The sun dried pork, rice noodle curry and the beef with sticky rice all looked aroi mak mak and would be my pick of the bunch. Brittany Braumise We did our honeymoon in Thailand and its the best decision we’ve ever made🙌. I’d recommend koh lanta and ao nong over Phuket, but Phuket is still great. Get the agoda app for hotels, and try and stay in different locations during your trip. Have a great time!

Lots of eating ideas to try now ! also your videos are so well produced just wondered about the film crew you use as you do not mention in the credits.

A friend helps me with the camera occasionally, but that's been twice in the last 12 months. Have a great time in Buri Ram, a wedding there is guaranteed to be a lot fun :)
Chicago just had its : "Taste of Polonia"; "African Heritage Festival"; and one I have forgotten, but it is a very nice venue for latin american food, dance, music etc. That beef look great; even Aorn's fish egg portion?. And the purity halal on some of the booths is good. Cleanliness in practice, can reveal carefulness in food prep; good quality. Nice neighborhood 👌😎 Our beaches here, one has to see if bacteria counts are high or low, beside some of the latest chemical spills. Thanks to both of you, for taking us along with you😁

Not the same when I order from my local Thai restaurant here.I don't think they have access to all the ingredients here in the desert. Still good though. I just booked my summer trip on Friday...I'm gonna try Chiang Mai also this time. Hope you guys are well.
They just fold the bag over when there is air in it and seal it with a rubber band. I don't know the reason, I guess probably to stop the food getting squashed if something gets placed on the bag.

I do love your videos Darren but am having a hard time watching this one as I am holed up in my hotel in Kata with a crook guts. Not sure where I picked it up, but it's not a lot of fun. 🥵 BTW, I have been eating a bit at the night market but there doesn't seem to be too much variety. Maybe this area is too touristy......
My advice would be get to a pharmacist ASAP Colin if you haven't been already. I've met people who leave it too long and spend their holiday in bed because they didn't go. Treatments are cheap and effective. Make sure what they give you includes charcoal tablets. I haven't been to Kata for a few years now, and the big night market they had there has since closed, so I don't know what's available there nowadays.
Yep, I brought some ciprofloxacin and charcoal with me. Starting to feel a bit better. I'm heading home tomorrow anyway. Next time I'll get to Krabi. Was there about 15 years ago. Kata is like Bali for Russians🙄

Hahaha, yes, I'm pretty sure that with the lottery you've got to be in it to win it Chris 🤣 And yes, that made sense, fermenting the pork does a similar job to cooking it, so you don't get sick. If I'd known it was a raw version I actually wouldn't have ordered it. Aorn, for whatever reason, only tells me these things when they're already in my mouth - like the time I ate half a worm in an eggplant in another video. How can you eat cold food like that? That's one thing i dislike about many Thai food stalls. They are always serving cold food. And its also not safe to eat food that is standing outside all day. If its not freshly cooked and hot its not safe to eat in Thailand.
Ambient temperature is never cold in the area where we live, thus food doesn't get "cold" as such. I can eat it because it tastes great and I enjoy it. The food is not sitting outside all day, these shops set up in the morning and within a few hours they have sold out. I have eaten food like this very regularly since I moved to Thailand in April, 2012 and I have never had any issues resulting from it.
I have been to Thailand twice. I have eaten what the locals have eat. I have eaten at many night markets and food stalls and never had a problem. Food there is made fresh daily and as Darren has replied, the food stalls do sell outpretty quick. However my wife did get food poisoning from restaurant food in Bangkok.

Yes, it's hard to get the same flavours outside of Thailand. I'm sure you're going to love Chiang Mai, there's some great food up there!
