Thank you so SO much for sharing your knowledge with us. It is a great shame to see so much people coming here and learn from you FOR FREE and don't hit the "like button". Pitty to see so many ungreatfull people. Thank you Anne!
Elegant soap. Just cut today my goats milk, oatmeal and honey soap and got out of the mold my yogurt facial bars. I also always use yogurt in my shaving soaps
I just enjoy watching your videos. I feel that watching your videos is as therapeutic as making soap. P.S. In almost all of your videos, I can only admire your glass mixing bowl. It just won’t break no matter how many times you bang that hand mixer really hard! Lol!
Simple, yet elegant! I've yet to try yogurt. I usually use the powdered goat milk from Brambleberry in the melted oils along with the colloidal oatmeal. 😁😉
I would’ve done a water discount and used that water to add to the yogurt to make it more watery and easier to mix in esp if it’s a thick yogurt like green yogurt.
Hello BB, Thank you for all the content. I have built a soap business here in India as a side hustle during covid lockdown, thanks to all your informative videos. Some of my customers live in areas with hard water. they complain that the soap does not lather much even when I use lots of lather mix. I have heard that adding citric acid to trace helps. How much and how do I add citric acid to cold process soap making?
We have a fantastic article 'All About Trace' that has photo examples of unsaponified and saponified soaps, available here: www.brambleberry.com/tips-and-tricks/soap/art0114-trace.html
The pH of the cold process soap should prevent the yogurt from spoiling in the soap. The sooner you use it, the better it will be but it should last the full year or so for cold process soap.
You can substitute shea butter, though you will want to run it through our lye calculator to make sure you have the correct amount of lye. www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye
I know that most hot process soap makers use it towards the end of their cook to help with the pour. While I haven't been soaping for very long [only about a year], I think all milk products have been used for a long time in soap.

Never made soap with yogurt but I am hooked to soap with oatmeal.

I love fragrance free soap. ❤
Hmmm I’ll try this with vegan coconut milk, almond or cashew yogurt. Thanks for another great informative video.

Simple yet luxurious soap! I really love soap with yogurt!🤍

I’m so excited to making it. Thank you BB.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the video. Will definitely try.

That is a great idea! Definitely something for us to keep in mind for future recipes.
Hi there, I am loving your tutorials. So informative. Could you please tell me how long you left the soap in the freezer? Cheers and thank you. 🌷
We recommend leaving the soap in the freezer for at least 3 hours to help avoid gel phase and overheating.

You can add citric acid to your soaps. We recommend starting at 1% and you will want to dissolve it in some water and add it at trace.
How long does it stay in the freezer?
Keep in the freezer for 3 hours, you can see the full instructions by following the link below the video.
@@gruzincklebell3404 thank you
If i want to double recipe to fit my mold, which is 1000g. I doubled the ingredients, im assuming thr lye and water is doubled too? Thanks
Yes, that's correct. You're welcome to double-check measurements with our lye calculator: www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye
Amazing recipe. When running through soap calculator. What would the lye concentration be?
The lye amount on the calculator will actually depend on the oils you are using. It's typically around 8% though.
Can this be done with melt and pour as well?
You can make a similar soap with melt and pour 💜
Can I use other oils beside oat and shea oil?
Yes but then u must run the recipe through soap calc because that then changes the recipe for the water and lye
Love love love this! When you add to soap calculators do I add 10% in replacement of the 33% for the water discount?
We suggest using a 10% water discount for this recipe
How we know the cp soap fully saponified?
We have a fantastic article 'All About Trace' that has photo examples of unsaponified and saponified soaps, available here: www.brambleberry.com/tips-and-tricks/soap/art0114-trace.html
@@bramble-berry Thanks for rpl. But my question is not about trace. Its about how we identified the soap fully saponify and ready to use ?
So how long does it stay on the shelf since yogurth has a rly short date?
The pH of the cold process soap should prevent the yogurt from spoiling in the soap. The sooner you use it, the better it will be but it should last the full year or so for cold process soap.
Would you need to adjust the whole recipe to add essential oils or FO?
No, you would not need to adjust the recipe to add a fragrance or essential oil.
can you make soap from ghee i'm curious about this soap
You definitely could make soap with ghee!
Hello, which oil is use to soap for more form? Pls rply
To make a harder bar of soap, try using a recipe with solid oils. Sodium lactate helps as well!
Can I just substitute Shea Butter instead of Shea Oil? What is the difference?
You can substitute shea butter, though you will want to run it through our lye calculator to make sure you have the correct amount of lye.

Is this a new trend, adding yogurt to soap and similar products?
Great question! Milk products in cold process soap have been popular for a long time. Yogurt is one of many ways to incorporate it.
I know that most hot process soap makers use it towards the end of their cook to help with the pour. While I haven't been soaping for very long [only about a year], I think all milk products have been used for a long time in soap.
I hope it's not a trend....I've been using goat milk yogurt as an ingredient since I've started making soap...
Acid+base=salt. Lactic acid+sodium hydroxide= sodium lactate and water. CHEMISTRY! C'mon, Soapqueen!
