I like how you've filled the whole first floors with rubble and spilled it out into the street. Much more realistic than a lot of other city boards I've seen. Excellent instructional video. Thank you.

Most gaming tables with ruins look like someone cleaned up most of the rubble after the buildings were demolished - just some remnants of buildings sticking out of an otherwise clean terrain. This one looks like most of the debris is still around. And it's fantastic. Great work!!

Certainly finished up better than my attempt at a GW landscape which I simply gave away as I was fed up of it. I prefer a basic board setup that can be utilized in so many ways so yes I'd think on building another one when conditions improve and if I survive the laser treatment my eyes are going to have to be given hopefully this year? Cheers Luke.

Got the whole set for £160 from ebay about 5yr ago. Altho the set I had also had window ledges and came with six 2'x2' hardboard tiles for mounting it all on. The seller also did a fully painted and rubble strewn finished product for around £800. I like what you have done to it here mines still as independent buildings … hard to store a full table, keep up the great content.

Oh man... I have had one of those exact kits in storage after getting it on sale a couple of years ago. The plan *was* to build them as 6 modular tiles with detached buildings. This looks so much better - was a bit sceptical of the massive chunks of foam at first but that looks much more lifelike and even gives you something like hills in that environment. Having to store it as a single piece though... tough call to trade off having the cool setup vs being able to take it apart.

Great table, my only issue would be where to store it when complete? I like all the plaster rubble. I hate layouts that are clean. You have these buildings that are supposed to have been blown up but then there is no rubble. I like what you did. I will have to play with the plaster idea to see if I can create modular rubble, again because I have little space. Usually I can keep some 4' x 4' gaming tables but that is about it. And that is because I have a deep closet where they can fit.

It's interesting you planned the snow for this one - from the images and preview, I hadn't clocked that it was a winter board - just assumed the lighter greys/whites were dust/rubble and I think even when you show the finished thing, I didn't feel it was necessarily overly wintery - felt like a light dusting of snow if anything, and I wonder how much further you could go with the snow - drifts in parts and deeper in areas, while light on the rubble - interesting.
Also keen to know how this stands up with usage for 40k players - I only ask since it looks like there's not much in the way of areas where a miniature would be able to feasibly stand up without falling. Has it been playtested much? Keen to hear.
    As ever - amazing work!!

Looks cool, I agree that such boards look a bit bland but that's because there's a lot of the same stuff in the same colours. Only thing that could maybe break it up would be a custom building or 2 that stand out from the rest like a town hall or monument etc. That would make it less generic of course and maybe it would look weird for some games then (if it was a big statue of a Space Marine it obviously would look weird with WWII models around it).

    Lovely table!.
btw the point of the Etc rule/cover on lowest part of a building is to hide the miniatures from any shooty heavy army. (which i still think is possible on your board, due to angles.)
question. The material you use to make broken pieces of. Aren't you afraid it will get "ugly/destroyed" after a few times people have played on it?.
I normally refrain from using it, since i feel its a weak material. But should i start using it more often?
