Hello Gaynor, love the black ink drips on the floral painting!!It says it all above it..strong energy!Yours came out lol! It’s great to experiment..something can be born from chaos!😀Like you say,it’s only paper,we all have vulnerabilities,we can feed into them or get a grip, paint, walk away, come back, add or subtract!!Thank you for showing it can be done!!IBonkers is having fun and not boring! There are many presenters on TH-cam that are like cardboard cutouts!Lol!You are so very entertaining, funny and warm..you are a natural! It’s lovely to be part of your art community..lots of likeminded people getting together weekly and this is all down to you,so thank you so much!Your collage alliums keep getting better and better, wonderful idea with the black card, fab idea!!Don’t think you will need your jumpers on now!😎Have a great productive week!!❤
As artists we are simply driven to inviting others to see the beauty and joy we find. Can we ask more of our time here on the blue planet? I think not. We connect with the electricity you generate! Thank you!
You are never bonkers Gaynor, you are correct, but it is hard feeling that I will mess things up, I really admire the way you just plonk it all on and it comes out amazing because lets face it the more we paint the better we get right? Well done Gaynor. Xxxx
Love your courage & tenacity to push your process until YOU love the outcome- Just as it should be! You’re an inspiration, Gaynor! Your channel is my favorite!
Lovely Gaynor. I can't believe you are a scardy cat, your work is so bold and you are always trying something new. Thank you so much for your continuing inspiration ❤️
I do hope YOU know that you are deserving of all the positive feedback and sales. You work hard, you face challenges and you are always experimenting. As art collectors, and artists, we just feel it when another artist is doing good work and we are so happy and appreciative of them. So take it and know that are deserving ❤
Thank you for sharing your personal story of feeling scared. I so resonate with that and I'm sure many others of your viewers will too. I think I'm just getting to the stage of pushing myself past that with little mantras like, Its only paint, and, I'm experimenting! You'd never know that you felt scared, you're an inspiration ❤
I love your enthusiasm, your energy, and - I couldn't agree more with you - the need to mess your work about sometimes! I find I often do that, especially when working on portraits or detailed work. I want to grab a crayon and scribble on it - sometimes I do... but sometimes I find that letting it all out on a sketchbook also helps (and then I have an abstract painting too!). If you have time, you could search for John Seed with Nick Wilton talking about Disrupted Realism. Maybe not your thing (because you're all about re-energizing your practice?) but a good talk nonetheless.
Hello Gaynor, I'm just loving reading through these comments. It's unanimous...you're inspiring❤❤❤. Never ever forget that!!! Its cool in the land of 10,000 lakes in U.S. right now, too. A wonderful morning to hug a cup of brew and play in paints. I hope you have a blessed week! Your friend across the pond, Samahra ...p.s. I get overwhelmed with emotion on a daily basis...I'm SO GLAD that you feel the love from all of us❤
Samahra, please send us some cool weather up here in eastern Ontario, Canada. It's been unbelievably hot for the past 3 days. Thank goodness for the thunderstorm we're having now which is cooling things off a bit. I agree - it's unanimous. Gaynor is inspiring! As another person wrote in an old video I watched today - we're her "fangirls!"
I love your clothing style also & don't know how you keep from getting paint all over yourself!!!! Using a mat to see different areas helps I think. I need to repeat "Just keep going to myself".
Lady Gaynor, loving how you encourage us to grow in our painting by just jumping in fearlessly...giving life to backgarounds and adding texture to the foregrounds. Maybe there is an element of fear, not wanting to mess up a "precious" painting, but its so engaging to watch how you experiment with color, texture and ink drips to give it more depth and life. ❤ oh i really adore the faces, would like to see more.
Another engaging, inspiring and creative share. Your productivity is both overwhelming and motivating. No worries about replies - just want to let you know how much you mean to viewers like me. ♥♥♥
I think everyone has said the things I wanted to say. Pure inspiration. You do what most of us are too frightened to do with our artwork. Messing up is alien to me. But obviously playing safe is not an option. I watch several artists online but always look forward to your post on a Thursday the most and you are the most animated and interesting artist to watch. Unfortunately I didn't make it to your exhibition but I'm glad that it went well. Fran K.
You are so on the ball….I am a scaredy cat too and am battling with a big job - with exhibition next week😬I am now just going to go for it ‘ a la Gaynor’! It’s only paint after all! Thankyou for your positive vibes😊👩🎨👍
Love your philosophy Gaynor, pushing your art is what makes it so exciting and inspiring to other scaredy cats like me. I smiled when you said ' I wrecked it ' , I loved that wreck! Those ink marks were like ghosts of vessels, I like that they are still there somewhere underneath in the history of the painting. Thank you for being so authentically you ❤
Artist who are chasing “something precious” need validation that the quest is the breath of life. We each need to learn it comes from self acceptance. Big hugs!!
That paperwork has taken on a whole new personality! I like it very much even if I was in love with the original bare bones beginning. I'm always impressed when you trust yourself to push on and the work becomes a larger story to be told.
Dearest Gaynor, I’m reaching out to you from the hamlet of Perryville in RI, USA. You are an incredible inspiration. There is ALWAYS something new, special, interesting, inspiring that you give so generously from your heart. ❤️
Excitement!! I really perked up when I heard you mention texture and textile, huge light bulb moment! massive! I just couldn't stop doing my textile art but wanted to try painting again... so much. Why not use both mediums on the same canvas/substrate? I have so much textured, dyed fabrics that just begs to be put somewhere different ... I'm going to do it!! Thanks Gaynor for the nudge, and I love what you are doing with ink. I just know I will be doing your splatter technique on my new work. Have a wonderful day.
Hello Gaynor, nobody will ever accuse you of not going for it, with knobs on😂😂😂 The times I question why, and then you pull it off. You are very brave, but you are also thoroughly enjoying yourself, and that shows in the finished paintings. Thank you for sharing. Have a lovely week💐
Because of my schedule today I couldn’t watch your video in the morning. I just watched it now, I couldn’t go to sleep without watching it ! A highlight of my Thursday! And I must say as much as I love your art and your process I also love to see your outfits, very inspirational as well! Have a great week!
My technique is that I create a big mess and from the mess I keep going until I turn it around. You have to be bold and this is great therapy for us basically intoverted types. Im now finding the methods they are using for abstract art almost too contrived. So like you I mix my styles.
How delightful. Loved seeing your florals progress, and the landscapes. Love the paper bag color :) And working with your stick (I have and use several sticks when I paint at times) Such fun. Always so enjoyable and the highlight of my week. Thanks!
Living in the West Indies, I am literally 5 hours behind you in time and I look forward every Thursday to your channel. Don't take on the negatives, for every one 1 person that is not inspired there are 100 of us who are. Your style is unique, keep pushing and give Rocket a hug for me.
Oh l am in love with your long living room landscape, lordy, lordy, it is beautful!! Your chat in this video has highlighted exactly the battle that goes on in my head about the fear of moving forward. Freedom comes with expression. I’m going out to lay some paint down right now!
I love your watching you paint and look forward to your Art Weekly. I have also shared with many friends. Love the risk you take and how free you are with painting. You can take one piece of art and change it many times...love that. It does motivate me to take more risk, and to tell myself it is only paint.
loved the ink addition to the painting, and the colors are very lovely. Even after the rework reveal the next morning, the colors are very pleasant to see, very soothing...Keep at it! Bringing back the yellow green is very appropriate. Looks like a stained glass window with the ink lines!!!
Hi Gaynor. I’m still ‘having a go’ with a painting I’ve been working on for a few months… The good news is I resolved a collage that was not responding to my best efforts. I love it now! Just having a lot of fun with my projects. You always make me smile with your spontaneity and daring! Thanks ever so much!
Lool I so enjoy your videos Gaynor! Our weather has been so funny I actually forgot that it is meant to be summer, still use my winter coat from time to time. You are not bonkers, you are refreshing x x
Thursday can’t come soon enough!! Last night I referred to you as ‘my friend Gaynor…’ then I stopped and burst out laughing! But that speaks volumes to how real you come across in your videos, so very authentic and sincere. Wishing you a fabulous week!
I always look forward to your Thursday video release…. You have inspired me so much in my art journey…. and to be brave when doing my art… thank you…a viewer from Oklahoma 🌻
Now I know why you were asking about casting-clouts 😂 26 mins of joy..... I'm loving this return to florals. It's always so you, but each time with a new spin... so so so cool 🤟💜 p.s. LOVE the SHIRT!
Hi Gaynor. My friend and I have been watching your Art Weekly for over a year now - we love discussing your enthusiasm, ideas, bravery and work. Thank you. Quick question. Are you planning another exhibition in September? Or can we see any work somewhere? I am coming to the UK from Australia and would love to see some paintings.
Hello Nicky, Thank you both for watching, the next exhibition will be at the beginning of August....if anything comes up in September I will be sure to let you know. Have a wonderful week XX
Loving that sandy colour and texture you've been trying lately with the paper bags! This is honestly reminding me to play around more with my art, too. I've been in a slump lately, but I'm trying to pull myself out of it.
HA! I just loved the look away now advisory! You brighten my day so much. You have such a wonderful life force. You have successful art because of your explorations and willingness to take a risk. I know it is a lot of work to put these videos out and we all appreciate your hard work. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Have a great week.
I’m obsessed with your new planters! The color is beautiful! I also like your small Constantina sketch book. The idea for figures has sparked a light in me to try something like that. Right now I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery, so it will be a bit longer before I get back into my studio. (It’s been a tough go). Keep up these wonderful videos, I’m enjoying them so very much.
I really enjoy watching your videos! I love how bold, carefree and adventurous you are when painting! You try so many different things without caring about if it will work or not…which is quite opposite from me. It’s very inspiring! Love your work! Thank you for sharing your process! ❤❤❤
Your art process is genuine, true to you. You've greatly inspired me to return to my painting studio. I look forward to your weekly video. Vulnerable and in the moment, you're an excellent teacher. ~ Deb
Paper bag coloured paint.😊That would make a great name for a paint colour. It makes a nice neutral addition to all the other colours. Have a great week Gaynor! x
Somehow I didn't finish this one so I came back to it today, which was a good thing. I had an utter fail with a painting this morning so I needed a pep talk. Thanks for cheering us on in our art! Your videos are always inspiring!
You are the same as me in that you get ideas from various sources and make it your own. I think the big factor in art is being able to compose and knowing colour. And I always say to my friends its coming up with a gimmick. I would love to hear your art journey and if you are able to make a living. I just sold a painting called " Mary and the Farting Donkey". It won the prize I guess for its novelty factor. So now im doing religious art with humour. I live far out in the Aussi bush on a property so I dont get to mix up with other painters. So utube is my life line. I love the English videos as the Americans are a bit full on for me. So thank you for sharing all your methods.
You have sold a painting...and I love your title !! I'm not able to make a living from what I sell but have other work to pay the bills. Paying the bills enables me to play with the paint !!! XX
This is an amazing video. Your bright and cheerful studio gives me energy, and l want rush into my studio and get going. Your words about taking risks are so true. lt really doesnt matter what we do you just have to keep doing. Thank you for all your inspiration....Alioban 🥰
Ohhh I love that paper bag colored vase with the line work. I agree with you! I can get very tight… almost illustration and that’s fine but I’m looking for expressive work. Keep going! ❤
Another lovely week. I haven’t commented for a while because i have been taken up with the return of my black ink drawings. I started the year with a new sketch book to aim for a picture per day. It started off fine but little by little my old style returned, abstract line drawi 0:06 ng. Since mid April I have completed 30 new pictures. No colour. No rhyme or reason to them. They returned because I started watching your videos which are so encouraging. I’ll post some more on Instagram soon. Then I hope to return to my ‘slabs of colour’ very minimal they are. We shall see X
Dear Gaynor, I was happy to see this come up on youtube today to give me opportunity to send my well wishes. I hope you are doing great and we all look forward to your return and good health.
Mmmm. I’m in a battle with a landscape at the moment. I’ve stepped away for a day or so…..back tomorrow to see what I can do with it. I enjoy seeing your struggles and successes too…..keep em coming!!
I love your art Gaynor and your tops lol. Where do you buy them? You're always so well put together and I don't know how you keep your sleeves free of paint. Magic.
Thanks so much 😊 I have an inability to part with clothes !!! I shop High Street stores....nothing fancy or expensive because I don't want to fret about getting painty. Occasionally, someone will point out that I have paint on my sleeve !!! X
Hi Gaynor, love watching you creat your artworks 💗Can I ask, what type of paper do you use for your cards and do you cut and fold them from large pieces of paper, or do you buy the card stock ready made and then you paint on them?
Darling it not being lucky. It is your turn. Being married 50 years, he cooks and does his part, sometimes more than his share. And that is okay. I gave up years waiting to breathe freely. You are a happier partner. I am sure he is loving it! And I hope as he pushes the mower he says, “I am such a lucky person to share this adventure with Gaynor!”
Hello Linda, what a lovely expression "breathe freely", there is a sense of freedom in the way I approach all aspects of life now....I have to remind myself frequently but it does feel good XX

Luv watching your art process...your imagination is an ingredible place...thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a lovely comment XX
I’m obsessed with your new planters! The color is beautiful! I also like your small Constantina sketch book. The idea for figures has sparked a light in me to try something like that. Right now I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery, so it will be a bit longer before I get back into my studio. (It’s been a tough go).
Keep up these wonderful videos, I’m enjoying them so very much.
Hello Suzanne, sending love and very best wishes for a good recovery. Thank you for such kind support XXX
I really enjoy watching your videos! I love how bold, carefree and adventurous you are when painting! You try so many different things without caring about if it will work or not…which is quite opposite from me. It’s very inspiring! Love your work! Thank you for sharing your process! ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching and taking time to leave a wonderful comment XXX
You are such a wonderful teacher, so uninhibited. I see your work as expressionistic art.
Thank you! 😊 X
Your art process is genuine, true to you. You've greatly inspired me to return to my painting studio. I look forward to your weekly video. Vulnerable and in the moment, you're an excellent teacher. ~ Deb
So So kind, heartfelt thanks Deb XX
Paper bag coloured paint.😊That would make a great name for a paint colour. It makes a nice neutral addition to all the other colours. Have a great week Gaynor! x
Thank goodness I filmed it because I didn't write the recipe down !!! Have a great week too XX

Another great video, thank you for sharing your art week with us!
Thanks for watching! XX
Somehow I didn't finish this one so I came back to it today, which was a good thing. I had an utter fail with a painting this morning so I needed a pep talk. Thanks for cheering us on in our art! Your videos are always inspiring!
Thank you Susan XX
I love what you're doing Gaynor especially the panaroma landscape you're amaizing inspiring awsome thanks for sharing ❤😊
Thank you so much 😀 XX
💖 Thank you for your life experience. Its so meaningful to many. ❤
Thank you Stefanie XX
XX
I love your bravery! I feel exhilarated for you!!! It is so freeing!!
Thank you XX
I love your approach, brave, honest and relatable! 😊
Heartfelt thanks Bobbie XX
This is an amazing video. Your bright and cheerful studio gives me energy, and l want rush into my studio and get going. Your words about taking risks are so true. lt really doesnt matter what we do you just have to keep doing.
Thank you for all your inspiration....Alioban 🥰
Thank you so much Alioban, have some wonderful studio time this week XX
Looks awesome after just going for it!
Nice and loose!😊 Jo.
Thank you Jo 😊 XX
Ohhh I love that paper bag colored vase with the line work. I agree with you! I can get very tight… almost illustration and that’s fine but I’m looking for expressive work. Keep going! ❤
Hi Jackie....so glad you are with me on the current painting XX. The expression is within you....let it out XXX
was waiting for the green!!!!
LOVE GREEN XX
Another lovely week. I haven’t commented for a while because i have been taken up with the return of my black ink drawings. I started the year with a new sketch book to aim for a picture per day. It started off fine but little by little my old style returned, abstract line drawi 0:06 ng.
Since mid April I have completed 30 new pictures. No colour. No rhyme or reason to them. They returned because I started watching your videos which are so encouraging.
I’ll post some more on Instagram soon.
Then I hope to return to my ‘slabs of colour’ very minimal they are. We shall see

Hello Judy.....what wants to come out, will come out !! That is the joy of being creative. Enjoy the flow and where you are right now XX
Dear Gaynor, I was happy to see this come up on youtube today to give me opportunity to send my well wishes. I hope you are doing great and we all look forward to your return and good health.
Thank you Ann, I am doing well, finding more energy everyday XX
Mmmm. I’m in a battle with a landscape at the moment. I’ve stepped away for a day or so…..back tomorrow to see what I can do with it. I enjoy seeing your struggles and successes too…..keep em coming!!
Have FUN XX
You are amazing!!! I love your method.
Consider not asking for suggestions- you’ll get too many and won’t be able to please everyone.
Thank you for a lovely message....I do like the input and immediately identify when a great suggestion comes along !! Have a great week XX
I admire your braveness and ability to let loose and not to leave it alone.
Thank you Cat XX
I love watching your work evolve. ❤
Thank you so much! X
Another lovely video with some excellent advice. Thank you. :)
Thank you for watching X
Introducing to the Gaynor Paint line, Paper Bag. Coming soon….Pinkish Pink. You are a hoot!
This makes me smile...thank you XX
I love your art Gaynor and your tops lol. Where do you buy them? You're always so well put together and I don't know how you keep your sleeves free of paint. Magic.
Thanks so much 😊 I have an inability to part with clothes !!! I shop High Street stores....nothing fancy or expensive because I don't want to fret about getting painty. Occasionally, someone will point out that I have paint on my sleeve !!! X
I loved the little sandpiper drop in at the end. ❤ can we see that aqua painting next to you in the last shot?
And I loved your show of emotion. So authentically you! I adore you.
Big hug X
I love it!!

Hi Gaynor, love watching you creat your artworks 💗Can I ask, what type of paper do you use for your cards and do you cut and fold them from large pieces of paper, or do you buy the card stock ready made and then you paint on them?
Hello Michelle, I buy blank cards online and usually go for at least 250 gsm. X
oh, all too familiar - it's becoming precious, and then the anguish of not daring to mess up.
The trials and tribulations !!! X
btw love your shirt
Darling it not being lucky. It is your turn. Being married 50 years, he cooks and does his part, sometimes more than his share. And that is okay. I gave up years waiting to breathe freely. You are a happier partner. I am sure he is loving it! And I hope as he pushes the mower he says, “I am such a lucky person to share this adventure with Gaynor!”
Hello Linda, what a lovely expression "breathe freely", there is a sense of freedom in the way I approach all aspects of life now....I have to remind myself frequently but it does feel good XX
