Wanted to add...one thing I noticed is that the actually plates of food look exactly like the pictures on the menu. Here in the U.S. you see a beautiful burger and get a smashed looking burger.
Jenn they do seem to care just as much about presentation than taste.
Jenn yhea especially at McDonald’s or any fast food chain, I’m like I want the one I the commercial and I get a weird look lol
not only that you see a big picture of the burger or a taco brimming with meat and you get it and it's half the size!!
I think they just don’t believe in false advertising. In America they setup a glamourshot photo shoot for one picture of the dish.. and we’ve grown to accept and allow that. we should start demanding we receive what is advertised.

I think I can speak for all of your viewers when a say thank you for your hard work and willingness to give back. I as a TH-camr know that packaging all those and shipping them out isn't easy or cheap. Then on top of that all the videos you produce it's all tons of work. It's very, very obvious that you don't have a TH-cam channel or a following of any kind. If you did then you'd understand that when I wrote the comment that I didn't expect a reply. It was a statement and Eric obviously puts a ton of time and effort into his channel so he recognizes a genuine appreciation for his hard work.
Great video! My husband and I have been watching you for a while, we are big foodies and just love seeing all different types of foods/meals from around the world. It was your hot food vending machine videos I saw first and then got hooked. I love the fact that your just being you in the videos and it's all about the food. Thanks for the hard work you do in order to produce your videos, it is appreciated by all your subscribers especially by this Northern Irish couple.

Another great video Eric! I'm loving all the family restaurant reviews lately! Japanese family restaurants are too fun. I remember the first time I ever went to one when I was a kid. It was a crazy hot summer, and I spent a couple hours at the drink bar, rehydrating on melon soda. Good times!

I always thought eating in Japan would be way to expensive, but these family restaurants are proving me wrong!! Love how they always have the long spoons for the parfaits!
One of the things, I enjoyed during my Japan trip is when the food comes to the table it looks identical to the picture in the menu or the plastic food display.

"Calamari" comes from the Modern Greek καλαμάρι kalamári being cited. Ultimately, all of these terms derive from the Late Latin calamarium... it just means SQUID.

Oh wow what a wonderful restaurant! That pizza and salad at the start looks fantastic I love all the ingredients in that salad, so awesome, I would love to eat that and be happy. Fabulous menu that restaurant has 😍😍😍 we call them calamari rings here in Australia, I think squid and calamari rings are the same thing
I think squid rings could just be rings of squid but calamari means battered and fried. Didn't google it so I could be wrong but it makes sense. We call them the same in the US.

Calamari is a different species then Squid. Squid is cheaper and tougher than Calamari. Squid is genus "Nototodarus Gouldi" or the species "Teuthoidea" Whereas Calamari is the genus "Sepioteuthis" which is much more tender. On Squid, "Nototodarus Gouldi" the fin forms an arrow on the end of its body, Whereas the Calamari species "Teuthoidea", the fin forms all the way down the hood. thats the difference. Eric.
There is no difference between Squid and Calamari. They are the same thing: Calamari is Squid in Spanish and Italian. Various restaurants have adopted the word Calamari, and you often find the word calamari instead of squid on the menu.
I love the beard myself, it makes you look wild. But its not up to us if you keep it, if you know what I mean ;)

Squid rings if it's from a fish'n'chip shop, calamari in a café or restaurant, never heard them called "calamari rings" though

Calamari is just another way of saying Squid 🦑 imo. If anything you say Calamari when it refers to food and Squid when you’re talking about it as an animal.

The managers of the restraunts of Japan must love it when they see you walk through the door. They know their gonna hit that weeks sales target. Everything is better with a beard.

They are hamburg steaks or Salisbury steaks. Pretty much individual meat loafs made with ground beef, eggs, breadcrumb, and other crap. They are pretty meh.
