- Waited so long for this siren! I promise I'll get the ALL Dip Switch Whelen 295HFSC9 video done before the end of the year!
If I am able to figure it out, I might add a secondary speaker to make a dual siren, assuming it can do that. I might be thinking of Core though, or another CenCom system Whelen made.

Love the old Unitrol-like tones, but especially the Ultimate HiLo at 6:39.
Sounds the same as FedSig's Ultra Hi-Lo
1:19 otw to a call and people just brake right in front of you leaving nowhere else to go😂
1:39, 2:04, and 2:23 are the sirens we have on our ambulances. My favorite is the one at 2:23. I use it when entering intersections and when people won't move over.
Awesome Demo! The Italian ambulance tone can also be heard on Italian Fire Trucks.
That was a really good clear video on all the tones! It pretty much have everything. I would use Alt Wail, For wail. Warble for Yelp and Ultimate Hi-lo for Piercer. For Man I would use Mech Wail and for horn I would use Ultimate Horn (rumbler horn)
Wow, crazy
4:06 You know most notabily if you went further up north to Portland or possibly Tigard. (I heard one of the FPIUS used the alt yelp) You would be hearing the alternate tones here and there.
The wail 850-1700 4 seconds also seems to be a popular siren overseas, particularly in the UK.
The UK uses a lot of Whelen Alpha sirens - the Wail 850-1700 5.25s is the Carbide/Core equivalent of the Whelen Alpha wail tone.
The siren at 8:45 sounds a lot like ambulances i herd in Amsterdam when i went years ago
I love fs smart siren.
How do you get all of the 60+ tones
Man they "borrowed" a lot of tones from other companies
Ultimate Hi-Lo is Whelen's rebranded Ultra Hi-Lo from a Touchmaster Delta siren.
@@PlatinumEagleStudiossame thing with the "Dozer" tone. Whelen's rebrand of the Touchmaster Hetro tone.
It’s so awesome they did. One unit replaces many.
Also they are standard tones some of them
I’m surprised in all of that they don’t have a super low pitch Airhorn like old Whelen and Federal signal ones
Great stuff brother we’re awesome very beneficial and informative out there! 👍🏼 🫡
انا رئيس "رئيس قسم فى العمل الذى اشتغل فيه" واحب ان استمع للسارينه لانه الرؤساء يمشون فى مواكب ومعهم الشرطه واتخيل انى فى السياره وجالس فى الكرسى ومعى سيارات الشرطه .:انه شعور جميل
7:25 LBPD uses that tone
I wish it was the old three tone siren!
Me too
is there a way to change the siren so like t1 is wail but then you hit a button then its mech?
Yeah in the events tab (I think, haven’t used the program in a while, could also be the Virtual Inputs tab, can’t remember which) you can program the manual button to switch T1 to mech or whatever other tone you want.
There are tons of ways to change the siren. That's something I love about programming these Whelen systems for customers.
It's not just France that uses that ambulance tone at 15:27, Spain also sometimes uses it as well.
11:00 best siren ever made, very rare now
Does it have a separate amp box, or attached to the control head?
Separate Amp Box
@@OregonFireBuff oh, alright. Thanks!
Where were you doing this? Could the video have an alternate title of “18 minutes of annoying nearby people.” Lol. Cool siren, nice to see they put every possible tone you’d ever want in it
In a garage. The sirens are heavily muffled with styrofoam and pads it just sounds loud. When the garage is closed you can barely hear it from the outside, we’ve tested it.
@@OregonFireBuff cool, I’ve done similar. My solution was putting the speaker in a folded up pillow and stacking heavy stuff on it.
Same siren Salem uses? Looks like the same control box.
Yeah Salem PD, most department's in general use this. Salem PD might have a different version though, this control head is popular for multiple sirens Whelen owns (I think.)
@@OregonFireBuff makes sense. Looks like the ones they used when I worked for them
Why so many sirens? Lol
This control head can be used with numerous Whelen systems, ranging from the HHS4200 all the way to Carbide and more. They all use the same software for programming and have the same siren tones available. The difference between these systems lays in the light control and vehicle inputs. Depending on the system you can fully control the lights and even use vehicle inputs for automated functions.
The other difference is the WeCanX/ Core system and control head. WeCanX/ Core controllers are technically the same but in different colors and for use with Core. Core itself has a few extra tones that the other Whelen systems like Carbide don't have.
4:09 6:39 10:50 gore for Unitrollers (I will never forgive Wh*len for this)
Another air horn fanatic 🤮
I'm just showing off the horn, for those who either wanna record the sounds for other uses, or just get a good look at what it sounds like in full/context.
Whelen's Ultimate Hi-Lo tone is basically Federal Signals Ultra Hi-Lo tone found on their Touchmaster Delta sirens. Also Whelen's Dozer tone is a copy of another Federal tone too. Whelen copies Federal and manages to get away with it somehow........
Welcome to the world of sirens 😄 There are plenty of tones out there that sound close to sirens from other companies. I can understand all the different opinions about that. As a programmer of these systems I like that Whelen has these tones. This is a neat little extra for some customers. On the other hand FedSig copied Whelen's M-series and they get away with it as well.
@@Rummeltobi I mean FS could've trademarked those tones like they did with the Federal Q siren. FS trademarked the Federal Q so if anyone tries to replicate it they'll get sued.
Buddy they’re Unitrol tones
