H22 swap transmission wont shift to any gears pt. 1

H22 "stroker" w/ freshly Exedy stg1 clutch installed but will not shift to any gears when engine is running. Found out that clucth lining spline gear got damaged by input shaft during installation.

I have used Exedy Stage 1 clutches before I liked them a lot felt very OEM. I however chose to go with Action Clutch in my recent build a stage 2 clutch and I really like it so far. Nice job on the repair I know it sucks to be set back and have to do extra work but at least it wasn't costly.

Yeah man! I kinda like how the clutch pedal and good to know that someone like you have used it before. I Just need to be careful next time l guess when to mate the two. Thanks for chimin' in man.

I’ve been running one since 2018 & started spraying a 60 shot on it the last few months. Been holding up but if you do no lift shifts it’ll start to slip a little but will go back to normal after a day

When I have problem putting the transmission to the block, I spin the input shaft, and try again, same thing with CV axles👍🏾

I do the same thing on any of my previous build but somehow l got a lemon on the stroker lol! Thank you for the input and right now another bugs showed up. You guys will see it soon.

which USDM transmission would you recommend for an NA build? which transmission are you running on your set up?

Any short gear Prelude tranny will be ideal for H22 like the usdm m2a4 and m2y4 and w/ lsd would be even better. Everyone is different when it comes to gearing. I myself used a m2b4(w/lsd) on my G23 but l felt that l need a longer gear on 3rd so l went using m2s4 and never use short gear tranny after. Are you thinking of using it on a g23? You cant go wrong w/ any of the tranny l mentioned, you'll like it. The long gear Accord tranny is another story, w/ c is good for boost. Try get a hold of 97-2001 Prelude tranny, m2y4 on g23 and start from there.

@sagitt net2 I'm actually building a f23/f22 NA motor with k20a2 pistons for a budget track build. I already have a f22a1 installed in my eg, and would switch to the other setup in the future. The plan is to use a h22 tranny so i can reuse all the shift linkage pcs. Thanks for your suggestions!
