- Where do I start...
I have long wanted to travel to the Isle of Mull - it is after all, on most wildlife photographers bucket list.
After a year of planning, in late August 2023, I travelled to Mull, with my wife T, in a Campervan along with 2 very good friends for an 8 day trip.
This video features the wildlife side of the trip, and despite the unseasonably bad weather, we still managed to have some incredible encounters!
I will also be following this video up with a 'Trip Vlog' covering everything else in a few weeks - believe me, it was eventful, so keep your eyes peeled so its well worth a watch!
I hope you enjoy Mull's magnificent wildlife.
Adam

A cheeky mink showing up there, damn things.
I lived and worked on mull from March till September 2017 and it rained most days. Never experienced rain like it. One day it started raining about 5 pm and it was torrential until 6am. Wettest place I’ve ever been.
We where lucky enough to go to Mull in September 23 it was lovely whether 😊 sunny most days also as a bonus I managed to get the northern lights on Mull absolutely love this place 😀
@@markfrost9005 I went home to yorkshire when I left mull. It was a bit of a surprise because it didn’t rain for 6 weeks when I got home. I lived in Skye for 3 years and it didn’t rain a quarter as much there. 😂
I can relate, we certainly had a lot of rain there for our week in August. It’s still a stunning place though 👍🏻
Great video 👍. Visited there for the first time last year what an amazing place. defiantly want to go back.
It’s incredible.
I’m running a couple of tours there in September including 2 photographic trips on Mull Charters per group. Feel free to check out the details on my website.
Amazing content!!..congratulations!!.
Thank you
Great vlog Adam, good to see you stuck it out in some horrendous weather & still get the content. Lots of variety of species too. Good stuff. I was there literally the week after you & we had just one poor day of weather! 🤷
Keep on keeping on mate!
Best,
Nick
Many thanks Nick. You definitely got lucky 👌🏻
Great video Adam! You captured so much of what Mull has to offer 👍
Thanks Espen 👍🏻
Yet again a great film on Mull, makes me want to go there too! Some awesome shots of wildlife despite the dreadful weather. At least there was no heat haze! 😂
Thanks Jon. You are absolutely right, and no midges either 👍🏻
Nice video fella, keep up the good work
Thanks so much pal 👍🏻👍🏻
thanks ever so much mate
Phenomenal job capturing what you did in those conditions mate and a great snapshot of Mull in this video too. Nicely done on the soundtrack and edit too 👌🏼
Cheers mate. Means a lot. The music and edit are so important to me so glad you noticed 👌🏻👍🏻
Another great watch Adi. Certainly a reflection of spectacular scenery and wildlife combined with the fickle weather! x
Thanks so much dad. It’s a stunning place for sure xx
Thanks dad xx weather was certainly challenging!
Absolutely beautiful video, loved every second. ❤
Thank you so much!
Despite the weather that was a stunning video to watch buddy! You captured the place so well 👍🏻 I absolutely loved it 👍🏻
Thank so much pal 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much pal, means a lot
Lovely video. Love the eagles x
Thank you! 😊 x
Great video Adam! Were you mainly filming handheld with your 200-600? I struggle to get stable footage like yours!
Thank for your comment Matt. I always try and stabilise my videos in post production where necessary but most footage is hand held. I also try and use rocks, posts etc to anchor my lens when I am in the field. Hope this helps 👍🏻
What a gorgeous video and amazing landscape Adam ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you Marjo
Glad you enjoyed it Marjo, thank you
Nice video. Is that a mink at 14.04? I didn't realise Mull had mink. I've been there a few times wildlife watching and not seen a mink there. That doesn't bode well for ground nesting birds.
Yes, it is! I agree re: ground nesting birds.
The background sound is extremely annoying when wearing headphones..
It was pretty wet and windy but thanks for the feedback.
