  • Join me as my partner and I travel North-West to Oban and get the ferry over to the 'wild' Isle of Mull. We spent 3 and a half days on the Isle, taking in the breath-taking scenery, exploring the forests and walks, searching for wildlife and taking on the Isle's only Munro. Along the way we saw; Red Deer, Golden Eagles, Sea-Eagles, Buzzards, Osprey, Seals and Highland Coo! Truly lives up to it's reputation as the 'Wild Isle'!

I stayed at the Bellachroy Hotel in Dervaig for a few days in mid September. I visited the Lochbuie Standing Stones, Duart Castle, Iona and Tobermory, to name a few places. It was my first time in Scotland -- I started on the Ayrshire Coast, Dalhousie Castle Hotel, and then back to Glasgow. I would love to visit the Aberdeen and the Orkney Islands if I ever get back there.

I hope you enjoyed your stay! I went to those as well, but primarily went for the Munro and wildlife, did you visit the wildlife hides at Loch Torr and Fishnish?
Ah, so you got but a taste of Scotland? I highly recommend Glencoe, Fort William and Isle of Skye but also Inverness, Cairngorms and Pitlochry, such beautiful places! I hope you get to make it back over!

Enjoyed your vid. We are just back from our first trip to Mull, it was amazing. The Buzzards on the island seem much bigger than our local ones 😂Looking forward to our next trip.

Thank you! That was our first trip to Mull too, desperate to go back 😂 glad to hear you enjoyed it!
It might have been Golden Eagles you saw, Mull is a hotspot for them and they are fairly bigger than buzzards! Insanely jealous, I didn’t seem to see any despite constantly looking for them 😂

Also, if you’re doing the Isles, highly recommend Harris & Lewis if you’ve not been, incredible beaches, wildlife and landscapes!

They were definitely Buzzards 😂 Harris and Lewis are on our to see list. So many great places to visit and not enough free time.

We got the pizzas at the Craignure Inn, just down from the ferry terminal! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the Tobermory bakery as well if you’re looking for a sweet treat
