Hi, Great Question! From my gardening experience it tends to be more a light issue. Not enough light makes the internode longer as the plant is searching for more light and not producing out as many leaves. I find if the temperature is inadequate the plant grows slowly or even stop growing and do dormant. Happy Gardening ❤️
