Stock speakers are made w/ neodynum magnets which are more expensive and far more efficient than most standard speaker-grade magnets. Aftermarket speaker companies totally did start using them but approval ratings went down because of people like you going "LOOK AT THE SIZE DIFFERENCE AWW DAYUM THE LITTLE ONE SUCKS SO BAD." So we can actually thank you and everyone else saying this for the reason why speakers are heavier and less efficient than they need to be.
Actually i amplified the stock speakers, they sound decent. And they can produce bass to shake all the car. Those tiny magnets are neodymium, which can produce the same bass as 4x standard speaker magnet can. So please do your homework instead of inducing people in error. The problem in this car is the source.I would first get a good dsp + eq + amplifier (or the cheap way hondahack + eq off + viper4android) and then i would change the speakers. I mean, that's what i am doing. Putting a dsp+amplifier+eq dramatically changed the way my car sounds. From that crap sound to something decent that i am happy to listen to.I am pretty sure that changing the speakers wouldn;t have gave me the same output. Same shitty signal sent to some better speaker without amplification would basically sound the same.
Hey I’d love some more info on this as I will be looking to upgrade when I get my civic next month. I’m already moving my 12 inch sub setup to the car from my accord which is just a mono amp setup. Not really familiar with dsp so how does it hook into the system and will my subwoofer setup need to be modified to accommodate this?
@@c.s.herman860 this is what I'm wondering too. Since there are already tweeters in this generation of civic wouldn't a component speaker withoit the extra tweeter built in be a better option?
