You can say the big Japanese Four don't take chances anymore, but during the hotrod race of the Golden Years there were a few dice rolled. The Honda RUNE comes to mind...
the fury doesn't want to be a Harley. All those other Harley looking V Twins want to be Harley's. That's why the Fury looks so different than any other V Twin!!
Ive never once looked at it and think it was a Harley wannabe. What I have compared it to is other choppers custom and Factory including The HDs. And it as good as any out there, with honda reliability that can't be matched by any other chopper manufacturer.
Could be! I have a Raider, and 2 1800 vtxs, it's pretty slick having smooth, dependable v twins, that most people think are Harleys, then , found an 08 ultra classic for $500.00. just needed a battery, fuel tank removed and cleaned, flushed , new guts put inside, and fuel injectors cleaned out, and the mildew off the bike. Runs like new, almost looks like new. I am now part of the Harley league.
These Videos always cost me money. Bert’s is just a few miles from me and I have already bought 4 bikes in the last 2 years from them watching these videos
My neighbor got a Honda fury recently. I tried to say congrats etc to him bc I always have a couple bikes at least out front and he definitely didn't want anything to do with me. He is a big Boi and usually wears khaki shorts but oh boy when he goes for a ride he cosplays sons of anarchy. 😅 oh well I was trying to be nice but apparently he is now way too cool to associate with me 😂
Nothing wrong with the Honda Fury its a nice bike built with Honda quality and reliability. Its not a Harley so what who cares. Shame it did not have a bigger engine but still a fine bike. Looks great in blue.
Absolutely!! They should have put the VTX 1800 engine in the Fury and doubled the gas tank size. Then Honda would have had a road eating beast that would cure a man’s ED just by starting it.
1. If I knew I was going to be endlessly subjected to the derision of asshats over my choice of bike, it would definitely affect my decision. 2. At some point in the past, Yamaha separated its cruiser bikes off into Star Motorcycles. In 2018 Yamaha put out the Star Venture. There have been 3 generations of the Venture, the Venture Royale, the Royal Star Venture and the Star Venture.
I had the 1300 VTX as my daily rider. 60 miles a day. For many years. Put 80K on it and got into a wreck. After I healed up enough, I fixed it up a bit and got it back on the road. It must have ran for awhile on its side after the wreck because it rattled in the top end and was leaking oil from the case a little. But I rode it 4 more years and I put another 45K on it before trading it in on a Road King. Honda did a good job designing the VTX line. They should have kept them going. At the time I was looking to replace my VTX. Honda wasn’t making a damn thing I wanted.

Love seeing 2 year old bikes in show rooms, those are the best deals, regardless of model, saved myself 4 grand getting a bike I didn't walk into to buy in first place but the savings got me Gear, insurance, gas for the next couple years over the price of the one I was going in for. No regrets just smiles. See the price come down grab it!
14:20 I really wished the Eluder had more power considering it's near 900lb weight. It's a beautiful bike though! I love it's "Yamaha R1 meets a Road Glide front fairing" it just looks so W I D E and something about that just cracks me up in a good way.
Had an SR500, back in the day. And that single lunger shook like a paint mixer. I'm fairly certain it rattled me enough, that I'm partially bald today :)
I have a 2016 metallic blue fury that I bought in 2022. I get nothing but compliments on it. I've learned it doesn't matter what kind of bike you have if your bike turns heads and people ask my all about it.
I’m a hardcore Harley guy. Started off with the crotch rockets, got me an old shovelhead 3 years in riding and haven’t looked back 29 years later. Just love when you ride and compare all these different bike manufacturers. Two wheels one love. Berts better pay you, you are doing a great job describing the handling and power, the looks a little ah.
The Fury is a fantastic bike. Stylish, powerful and an all around great platform. People can hate but it’s one of the best bikes Honda put out honestly
You... yeah you!! are one funny guy!!! the Honda Fury, I always thought it looked cool but like some I didn't want my friends see me on it, being stranded on the side of the road with my chopper Shovelhead that didn't look to cool either, thanks for the laugh made my day!
Love my 2020 fury! Last bike I had before this...Paul Yaffe chopper...don't miss it the least bit. I'm 44 now and been riding 2 wheels since I was 8. I've had'em all.
I bought an older Royal Star to get the V4 based on the Vmax, thing is awesome, it gets up and goes cruises nice at over 80 it's at home on the highway.
The Star Venture is an awesome looking ride! I test rode one a few years back and almost bought an Eluder, and would have if it wasn't already spoken for. Ended up going with a '17 Road Glide. Great review Shadetree!
the fact that honda killed both the vtx 1300 and 1800. then fuel injected the 1300 motor for the fury. added a 1300 sabre, stateline, and interstate...killed them as well. but low and behold still making the fury? just crazy, i miss the 1800
@jacobcurtis6849 yeah higher price didn't help but I think the design/style just wasn't appealing with those 3. Like they tried to make a vtx more "fury-ish" and just came out looking odd.
The Sabre looked good to me, a pro street version of the fury. The interstate and the stateline were boring looking with the full fenders and fatter front tires. The Sabre looks like the Fury without the extended front forks, a lower leaner look.
The Fury is cool, and weird..... it's a chopper by any stretch of the imagination. It sure looks like one... it's raked out... the frame is extended way up.... and yet somehow, *_some-fucking-how_* Honda managed to make it handle like a normal cruiser. I don't know what kind of magicians they got working at their engineering department but..... damn if they didn't work their magic.
I have owned a lot of Harley bikes and I also own a fury now. It’s a fun bike and has Honda reliability without the Harley price tag and maintenance issues. I can leave mine in the garage for a winter and start it up without any problems.
Got my new 2017 mat black Fury as a left over in June 2018. It was my first injected bike even though was riding since the '70's. Traded in my commuter VT1100 that I racked up 57K miles in 4 years and still ran like new. Brought the VT1100C to the shop for some routine maint when they showed me the New Fury for $8,999. Look, I'm not a chopper guy (I thought) but wanted an injected bike so I signed the papers. Immediately started commuting. By end of second year, had over 25K on it. Yeah, put on a windshield, several saddles, and ugly throw over bags for work stuff but it grew on me fast. Since my commute was (don't work there no MO') 150 miles round trip on I95, have to say that Fury is drama free but the small tank gives 120 miles from full until the "I'm thirsty light" begins nagging for attention like a soap opera watching house wife at the end of the day. If it comes to that, given the choice, I'll keep the Fury! 😊
OMG i have both the fury and venturre star. However my blacked out Fury is a 2014 and highly customized. custom made by S&S cams, headers, sleeves, hyper charged air intake, remote controlled air ride suspension, custom fab sisy bar, mirrors, custom exhaust. ivans tuned, removed governor, and goes from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. And my venture star is an 08. the carbureted v4 is amazing. custom exhaust too. Ive ridden my fury cross country multiple times. Venture star wife and I just got and we will be taking it cross country very very soon. love the content keep up the great work.
i remember unboxing them brand new at the dealer ship when they first came out ...., couldnt believe how good the build quality was and everything about them ( especially the welds on the frame ) id have one...and i do have a sense humor , i have a Harley . 😎
My first bike was a 2016 Fury. I've honestly loved every second of it. I didn't search out for it. Went to a local dealer, and saw the bike around a bunch of your average stock of Harelys. The Fury just felt right. Sidenote-The Venture's fairing looks like the RoadGlide fairing and the R1 fairing of the time had a love child. It's a good combo of the 2 looks.
I remember reading - That Honda is so big, it can afford to be weird now and then. And it will do so to try capture a new market. I should look up the sales figures for the Fury, be interesting to see the sales. (I’d love to ride one too, I’m sure it would be fun)
I dig the Fury. I ride an '01 Softail Deuce. The Fury just looks clean, cool. A bigger motor would have been better. I have 3 friends who have a Fury, and they have nothing bad to say about them. All I can say is, if you're on 2 wheels, you're having fun, and you're part of the bike fam. BMW, Harley, Ducati, Kawasaki, etc.....everyone has different tastes, likes, preferences, needs. We all share one thing..WE LOVE BIKE.
We need a shirt design based on "the cool chopper guys". like now! Thanks for cracking me up and making people at work think i'm crazier than they already think. X)
The "Royal Star" designation was only used for the V4 previous version. That bike was just called Venture. I think it look great also and would have bought on had it been made with the liquid cooled V4. I rode a Royal Star Venture for 16 years until trading it for an Indian Challenger.
That fury hornet is nice. Just bought a yamaha raider, and absolutely love it, and the price I paid. Test rode a 2013 cvo bo with a stage 5. My raider fit me better, at half the price. But then again, my honda silver wing just makes me smile every time I ride.
The most beautiful Harley out there this year is the Breakout 117. It looks like a work of art on two wheels and it's got a lot of punch for a cruiser. But I dig naked sports bikes.

I just got a Husky Supermoto 701 about 3 weeks ago. Coming from a sportster 883, the husky scares the crap out of me in the best way
If I had a dollar for every time someone said nice bike while out riding the Fury I could buy a keg of beer. If I had a dollar for every time someone said what is that while out riding the Fury I could buy a partyball. Thanks for the video as always, great stuff.
"...before she even has time to bust out the Hitachi!" I genuinely laughed out loud at that one!
My Pop had a fury, he loved it. I really enjoyed it, Everytime I was in it.
You can say the big Japanese Four don't take chances anymore, but during the hotrod race of the Golden Years there were a few dice rolled. The Honda RUNE comes to mind...
The Rune was someone's art project. Astoundingly beautiful, not so practical for a daily driver.
Looks pretty badass and most Honda's are bulletproof.
I actually liked this Honda. Nothing screams i wanna be a Harley more than the fury but a chopper esk bike straight from factory is pretty dope.
the fury doesn't want to be a Harley.
The fury wasn't trying to be a Harley, it came out during the tv chopper craze.
Back when OCC was popular.
@@partlycloudy9443lol, Guess you've never seen a Super glide!? You know, the bike the fury was based on that was made over a DECADE before the fury.
I'm not sure I understand hating on a company that sees what people like and then makes exactly that. What's wrong with giving people what they want?
The owner of a Honda Fury probably has a Plymouth Prowler in there garage.
Nah, probably a Chevy HHR 😂 or SSR
I actually own a Toyota Tundra...........
Hahahaha
Ft Myers is where I grew up right before I went to the military in 2001 after 9/11. I was working off US 41 as a compter salesman! US Veteran here!
I'll take the Honda Fury 😜😜
And I can’t tell you how much I LOVE the Honda Fury
These Videos always cost me money. Bert’s is just a few miles from me and I have already bought 4 bikes in the last 2 years from them watching these videos
Hats off to Bert, I love to see guys who've made it give back. Well done Sir!
I really enjoy these types of videos, dig learning about new bikes and seeing them in action. Keep kicking ass!
oh god. the center piece on that Fury's motor is a literal Cylon face.
😝 Love how you breezed right through a Stop Sign making a right turn 😂🤣!!!
He was in full rant mode. I'm gonna let him slide.....
Okay that rant about the Honda fury was damned near poetry.
Man your enthusiasm, voice, and ability to ad lib is 💯🔥🤘🏻
I have BMW R1200GS, Royal Enfield 500 clasic, KTM 350 EXC-X, AND A VICTORY VEGAS . They all have two things in common two wheels and a place to sit .
😅 oh well I was trying to be nice but apparently he is now way too cool to associate with me 😂
That Yamaha fairing looks like a Pontiac firebird
Nothing wrong with the Honda Fury its a nice bike built with Honda quality and reliability. Its not a Harley so what who cares. Shame it did not have a bigger engine but still a fine bike. Looks great in blue.
I think this is a beautiful bike. I don't know anything about it, and I will probably stick to the VFR, though.
@@nonyabusiness4151 I will stick to my old blackbird. Vfr is a nice bike too.
@@noelg3384 So is the blackbird, got to try one, smooth.
Absolutely!! They should have put the VTX 1800 engine in the Fury and doubled the gas tank size. Then Honda would have had a road eating beast that would cure a man’s ED just by starting it.
Sounds a little anemic. What are the power stats? Got any grunt at low rpms?
If I’m not mistaken they first frightened insurance companies too with the hurricane 😂
Honda needs to get rid of the Fury and bring back the VTX line. Love my VTX1800
I'm Honda Fury Owner found one for dirt cheap and love it,,, I also think your Fury jokes are funny ... no thin skin here lol
Dafuq you doin' on my bike? You need to get a 690 and we need to go out and play.
He would but the engine will just blow up in classic KTM style
💯💥
You’re so blessed with forgotten angels per motions and doing homeless veterans benefits with Mr. Burt . As a Veteran and a real biker in your area for many years like you to help out with and maybe use some of your promotion talents for the next kids with cancer run and benefit out of Tampa . think it’s Saint Joseph’s.hospital for kids with cancer. I use to live in the area and was a patched rider , Always wished we could do more for those kids . Would make great press for Whoever could step up and help out with a worthwhile promotion like that . Help the kids at the same time . Please & thanks
My son works at a dealer there's been one on the showroom floor for 2 years same bike
FALSE
Back after 2008 the local honda dealer had the same red fury in the showroom for 6 years from what I remember. Refused to discount it.
@@KR-hg8be dealers can send all old fury to me if not can sell any. i love fury.
14:20 I really wished the Eluder had more power considering it's near 900lb weight. It's a beautiful bike though! I love it's "Yamaha R1 meets a Road Glide front fairing"
it just looks so W I D E and something about that just cracks me up in a good way.
There's a purple one near me that looks pretty sharp. A more neighborly person than me would have stopped in and asked about it by now
I’m a hardcore Harley guy.
All honesty...for the price, comfort and quality... screw everyone else haha!! I eyeballed one a few years back.
I owned a Royal Star - daily rider. Never let me down. Absolutely loved it!
Probably the best starting point for someone who wants a chopper. Change a couple of things here n there. Plenty proper chopper baby
The Fury is a fantastic bike. Stylish, powerful and an all around great platform. People can hate but it’s one of the best bikes Honda put out honestly
Fury, not really my style of bike but i bet it's the kind of bike that pays its alimony on time every month.
Reliability is cool!
You... yeah you!! are one funny guy!!! the Honda Fury, I always thought it looked cool but like some I didn't want my friends see me on it, being stranded on the side of the road with my chopper Shovelhead that didn't look to cool either, thanks for the laugh made my day!
Throw a 1800 from the vtx and it will sell like crazy
I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves the fairing on the Venture. It would look sick with a red light on the front like KITT
huh... I love the fury, always have. Also, always liked the Stateline.
Yea, it makes sense.. I tend to like things most people hate😂.. if everyone liked it, it would be lame..
Love my 2020 fury! Last bike I had before this...Paul Yaffe chopper...don't miss it the least bit. I'm 44 now and been riding 2 wheels since I was 8. I've had'em all.
I knew someone who saved up and bought a fury like it was their dream bike. I was like bruh…
I bought an older Royal Star to get the V4 based on the Vmax, thing is awesome, it gets up and goes cruises nice at over 80 it's at home on the highway.
I ride a shovel, so what. The Fury is a damn nice bike, always has been in my opinion
The Star Venture is an awesome looking ride! I test rode one a few years back and almost bought an Eluder, and would have if it wasn't already spoken for. Ended up going with a '17 Road Glide. Great review Shadetree!
the fact that honda killed both the vtx 1300 and 1800. then fuel injected the 1300 motor for the fury. added a 1300 sabre, stateline, and interstate...killed them as well. but low and behold still making the fury? just crazy, i miss the 1800
Nobody bought the other 3
Especially when they upped the price almost $2k
@jacobcurtis6849 yeah higher price didn't help but I think the design/style just wasn't appealing with those 3. Like they tried to make a vtx more "fury-ish" and just came out looking odd.
The Sabre looked good to me, a pro street version of the fury.
The interstate and the stateline were boring looking with the full fenders and fatter front tires.
The Sabre looks like the Fury without the extended front forks, a lower leaner look.
Im definitely adding a Fury to my collection. The 2024 color is clean!
You are as honest as they come. Can't ask for more than that. Great video!
Ran when Parked , love the explanations and theory. My favorite YT show. 🔧 🔧 🔧
Me like bike
Your Fury sounds awesome.
So... is this a PR stunt for Harley Davidson because they went woke?
Love my 2016 Fury. Got a power commander on it and will be getting my STG 2 into 1 exhaust here soon.
i remember unboxing them brand new at the dealer ship when they first came out ...., couldnt believe how good the build quality was and everything about them ( especially the welds on the frame ) id have one...and i do have a sense humor , i have a Harley . 😎
I love my Harley but I would own, ride and enjoy a Fury every day of the week....once the pipes have been sorted. :)
Love this guy. Just a barrage of one liners and bbq talk that's cool with a couple of beers.
I have a 2013 fury and love it
The most beautiful Harley out there this year is the Breakout 117. It looks like a work of art on two wheels and it's got a lot of punch for a cruiser. But I dig naked sports bikes.
I like the look of the Honda Fury! the only thing I don't like about it is the tank size!
