the fact that they send the food in real dishes, trusting they get everything back in good shape, speaks volumes in the difference between japanese and american societal behavior.
Yep... Culture is everything! First day i was in tokyo arriving at the station i saw a guy leaving his wallet on top of his MacBook laptop as he walked far away to have a smoke. (You have to smoke in specific spots even when outside in tokyo)
I do not understand how this works logistically. So a specialized employee comes to set this up, and he literally enters your house and helps prepare it for ten, twenty minutes? Then does he wait for you to finish? Do you mail back this stuff? How much a premium is built within this type of food-via-delivery model??

Beautiful meal and served on non disposable plates. Haven’t seen anything like that for delivery before outside of a hotel room. Good video!

This video puts delivery’s everywhere to shame you can see the pride the chefs etc all put into the food everything presented beautifully and all looks so tasty! Even flowers! Wish something like this would exist in Scotland!

What a nice thing to come home to after a 12 hour shift. I'm am consistently amazed at how beautifully Japanese food is prepared. They really have turned it into an artform. I always get a chuckle when you eat the egg pudding dish (chow won mushy? lol. I have no idea how to spell it.) I dont think I could handle the texture either. Thank you for sharing and bringing a smile after a rough night at work.
