I had pa 300 silver and black face worked great never quit working. Depart bought the omega sirens holy crap nice tones and that sweep feature but boy did they fail a lot nothing more irritating to have your siren quit in a pursuit or they would turn. The pa 300 never failed
Bricks World Hello, unfortunately, the top one is not currently working, I need to monkey around with it and I haven't had the time yet. But on the bottom PA300, did you want to hear just Hi-Lo for a duration?
Hi I have a question I have a PA 300 and a Whallen speaker but can’t get it to work can you offer any advise? I can get the microphone to work but no sirens or horn
the older model pa 300's were the great until federal started to fuck them up in the early 2000's by going higher pitch. whelen just did the same thing a few years ago.
Mister Turds Yeah, I prefer the lower pitch too. It would be awesome if Whelen made a low pitch siren system series. The ambulances in my area run a duel whelen system (295slsa1), but with a rumbler, so they sound at least a little more interesting.
Looking to buy a PA300. Is the microphone able to be taken off? Also is the 2nd top PA300 an older model? I’m trying to look for one of those since it sounds better.
Some models have a jack for the mic, but they are a little harder to find than those that are build it. Yes, the second to the top one is a bit older, but I’m not too familiar with the years.
David Moore I don’t own a radio system, so I can’t make a video to show you, but according to Federal Signal: “To allow incoming radio messages to be rebroadcast over the outside speakers, connect the two brown zip cord leads (pins 1 and 2) across the two-way radio’s speaker.” To clarify, this is for the newer model, 10 pin connector. The older model has different pin #’s, but the brown zip cord looks the same.
David Moore I believe it was originally designed to re-broadcast the police (or fire) radio out your siren speaker. So, you would tie those two brown lead wires to where your internal speaker is (Whether that is a separate speaker in the vehicle or the speakers in the car doors.) Just note that if it’s not an official (gov’t) vehicle, it would be a good idea to check your local laws on broadcasting sounds outside a vehicle, if that’s your intention. It is illegal in some areas.
allintodrumsandguns thanks for the fast reply, im actually looking to purchase a 2007 crown vic this weekend and in the ad it says it comes with the PA300.
Awesome! I actually own a 2008 CVPI. Love it to death (no siren in it). Just double check your local laws regarding sirens, I’ve known a few people who’ve gotten in trouble for having an unauthorized siren installed in their private vehicle. All the best to you!
Nick Kiczek The easiest way to start is a general search including your state and “siren in my vehicle”. You should be directed to your states vehicle code. It’s kind of like a phone book for vehicle laws and regulations from proper tail lights to trailer laws and so forth. Somewhere in there will be a clause about audible noise from your vehicle. Some states do allow a siren to be in your vehicle as long as it’s not used on a public road way, while other states prohibit a siren even being in the vehicle at all. I grew up in CA and if you so much as altered your car horn, you were in violation of the vehicle code.
Good onya mate, your demo duo of the 2 against eachother was spot on. I would like to purchase a decent workin condition PA300 like the one you fried for the Dingo's brekky. I am head of security for a small comunity and drongo fuckwit crims rack off at the sound of the sirens they grew up on watchin skippy and today's Rush TV series, the new one's like the Rumbler makem laugh and na na taunt me . Prevention/deterance is 75% in the head on crims, another 15% is luck, the remainin 12% is chance and hands on sorta. Yeah i know i am 2% over in me calculations but i did that to bugger the minds of the winjers of the world. Cheers Do ya know of a link where i can purchase a PA300 earlier model?
Yehuda Miller I have found the ones that I have on eBay. If you’re specifically looking for an older model, that might take more time in searching. I have an older model PA300 that I’m yet to do a video on, but hopefully I’ll get to it soon! Thanks for the kind words!
allintodrumsandguns I have two, one with a 12 pin (1999) and one with a 12 pin and srcew in fuse ( unknown date) but I need help with the wiring harness and hooking it to a speaker ( meaning which wire goes where). I also don't know which wire is the PA system.
Alex Clifford Depends. The average civilian (in almost all cities and jurisdictions) may NOT install a siren in a personal vehicle. You would need to be authorized to install one in your vehicle. (Volunteer Fire, security, etc.) Hope that makes sense.
Alex Clifford You’re welcome! I didn’t realize you were outside of the US. In that case, I don’t know laws of other countries, so I would either ask your local police dept. or look online at your vehicle code rules. Cheers!

If you didn't see the description, I know 4x3 is not 18, my mind totally blanked so please forgive me.
allintodrumsandguns can you do a video of the pa300 on the top sound wail and the bottom one sounds hi lo
Bricks World Hello, unfortunately, the top one is not currently working, I need to monkey around with it and I haven't had the time yet. But on the bottom PA300, did you want to hear just Hi-Lo for a duration?
allintodrumsandguns yes
allintodrumsandguns just another question do u sell these
Bricks World Ok, I'll get that video out soon. I currently don't sell any, just my own private collection...for now.
Brings back memories, Thank you Sir!
Satisfying to hear
I had never found such good passionate demo videos for these awesome sirens!
I'd also like to know his top 5 picks.
Top 10 product. Nice tones. Very good video. More videos please lol lol.
There are pots inside these that you can adjust the speed/frequency of the tones. The bottom one sounds like it is dialed low.
Great siren, I know this video is rather old, but would you be willing to make a video on each of these with their full tones separately?
Hi I have a question I have a PA 300 and a Whallen speaker but can’t get it to work can you offer any advise? I can get the microphone to work but no sirens or horn
One Video on Whelen 295slsa6 vs Code3 Xcel comparison video
Is there a siren with the manual wail sound of the pa300 AND the newer manual (whoop whoop) sound ?
the older model pa 300's were the great until federal started to fuck them up in the early 2000's by going higher pitch. whelen just did the same thing a few years ago.

whelen recently ruined their sirens as well. that new wail sounds like a toy. its like you almost need a rumbler now.
Mister Turds Agreed. The only one that I sort of like is the CenCom Sapphire. But that’s ~$700-$900 new and hard to find used, so yeah.
R.I.P neighbors
Bryce's gaming That house was in an elderly neighborhood, half the folks there are more than half deaf. XD
What are your top five sirens please?

Where we can buy pa300?
Does LAPD use to have this siren? If yes, when did they switch to the SS2000?
I don’t think they used the PA300. I know they did use the Omega 90 for a while, but I don’t know when they switched over to the smart sirens.
@@allintodrumsandguns thanks for the answer
@@allintodrumsandguns what abou Whelen 295slsa6 and Code 3 xcel series video pls
Could u do a video with the top pa300 on wail and the bottom one on hi lo
The little circle next to the harness what is that for?? The bottom siren.
Nathan Moore It has a dial inside and it’s for the mic volume.(sets the threshold for max volume.)
Is there a video or something on how to use the Radio wires?
David Moore I don’t own a radio system, so I can’t make a video to show you, but according to Federal Signal: “To allow incoming radio messages to be rebroadcast over the outside speakers, connect the two brown zip cord leads (pins 1 and 2) across the two-way radio’s speaker.” To clarify, this is for the newer model, 10 pin connector. allintodrumsandguns I thought it was the stereo system, but what wires does it attach to?
David Moore I believe it was originally designed to re-broadcast the police (or fire) radio out your siren speaker. So, you would tie those two brown lead wires to where your internal speaker is (Whether that is a separate speaker in the vehicle or the speakers in the car doors.)
Just note that if it’s not an official (gov’t) vehicle, it would be a good idea to check your local laws on broadcasting sounds outside a vehicle, if that’s your intention. It is illegal in some areas.
More specifically, it would tie into your inside speaker or stereo lead wires.
Oh ok was wondering what that was
Does the gain knob lower the volume to the sirens and all that as well? I’m new to this
It does not lower the volume to the siren, only to the PA mic.
