Because Whelen is USA made and not an Asian made product like Federal Signal. If you support US officers, I suggest you support a US lighting company as well.
SoundOff Signal's bluePRINT system is similar to this and has the ability to sync multiple vehicles together via bluetooth radio connection. I don't think Whelen compares in that regard.
My 36 plus years of Experience as a LEO and a Whelen Systems Installer. All this is fine, but overkill. Officers might be thrilled by all this, but Motorists will respond as they always do, Stop in front of you or want you to pass them. Not right, but that's what they do. Keep it simple, unless you just want to spend money.
Most can’t even be bothered to change siren tones when running code lol. The best advancement in emergency lighting(besides leds, which is debatable to some) is park kill. A close second is day/night dimming. Programming a satellite while dodging idiot drivers is a distraction
So, all my lights should all be set to steady ? And let the Core do the work and programming ? Totally new to this. Ive installed basic LED strobes, bit never all this.
question: I'm a mobile tech. I travel to and fro to my customers and sometimes in emergencies (stall on street or HWY) I only want amber and white but love those patterns can I only order this same package for amber and white?
You should have done some QC testing before filming this video. I'm sure you realize that your dual tone demonstration didn't necessarily operate as it should have or was explained by your narrator. Luckily most people wouldn't notice. But next time I'd be sure that all your programming and operations are on point before filming a marketing video for TH-cam.
NFPA (Fire Protection Assoc) has made the following statement from actuaries attempting to add manufacturer specific features to fire apparatus and ambulances: "No formal consensus studies presently exist that can support the specific claims being made. There are certainly strong opinions, which can establish a defendable hypothesis, but more research is required. New language is structured to provide a simpler explanation and cover the general intent of altering optical characteristics and reference some available options."
I tested snm heads with a Whelen smart logic controller. They dimmed and did all the patterns like the Whelen heads. I was told by Whelen that if the heads play nice with the smart logic that they’ll do dvi.
The DVI pattern is pretty cool, it's like it makes the LED's behave like halogens.
I subscribed I definitely need more learning on Whelen core please do videos on connections to Whelen core brain
Great video, would love to see some programming in the next one.
being a federal signal installer i enjoy the whelen stuff much more. nicely done
Really, how come?
Yes, how come?
Yes, how come?
Yes, how come?

Great video and explanation of features and benefits!!! Keep up the good work! And thanks for all the Whelen support!!
I can't say where i work. As a person that likes soundoff signal. Whelen product has really grown. Nice product
0:37 Syncing all the lights up is the real key here and when you have a 'Bapp Bapp' on your siren controller to let people know you are there - Boss!
Was always a sound off fan but this video has me rethinking.

@@UahUahUah whelen has a V2V sync
Impeccable explanation sir. I need to get my truck done asap!
That is soo cool love the emergency lights all around the car
Good to see you back! :D
Yes!
Awesome work, love the brutal honesty, and that you take care of the local people 👍
Solid video, love the Wheelen core system but hate programming it.
I love it! Please share some programming and other possible things like puddle lights etc
I really appreciate the amount of detail you go into in your videos. Does the Abrams tornado activate continously or does it shut off after some time?
If I was on scene I would have the slow flash for the grill and the side and the rear and then have the back and front visor steady burns
Great job at explaining!

Its literally all about staying up to date and getting the most power efficient electronics.
Step aside 😅😂

Hope you post more videos 👍👍👍
Fantastic video. Very informative. Thank you.
Excellent install and explanation
Great job explaining
Will there be a video featuring the Escalade?
But you guys do great work

Yes basically
Thanks!
Do you use diodes when flashing the brake/reverse lights to not mess up the cars computer or is that not necessary
How did you set up the Howler to be it’s own on/off button. I’ve been in the software for moths and I still haven’t figured it out.
Great. Must you purchase a additional amp, in order to have dual tone.
The hatzolah are insane lol
Maybe a pov view while installing?
Is there a specific module you need to get the factory lights running to the core brain?
How is the distribution box wired
A core and some M5 and then we throw in a Slim Lighter and Abrams? WTF?
Are M5’s even supposed to be mounted vertically with their optics? Great light head though
That’s awesome!
question: I'm a mobile tech. I travel to and fro to my customers and sometimes in emergencies (stall on street or HWY) I only want amber and white but love those patterns can I only order this same package for amber and white?
You could have rewired the Abrams bar to fully control it with core
How much costs all the equipment and the installation for all of that?
The lorem ipsum at 3:35 lmaaooooo
What was the name of the tone at 0:47
How is the 21 slide connected to the Brain? When you walk around I don’t see a wire connecting it to the car?
How do I get the ray gun style siren by itself? It's the secondary siren to the normal police style siren.
How to do you program the Inneredge to flash orange / white? I am having trouble programing that correctly.
do a MRAP setup for a swat division
Amazing work man

how much is this set up???
Hi there, do I have to use a Whelen control head with core or can I for example use a Motorola P25 O9 Radio Comtrol Head?
where you located at sir?
Can u show where u put the speakers at I just got a keep like that and am putting lights and sirens on
Love it.. but I hate the controller bro.. I end up selling off.. to big., to nasty, and eye sore.. and I also know it's old schold square plastic
Can you DVI the lightbar?
Where are you guys located?
What's the cost of something like that?
wish you would find a better dash light and smoke the lenses, would add a much better look to the car
Just A Curious Question To Anyone Who Can Answer, Who Do They Do The Fit Outs For?
Any evidence the d-v-i pattern is necessary, required or more effective than any other slow rate pattern?

Is the Strobes n More ILB cord friendly? Meaning can it do DVI?

I miss
Hatzolah?
You should have put a Whalen traffic advisor instead
Defiantly an NY car
