This camera would be awesome for many things. For people who like to video holiday parties you could put it on the tripod in the middle of the table and record everyone without moving the camera. Garmin makes nice stuff. - Brian Van
Brain great laps. I love Barber you can carry a little more into turn 1 keeping to the right like you were. Awesome laps otherwise, great pace and very consistant on your turn in. missed 1 @ turn 5 after the pass went wide. I have been on Barber many times. I've gone down @ 5 also and been in the gravel trap in turn 1 I was going to fast. Man I miss Barber on my 2004 Aprilia RSVR track bike.I saw roughly a 1:37 lap.. that's roughly where I was a few years ago 1:35/1:40 very nice laps VAN R1 right man those bikes are smooth....
These laps are about 4 to 6 seconds off pace for me at Barber. Best is 31's typically do lots of 33's. This was the last ride on a bike that was never down one time in 3 years. I was holding on to the bike for dear life man. Bike will be up for sale in the next couple of weeks. This camera is super bitchen, intend to use this a little more next year. - Brian Van
This is not just a great track day and action sports tool, it's got some great everyday uses too! Parties, road trips, hiking, etc. What else am I missing?
Barber is one of my favorites for sure. I recommend the trip to anyone who rides the track. Look for a weekend with Sportbiketracktime.com their events are top notch. - Brian Van
Negative on the elbow dragging, I am sitting in the middle of the seat and ride it like I do my couch at home man. I do not hang off as much as I should to be honest. - Van
Gerloff has nothing to fear from me unless we are having a Corona Light drinking contest. He is a true professional and fast as hell. Thanks for watching and the kind words! - Brian Van
The SpeedAngle APEX GPS Lap Timer & Data Logger can do this. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/speedangle-apex-gps-lap-timer-data-logger/
I have the Samsung 360 2017 edition and love it. Which device are you using for your data collection and which software for the video overlay? Thanks Van!!
I used a SpeedAngle lap timer and the Garmin VIRB to collect the data. Both were within 1 or 2 degrees of each other in the end. The overlay on the video uses data collected by the Garmin using their editing software. We have another version of this using the Race Render software and the data from the SpeedAngle that we have not made live. In the end the Garmin software was easier to use with a better end result. - Brian Van
Best lap at Barber on the R1 would be 1:31.9 last year in the fall with SportbikeTrackTime. Best lap of the few in this video would be 1:37.4 or so. - Van
love the camera but good dam hat price tag on it is ridiculous Now for the obvious if you full screen it and then turn the view towards the right side you will see half the brake res blurring and cutting out and then see the triple tree its not perfect and not in my opinion a true 360
This is one of the best product reviews I've ever witnessed. Sold!

Butter!
64 degrees of lean? I didn't know you had a motogp bike!!
No MotoGP bike, I have Pirelli Slicks! Also I should hang off a little more and clean my lines up a bit. - Brian Van
did you dragged elbows?
Negative on the elbow dragging, I am sitting in the middle of the seat and ride it like I do my couch at home man. I do not hang off as much as I should to be honest. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear That's my problem too. I am working on getting my butt off the seat.
from video it seems like the elbows were really close bro!
(love the 360 haha)
Hey Brian. Which feature on the Garmin allows it to shoot video where it stays level while you're leaning?
I have not used this in a while but remember it being a native setting for this camera. - Van
Lookout Gerloff, Van is coming in 2018!
Gerloff has nothing to fear from me unless we are having a Corona Light drinking contest. He is a true professional and fast as hell. Thanks for watching and the kind words! - Brian Van
Cool!
nice bud!
Thanks for watching! - Van
This is an awesome camera view.
Is an updated Race R pro review in the works? Couldn't help but notice the Lorenzo graphic.
Yes it sure is, rode with it for a large part of the weekend. New review coming soon, stay tuned. - Brian Van
Sell us the sensor that measures lean angle like this.

F YEAH!!!
Man do I love that track - Van
Is it just video stabilization using Virb Edit? I mean how to get this effect of the stabilizer?
We did not alter it at all, that is the Virb working its magic my friend. Awesome camera. - Brian Van
May have to give up Dunlop and try Pirelli...
Crazy grip with the Pirelli slicks my brother. - Van
Dang Brian "Vinales" Van ! Start calling you "Vanales".
