Re-usable water bottles are all very good, but you need to have a cleaning regime for them so that guests aren't sucking on the same bottle for a week or two. Also - your filling system for them should be designed such that there is no contact between the bottle and the water fawcet.

I agree 100% with your 2 dishwashers. I was just wishing i had 2 dishwashers in my home today. Im also really liking this build series in general. Think it may be because im a civil engineer.
This was genuinely interesting & informative. Whilst lots of us may be/ have been/ have some sailing/ boating experience I feel confident in assuming that the large majority of us aren't SY owners or will ever have the means to be so( my own experience is from being a Royal Marine Commando and having served most my time in a small boat focussed unit [ that I shan't elaborate on for obvious reasons]). Seeing the IRL client/ builder process about fit-out intricacies, imho, gave a really good insight into a really important part of the process that most would likely never see. Let's be honest here. I think a fly on the wall of Kristina & Saida walking away and going 'OMG, how the hell are we gonna make all that work & what a pain in the ass?!' would be the icing on the cake BUT also will never happen as the client should never know a good 30%+ of the providers thoughts 😉😁 .That's NOT to say you two come across as difficult clients at all. Just a 'thinking aloud' thought of my own. This video also showed perfectly how the pair of you approach this entire journey from such a well balanced Crew/ Guest stance. Whilst I won't even attempt to imply I could understand such things fully I imagine there are so many more subconscious biases to battle and/or overcome when you're commissioning your own vessel that will both be your own home and must function in a financially viable manner for your guests. Buying a 2nd hand vessel or crewing it is one thing but when the stakes are so high & have such high impact potentials. Finding that balance must be so much harder
I hope Kristina and Saida are appreciating the cool ideas brought to this build and to be able to possibly incorporate them future builds considering this is going to be, I think the #1 production.
This video is wonderful! I love learning how you’re putting this boat together. There is so many details. It’s mind-boggling. I look forward to more videos like this! Love from Vermont
10:30, THANK YOU for recognizing the extreme waste of bottled water. I work in a grocery store, it sickens me how much water we sell bottled up in plastic that ends up in the landfill or in tiny particles in the ocean. I'd say by weight about 1/5 of the merchandise we sell is water. Produces a lot of pollution to move water from place to place, especially if you are moving it from some crazy distance place like Fiji.
Very exciting stuff. This is the highlight of my Thursday! I hope to one day be the recipient of one of those reusable water bottles on board your yacht!!! (FYI I will be keeping it as a souvenir even if I have to smuggle it out in my luggage haha) Great idea by the way.
If you add food warmers. I believe they can be pre-set for warming temperatures. Until dining begins. Holding the pre-cooked food. Food warmers have trays with sleeves for plates,. You can get food out of the way on plates, in the kitchen. The food warmers can be set out, by the back of the salon, when you have outdoor dining. So, basically you're making a lot more room, in the kitchen. A lot better for a chef. Who is preparing a lot of food.
Outside of the US most of the world is on 220-240V. I would therefore make the electrical outlets dual voltage, both 110V and 230V for flexibility, which would be helpful for international guests and in consideration of the after sales market that could well be in Asia or Europe.
Man you guy’s really picked an incredible boat builder in Alexi. That man is special. And, an amazing company in Bering. Every time you ask can we do.... The answer is yes no problem. No if’s and or buts. No excuse. Great idea he says. No problem. Your yacht/home/business is going to be awesome. I can’t wait for the day it hits the water!
This is great entertainment. Good luck over the next few weeks keeping your stress levels in check. You could see the stress on Rico's face when he walked in at the end.😱😩 Love the secret door idea, it will definitely hide an eye sore in the salon and make the area more practical/useable. Thanks, once again, for a very enjoyable video.
Fascinating look at the decisions that go into a semi-custom large yacht. I am surprised you want to keep the day head -- it is very visible and everyone in the salon will watch anyone enter the day head. I bet 99% of charterers will go below to their own cabin instead of using the day head. The space where the day head is could be used for many other things -- a huge galley pantry, or by moving the galley bulkhead you could expand the crew space. Good idea to remove the small dining table and chairs, but I wonder if a U-shaped dinette could fit in that general area? It would be great to offer guests an indoor dining space if weather outside is miserable and cold or too hot. Enjoyed the video!
Oh, this was the greatest (and most interesting) meeting. Thumbs up on the 'no plastic' and 'split coffee table' (OH, how I hate to move 6 people just because I need to get off my seat!). Good thinking on the flexible 'couple or not' crew cabin! Loving this series!! 😄
@@NautiGuys How are they applying it? It seems a really confusing rule around how it is defined in terms of where the load line length is measured. For example the Bering 80 is listed as under 24m, but its LOA and LWL are both greater than 24m.
If you were to look at a previous episode of Sailing RAN who are building a boat in Sweden they were able to take the cad drawings and converted to VR program so they were able to “walk through”the design and see if everything worked or if adjustments should be made. What a wonderful tool and less expensive than making “discoveries” later on.
@@NautiGuys yeah I was wondering that myself, how do you fit a 6 cabin layout in a 75 footprint. It doesn't really work unless they give you the dimensions of the 80 for free? Cause again, I can't see this happening, unless you are getting an 80 instead of the 75 for the 6 cabin layout to work. I can't even fit it in a 77 footprint? Maybe have the sky lounge be on top of the owners cabin/Bridge Deck? (Maybe a 4 deck 6 cabin layout)....cause that's the only way I see this working out.
I remember as a kid travelling between the US, Africa, ASia and Europe and carrying transformers that would allow our 110 appliances (small) to use 220 current. Great fun when you would forget. Sometimes we even got fireworks....lol
Extra electrical outlets on upper deck so Rico can set-up his sound systems.Include speaker ports to tap entire system aboard too.Same for lower lounge.Your ship is going to be so Wonderful.
Just some other observations. If you are putting the pullman at the feet of the other two beds, will the other beds have some sort of compartment on each side to hold a drink, phone etc.? Will the pullman have its own compartment fir phone and drink....? Will those compartments be cut into the wall? Will the pullman have its own reading light? Same with the two singles, will they have their own spotlights for reading. Will those singles have the option of sliding together? Will that affect storage access problem under the beds. Could those beds lift up (Ottoman Storage beds) from the head to avail of storage compartments underneath instead of drawers no matter the location of the beds in the room? Then the other matter is ease of access climbing up into the Pullman when the beds are joined. The location of the pullman affects the small design elements of the whole room as you can see above. Clearly, the more flexible (multi-use) the accommodation in certain areas, the better. You probably do not have to have such extreme adaptability in the other staterooms/cabins. And sticking to drawers for the Master Stateroom below so much more attractive, but lift up beds have an amazing amount of storage, better than drawers and can accommodate those awkward suitcases. You may choose to have a slightly higher than normal bed platform in a Master Stateroom. Definitely able to accommodate super large cases. A super tidy stateroom during a long haul trip which actually sounds like bliss to me. I guess I am a detail oriented person..... So excited for you both and your Charter Explorer Yacht.
I did not see you talk about top that Rico asked about to be fitted on top of the upper crane. So he could use it as a DJ location. But you did bring up the two orange chairs so points for that. You may wish to talk to them about that soon because they would also need to have some power wired to plug in the equipment.
You could have food tray plate warmers in-built, in the kitchen. Or, portable food tray plate warmers. This allows more plates on kitchen countertops, for the chef to put more food there. Otherwise, plates start to get in the way of more food being prepared in the kitchen -Mike
With a big boat like that, do they use food carts from the kitchen? Or, food warmers that have shelves with trays. To keep each plate warm. Then, to the back of the salon. This way, you don't have to walk and balance plates. Plus, fewer trips, back-and-forth For a long walk to the back
@S. M. I wish I was. I have been fortunate to be around a Cuisine expert..Not a Master, but an expert in Vietnamese Food Cuisine. What is remarkable is that it was the world food traveler, the late Anthony Bourdain's favorite cuisine, (in the entire world). He mentioned that on his show. Also can be seen on TH-cam. Things I've had, like stuffed oven roasted and seasond lobster..Their soups. One veggie wrapped sandwich. Wrapped just like a burrito. Except the wrap is made of clear rice paper. And their desserts. O M G ! They learned from French Cuisine cooking. I think his favorites were Vietnamese, Thai, and French. Spain also has some interesting fish dishes. At a restaurant, served as part of a five- course-meal
A couple of vids from the CrewChef or SuperYachtCaptain show that they use overhead lamp warmers on some yachts to keep the food warm. Or racks to warm the plates. But even on a large yacht most of the time you are walking dishes from the galley to where the guests are eating. Or using the dumb waiter to get a platter out then plating it near the guests.
@@NautiGuys if Victoria keeps adding on to it it may be 3 years. And 10 ft longer. They'll have to cut the hull and add 10 feet to it. I'll bet it will be amazing though. Maybe a reversible escalator. "The people want what the people want".
@@NautiGuys Hey, I have seen you (and others) feature boats with accessibility considerations. I’m wondering if we will see more companies adding lifts and elevators etc. to their layouts. Some of these boats have four or five separate staircases and I kind of scratch my head and wonder why they don’t just put a central elevator behind the pilot house, forward of the typical galley location that services each deck. 🤷🏻♂️
Can you make a video explaining how you go about financing/affording this project? No personal information, just an overview of what it takes to get the financing (like how much you need to bring yourself etc), what are your assumptions around charter revenues etc. Basically I’m curious to know more about the business model/case you build on.
Great young ladies you are working with there at Bering. Look forward to seeing the electric layout and sound layout of the Bering. Actually make sure that you get appliances that are rated 120v. 110v hardly exist. Also make sure the battery converters are putting out 120v and not 125v. Higher voltage will damage appliances over time. Looking forward to next build video. Rico, make sure they install several weatherproof 120 v receptacle circuits near the side of upper wall at base of the crane. Trust me you will never have enough receptacles/circuits for Electronics. Build on dudes. Chow

Finding that balance must be so much harder
it's been quite the journey! Actually Bering has been very welcoming to hear our requests, but I did get a few Nos on my NBBL... we will be sharing
I hope Kristina and Saida are appreciating the cool ideas brought to this build and to be able to possibly incorporate them future builds considering this is going to be, I think the #1 production.
This is going to be a very well thought out and well built Yacht ! You kids are doing this correctly. Very well done.
Thank you Alan
@@NautiGuys you are welcome. you know I love you guys.
Absolutely LOVING this series!! Thank you so much.
Cool. Awesome. Well done guys.
I really didn't think there was this much work in just the planning of the boat.
Same here
@@NautiGuys you guys are awesome.
Really loved that. So excited for you guys. Can't wait for the next episode.
This video is wonderful! I love learning how you’re putting this boat together. There is so many details. It’s mind-boggling. I look forward to more videos like this! Love from Vermont
Our pleasure!
Thank you for revealing the build processes and multiple layouts
The Devil is in the detail. !! It's nice to see Bering so accommodating with all the changes.
Such a Cool process !! Im excited for you guys !!!
(FYI I will be keeping it as a souvenir even if I have to smuggle it out in my luggage haha) Great idea by the way.
haha, no the plan is for them to be a gift if the guests would want to keep them with the Boat Logo on it
When you were talking about what goes on the upper deck, I was screaming, "ICE MAKER" in my head LOL
Hahahaha
Love it! Be well, Duke
Who is preparing a lot of food.
what a fantastic thing! To be involved in prototyping hull #1 to such a remarkable degree. Its amazing to watch
A truly amazing experience. Thank you so much for sharing.
Our pleasure!
We did get some Nos, we will share 🤪😂
Awesome episode guys! So happy for your progress; so much to consider. I'm so excited for each and every update on your build!
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much! Thanks for watching Bluey GILMORE
I've got to admit the build does seem awesome.
The finished product could be the best 75ft on the planet.
I can't wait to see it !
we can’t wait to see it either
This was fun. :) I'm enjoying the engineering/planning behind these kinds of boats.
so glad to hear that!
Thanks for watching Xero1of1
Thanks for sharing this amazing journey!😊
Glad you enjoying it!
For plates on the fly bridge you can use a pillar with spring loaded plate station. It saves space and it is an easy to grab a plate and go.
great idea
Rico, great to meet you at MIBS. Thanks for the info. Hope to visit the factory in the fall.
You bet!
Really enjoy watching your progress on this amazing build, thanks for sharing the insights
Thanks for watching!
Good Job! Can't wait to see the final layouts.
very soon….😉
Oh, this was the greatest (and most interesting) meeting. Thumbs up on the 'no plastic' and 'split coffee table' (OH, how I hate to move 6 people just because I need to get off my seat!). Good thinking on the flexible 'couple or not' crew cabin! Loving this series!! 😄
👌🏻🙏🏻🎉
Hi guys. Can you please do a small bit with Alexey explaining the 24 metre rule and how Bering understands it. Thanks!
what do you mean by "how Bering understands it?"
@@Rob_Moilanen hey Rob, you can see our layout here... I'm so confused 🙈🤷♀
I absolutely love being taken aboard on your journey to yachting heaven…… Everyone can dream a little can’t they? 😃
😉
Best video so far as it's so informative thanks so much for documenting this for us! Definitely isn't easy with all the choices
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember as a kid travelling between the US, Africa, ASia and Europe and carrying transformers that would allow our 110 appliances (small) to use 220 current. Great fun when you would forget. Sometimes we even got fireworks....lol
Great job with showing them and inspiring them what the skyline offerers!!
Extra electrical outlets on upper deck so Rico can set-up his sound systems.Include speaker ports to tap entire system aboard too.Same for lower lounge.Your ship is going to be so Wonderful.
we can’t wait to see the final product 🙏💙
You forgot the cover for the Crain and the music deck. Love the idea of personalised water bottles perhaps with the yachts logo.
She says "Never say No",Alex has got a great team. Kudos Alex n your team.
So much fun and knowledge at the same time. Love this adventure your are sharing with us.🤗
So glad!
So excited for you both and your Charter Explorer Yacht.
so exciting. Would like to join. Should be fun to build this dream
10:05 Rico: "Two orange chairs is all I want" 🟧🪑🟧🪑
lol
🤣
I did not see you talk about top that Rico asked about to be fitted on top of the upper crane. So he could use it as a DJ location. But you did bring up the two orange chairs so points for that. You may wish to talk to them about that soon because they would also need to have some power wired to plug in the equipment.
don't worry, it's taken care of... we just can't film everything 🙈😝
Wow what a design I can’t wait to seeit
Why am I so excited!!!!????
😝🙌🏻🥳
You could have food tray plate warmers in-built, in the kitchen. Or, portable food tray plate warmers.
This allows more plates on kitchen countertops, for the chef to put more food there. Otherwise, plates start to get in the way of more food being prepared in the kitchen
-Mike
With a big boat like that, do they use food carts from the kitchen? Or, food warmers that have shelves with trays. To keep each plate warm. Then, to the back of the salon. This way, you don't have to walk and balance plates. Plus, fewer trips, back-and-forth
For a long walk to the back
Guys, I can't wait to see how you trick this boat out. What is your estimated Build time from the yard?
16-20 months depending on the model
Great video as always
Appreciate that
I am so thrilled that Rico took on my suggestion of having some orange accent pieces! Go Rico!
😝🙈 😂
Nice keep making changes and adding things means more$$$$$$$
😂🙈😝
Hey, I think if you turned the side elevation drawing sheet into a poster that would probably sell pretty well in the merch store.
happy for you guys ! hope you love it!
thanks Matt
Great young ladies you are working with there at Bering. Look forward to seeing the electric layout and sound layout of the Bering. Actually make sure that you get appliances that are rated 120v. 110v hardly exist. Also make sure the battery converters are putting out 120v and not 125v. Higher voltage will damage appliances over time. Looking forward to next build video. Rico, make sure they install several weatherproof 120 v receptacle circuits near the side of upper wall at base of the crane. Trust me you will never have enough receptacles/circuits for
Electronics. Build on dudes. Chow
It is going to be so bad ass!!
You will love it.
Nice looking ladies working there at Bering! Christina = wow!
beauty and brains 👌🏻
😉💙🙏
Cant wait to see your New Ride.
You and us both!
@@NautiGuys I " KNOW " we are going to get a METERIC SUPER CARRIER of Vids on EVERY Bolt, Weld, Fleck of Paint when you get it. I remember your Faces when you toured the 75' you were like Kids in Wanka Land and you couldnt decide on a Direction to turn. I Stated THEN you WERE going to buy one even IF you had to Rob Several Banks to do so.
Alex. What a team!!!! Bravo!!!! Ciao franco
thank you so much Franco
Too cool!
So cool to see what’s involved…..
When great minds gather - changes are eminent. Nice video. Thank you all.
Yes! Thank you!
Good Luck! Blessings to all, it's getting late, I'll see you guys tomorrow! Borjorno!
Dinning room table idea. Do a duel swivel elongated table that splits apart. So you have a table for the men and a table for the woman or you swivel back together for one elongated table. One end has a 1’ folds up that allows for the swivel.
Thank you! This was really interesting and entertaining in the same time.
We need a bigger boat!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Aweome vid! 100% your doing your content correctly!!! This is so huge for you two...Thank you for putting together a great vid that lets us be apart!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
I hope on a future Eps. that you might talk about a Starlink system for ocean going craft. Being it can cover globally while the other cannot and at a fraction of the cost. And I am sure in today's world of always wanting to be connected this would be a huge win in the charter business also.
Loving the design so far.
