First off, love your vids. New pipe smoker from nyc. I love all pipes but a straight pipe I love most. Specifically, anything that is in Bing Crosbys style. I have a few from different makers.
Will defo have a look, we bought a block from Vauen that we can shape into our own pipe shape but have no idea how to, so for now, we're smoking a big blocky pipe. It is easy to put down though 🤣
Although i have been trying pipe smoking for the past few years i still haven't discovered the "perfect pipe". I lean towards larger bowls in a churchwarden length, but have a few nose warmers also. Thanks for your input 👍
A very decent shape. But it's tough to pick favourites. I enjoy Dublins, especially the zulu (Savinelli's shape 413 KS) but I also like canted billiards (Canadian's mainly) and the cutty shape, occasionally 1/4 bent. I have a meerschaum which is similar to the Peterson 69 - ans it's a great smoker. The bulldog's (80s) with the spiggot is a very pretty pipe (I also just recently bought the Christmas 2022 copper edition). Ah... I see I may be suffering from PAD.
Great video response. Good to see Jack's work promoted in the community. I have a commission from him and its stunning. Smoke beautifully. He crafts classic pipe shapes to a very high standard. I love how he does his staining and rustication.
Straight pipe with a round billard bottom They way a pipe sits in your hand and when you place it in your mouth it has to well balanced and not too heavy . God bless 🙌 🙏 Greetings from south africa 🇿🇦
Great video mate! Appreciate the kind words. I watched this when it came out but I lost track of what I had replied to and not hahah. Have a great week and thanks for taking part!
The Peterson 2022 Christmas spigot is, indeed, beautiful. I’m sorry I missed out on getting one in my favorite shape! Hope you have a good weekend, Wilson 😀💨💨
@@TheSpurgeonPiper Wilson, brother, I love ya! One just popped up on the Peterson website. I’d given up because I thought they were done making them. I got it for cheaper than they sell them here in the states, even after shipping costs.
As a newer pipe smoker I am curious about how pipe shapes and bowl sizes affect the different types of tobacco. Could be a good topic for a video.
It certainly would! I have it down for a future ep.
@@TheSpurgeonPiper Awesome!

Definitely prefer a bent shape. Have a Peterson B42 and a 307 and a 312 on the way, should arrive Monday.
I also love 69 shape peterson brand bent black colour ❤❤❤❤❤
Slightly bent Dublin shapes or Neerup freehand pipes
As a new pipe smoker I am still trying to figure out what I like the best a bit of hit and miss at the moment but fun trying to get there
That's exactly how it should be viewed! It takes time and trial to figure it out.
Are you catholic or protestant?
I love Peterson too 😃⭐🍃🍃✌️
I like a clincher strate pipe.
Canadian!
I only use bent stims.
I like the stain glass windows in the church house.
Thanks!

Bent pot

Hey, it just gives you a reason to buy more pipes!
@@TheSpurgeonPiper yup...hard part is telling my wife "no honey, i had that pipe for years " 😉
Those windows are gorgeous!
Thanks! I think so too
My favorite is the bent pipe in general and in particular, the Savinelli 606 model.

Love Jack's pipes! Incredible craftsmanship.
Indeed
Same here. I recently took delivery of a commission from him. It is lovely.
I started with pots and still find them under appreciated, but bent billiards are more practical.
Shape 69 was the first real pipe I bought many years ago. Smokes fantastic, love the feel. It's a winner!
The bent billiard is definitely my favourite type too
I have to say my Castello shape 55 . also a hawkbill (radice) is nice and can be had for a reasonable price.

Very nice Wilson. My favorite has become the 68 Bent Brandy from Peterson. Very similar but with a little extra roundedness.
I almost chose that model myself. I have a 2019 Christmas pipe in that shape and it's a favorite. Definitely a super close 2nd.
Beautiful pipes!...It's great to see your church sanctuary..Thanks for your channel and take care.
Thanks brother!
Agreed. The 6-9 shape is perfect for reading, writing, and working. Out of the line of sight. Easy on the teeth anf lips.
Absolutely

No problem at all and you as well!
Wilson, have you used softy bits? They make any pipe a comfortable clincher and they save a lot of tooth ache lol.
I have. I actually made a video on them some time ago. However, I never got used to them so I don't at the moment
My favorite pipe shape is a bent egg shape. I do have other shapes but I find that I reach for my bent eggs most often.
I like that shape as well
Love that shape. Both beautiful pipes 👍🔥💨
Thank you!
Great balls of fire, we agree on pipe shapes! I prefer any bent to a straight!
There you go!
The one I reach for most often is a bent apple shape. Similar to the bent billiard. Both are comfortable hangers in nice traditional shapes.
Yup, the bent apple is a great shape

Hey Sam! Curious, what shape were you looking for? Have a good weekend as well my friend!
@@TheSpurgeonPiper 80s 9mm. Bent bulldog. Those got snatched up very quickly.
