I wish SBC churches/pastors would open themselves up to liturgical worship and NOT be so pulpit/preaching dominant. Worship is an action wherein WE offer sacrifice in honor of a Holy God that CHOSE to offer us salvation through his divine HOLY Son! THAT is worthy of of our active worship, not passive "church".

I don’t know why, but this one really bites the heck out of my tongue. Maybe some age will tame it and knock down a little of the citrus.

If you are concerned about lungs/mouth diseases and still enjoy pipe tobacco (NOT CIGARETTES), n dont want to quit. Just take preventive measures, such as consuming fresh fruits, drinking green tea, mullein tea, natural juices, nascent iodine, n other supplements. DYOR in. I've read many instances of people who religiously live the healthiest lives as possible, that do not smoke and get terminal illnesses/diseases cancers etc... so you can't win either way. Fate is fate.

This is a must buy for younger pipe smokers. I say this because I have recently smoked a 1983 tin of McCrannies Red Flake which was made up of the same leaf. The popped tin of tobacco 41 years old was very good. Layers of sugar crystals and a deep complex flavour of currants and fig. I suspect if you put this aside for 20 years you will be well rewarded. By then, tobacco might well be outlawed so when you find a good Virginia just cellar it.

Greetings. I love your videos, they give me peace. I have a small question, maybe many pipe lovers have a problem with this. Are artisan pipes really worth the money? Are artisan pipes really better than factory-made pipes?

If you don't already smoke, don't start. If you do start with pipes, the tobacco will hurt your mouth. Pipes are for those with several years of smoking under their belt. Pipe tobacco is generally very strong and will kill a newbie. (Tongue bite, strong & uncomfortable in the mouth, etc.) If it's not packed correctly, you'll also have a bad experience. Pipe smoking is an art.

I've been getting frustrated trying to get this right and between the comments and the video i can't believe the difference in flavor and smoke production. So much more of an enjoyable thing now that i don't have it baby it every 20 seconds. Microwave trick for the win

Good to see other Christian’s sharing about things like this! I’ve been smoking cigars for about 7 years and really enjoy it. However, my great-uncle smoked pipe his entire life. I always loved the smell. Would it be different for someone like me who only smokes cigars and transition to pipe?

What do you mean by "contrary to TH-cam's recommendations"? Do they flag your video as age restricted if it shows you smoking?

I was an intern before I went to seminary at a parish that was next to a military base in Omaha. Military personnel coming in and out of a parish are a real blessing. Yes, they are usually only there for a while and then get rotated out, and they are missed when the good ones leave. But it's also great blessing because the congregation is never stagnant. You get an influx of new talent and ideas coming in. Don't be afraid to utilize that. It keeps the parish community fresh.

Going to my first pipe show this weekend in Richmond, VA. As a relatively new pipe smoker, I would recommend that other newbies try different styles of blends until you narrow down what you like and what you don't.

Glad to hear that the church plant is going well! What a blessing that is. My family and I have left an evangelical Baptist Church to a Reformed Baptist Church outside of Cleburne Texas. What a game changer and blessing it has been for my family and I. I feel like I know what it's like to be truly fed now. Our eyes and hearts have been opened up to so much biblical truth now. Just keeps me coming back for more and even seeking it out in my own time. So I understand what you mean about how refreshing it is. Hope to see you at the pipe show!

The best advice for a new pipe smoker is buy a corn cob pipe then buy some decent tobacco. If you enjoy the taste/feeling then buy more :)

I love bourbon and whiskeys, and it took me a bit of sippin over time, not to long to develop the ability to smell the notes, and taste the notes, as a beginner pipe fan I feel this is a necessary step, I packed my bowl not so full, and smoke in smaller batches until zi can gradually develop the ability to taste, smell, and deal with tje nicotene .

I'm a new smoker and do struggle somewhat with being overcome with the strength. I use smaller amounts now and have recently bought an unused Butz Choquin off eBay that has a smaller than average bowl.

I only own one pipe. It’s a MM corncob. I smoke it every day three times a day

My favorite blend families are backwards from what I expected when I started. I am an English guy, which surprises me. I don't like burley in a lot of stuff, but there are some pure Burley blends that I positively love! Opposite that is my taste for Virginias, my least favorite by itself but goes great in nearly everything. Although, I love a good Va Per

100% agree that Zippos with the pipe insert are the way to go. If the fuel taste is an issue, letting it burn for 5+ sec before putting it to the tobac seems to reduce the taste some, but I've grown to like that taste a bit at the beginning, haha

Great video and like the story about your friend giving you money to get a pipe for his father for Christmas. That's a pretty special gift.

I'm not sure how I missed your videos until now. Great review on Golden Sliced. I like your review style. I'm a pipe maker and I've been enjoying this tobacco for over 15 years. I've really started to appreciate it in the last 5 and it has become my favorite in the last 2 years. I'm glad that I purchased 10 100g tins 5 years ago and another 10 2 years ago. It ages really well. To all new pipe smokers, stock up on pipe tobacco like Golden Sliced since the prices will only go up and this one gets sweeter with age.

what kind of tobacco do you smoke whats your diet and lifestyle like

Look - find a reviewer of tobacco (Wilson, whomever) and try out the blend the person recommends, but then go back and re-watch or re-read the review and see if you can ‘align’ your taste buds, your palate, with what the reviewer (Wilson, whomever) said. What you are looking for is alignment of your palate to the reviewer’s palate SO THAT when the next recommendation comes along, you will know that you two are in the same wheelhouse. I enjoy Wilson and his style but have found that the blends he loves are not ones I love. Doesn’t stop me from listening to his wisdom! But it does cause me pause when I make purchasing decisions. I review tobacco on Tobacco Reviews as TMS-Davis-CA and totally accept that many people either don’t like or don’t appreciate the style I use in reviews. What I do try to do is say, ‘this blend is like X, and Y, and Z, etc., so if you happen to like X, Y, and Z or one or two of them, then you will probably like the one under review. The problem is that new smokers need to get to around 50 blends covering all categories (English/Balkan, Aromatics, Virginia-based, Orientals) to know what they sort of like vs. sort of not like. So, if you are new, any reviewer suffers from the same issue - those who listen may not know enough to know what they like or don’t like, and there is no way a reviewer can help that person find a good blend (for them). Again, I don’t know Wilson (but I do respect him). What I have seen so far is that his palate is really different from my palate, and so while I love his channel, I don’t follow most of his recommendations. Hope this makes sense to people. Get a good alignment with a reviewer and then purchase.
