loupe is great but I want the nitty gritty. 😆 Again, thanks for the 🎥 Stay Crystal 💫
I've been thinking about doing that and making a section of the website for some of the photography just so others could have the high resolution photos. Having a real microscope has been nothing less than epic for me.
You may be collecting them from some of the what was once the western shore of America. Your presentation is always interesting and useful! Thanks and Merry Christmas to you, Sarah, and your dog.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding we do have some sea shells and corals from a rock quarry. The creeks do have some with small geodes; and micro flour gold. Farmer's field rock piles (glacier) have the most diverse. Working six days a week there's just no time for the good places about three hours around. But I have sites like yours that keep me interested 👍
I’m going to have to remember to bring some aluminum foil next time I collect barite. It’s so heavy and brittle! It scuffs if you give it a mean look 😂
Concerning a "knowledge" of Zeolites or anything for that matter. I thought of a quote I once heard, "the more you learn, the more you realize how little you actually know".
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Ahh, but humble inquiry into subjects unknown is how knowledge is broadened. And your channel is broadening our understanding of the beautiful stones under our feet that I have ignored most of my life. Can't wait for the next video and what you'll show us next. Keep up the good work.

I love that, to be where other amazing rockhounders have been, I feel that way about photography ❤

Thank you for leaving such a nice comment.
Interesting always learning 😊💙
Learning lots from your videos. Merry Christmas from Canada
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you as well.
So…what’s so cool about zeolites? I have a bunch but don’t know what to do with them because of how fragile they are.
I guess you could ask that about all rocks, what's so cool about them? Generally people, include myself we look at them and enjoy them.
Good stuff bud👌I'm from clarkston we go down river looken for rocks to👌rock on
It's a great area to go rockhound around.

I'm aware of the old mine. I would love to get a access to it. Let's chat over email about it.

Can't get enough of the Zeolites!! 😀
I got more coming!

Do it! Personally I haven't found many good rocks on the snake, its seems like the water level is really held at a near constant level.
You should check accross the river there. Lots more of them. Cool video you the man.
Thank you and I do want to spend some more time check out the other side in the future.

Fascinating seeing those specimens up close. Always something new to learn.
The world or rocks and minerals is an endless one.
I love the natural crystal structures that form and how unique each flavor is. Salt crystals blow my mind.
They seem to be endlessly fascinating to look at.
Awesome video, zeolite are such a fascinating group of minerals. I really enjoyed watching. Happy holidays to you and Sarah! 🎄
They really are amazing to look at and learn about.
Very cool specimens!
Thank you.
Amazing video my friend!!
Happy Holidays to have!! Thank you for sharing!!
Merry Xmas you two. Have a fun break.
Thank you! Merry Christmas.
So Sararh is your good luck charm. Thomsonite is a zeolite, that I have found. Which zeolite classification is it?

There is so much to be amazed by in minuscule. I would appreciate more videos on basalt and zeolite.
Oh I got more coming for sure!
Nice finds! Love the micro shots, great finds Sara.
Thank you.
How did I totally miss your tats before?? You got sleeves!? Now I’m curious more about what they look like than the video lol 😂
I got more than just the sleeves!
Thanks so much for sharing.

Another great road cut! Kind of reminds me of driving on Mount Etna. Now all I have are the boring drives of Northern Indiana 😒
There might be more there they you realize.

Nice video. I think your dog needs a safety vest as well! :D
She actually has but she hates every second of it. :)
u always post the wednesdays videos while im at work :(
But it gives you something to look forward to when you get home right? :D

Grab a roll of foil just for the rockhounding tool kit and you will be ever happy you did.
Hurray Sara!
Walk softly and find all the best specimens
Sara is better at this this than me.
Appreciate you, could I email you with a pic of a rock I can't identify?
You can but be aware that often a photo doesn't give enough information about rock and mineral identification.
Okay got ya, but I’ve got to try.
If you want awesome zeolites, come visit nova scotia sometime! i can show you many cool spots with amazing zeolites
Maybe some day we will make it out that far.
Why tinfoil wrappers?
Just for fragile stuff huh?? Thats kinda genius actually…
Thank you!
You speak geek so simply! I appreciate your enthusiasm and look forward to digging deeper into your channel. (See what I did there?)
Thank you! Also puns are very welcomed here.
Concerning a "knowledge" of Zeolites or anything for that matter. I thought of a quote I once heard, "the more you learn, the more you realize how little you actually know".
That does hold true with the world of rocks and minerals, I finally know enough to really understand how little I actually know.
