There's no difference in levels. The problem is that most of you guys are calling stations and special snowflakes who think your hands are never beaten. Brewer put him on a boat early on with how Espen was betting. The shove confirmed Brewer's suspicions (though Espen was actually holding quads).
@@RobbieStacks90lol, what a strange comment. No, at no point did Brewer put him on a specific hand. You can’t, he did combos and ICM calculation which came to roughly 50% to call, did a randomiser which gave him an answer. Then finally realised how high of a chance that he had value combos specifically losing to Jorstad, then he folded. He did not put him on any specific hand, he did some terrific maths, quickly then acted…
Espen made a really poor decision to shove. If I were him, I would have bet about $400-500k. Brewer would have had to at least called to see if his king high flush were good, if not shoved the rest of his stack. Poorly played on the river
He had like the 5th nuts and it was for all the other players chips pretty much as well after days of play when he was close to chip lead so it's not that hard a fold
I think Espen gave away information when brewer threw in his time chips, his arm made a quick motion as to quickly reveal his hand which usually is a sign of strength, it might have played a roll in Brewers fold not to take anything away from a great play .
Wow, well spotted. Dont think Brewer saw it though in this instance as it was very subtle. Hard to tell; also if he saw it why would he act that long and use almost all of his time banks?
@@LigmaTV-ms2bq These guys are experienced pros I’m pretty sure he knew there was a chance no matter how slim he could bait Espen into a reaction, the way he throw those time chips in seemed like he sold it as a if you got it you got it call, and might have picked up the read. Yesss I really dont like these time bank chips. I guess when you're playing all the time with them you get used to it but so many times, as a viewer, i thought that the player called. They should come up with a better system or simply not allow to toss them in the middle
@pm2342 exactly, opens up everyone to angle - either intentionally or unintentionally. Maybe something like the player says "time" and they hit the time clock
I think Chris knew he was beat, but as Maria said, with the straight flush draw, he had the right price to call the turn. When Chris doesn't hit that, what bluffs does Espen have?? Zero. He knew he had made the correct fold, even though he probably wanted to fold the turn bet. Well played, Chris!!!
Folding turn was never an option and he would never fold turn with our without the sf draw, she made a commentary mistake in assuming that he is ever thinking about folding. On the flop brewer is wanting to get all the chips in, once the board pairs his hand becomes a pure check call down, if espen bet something like 900k- 1.2 million brewer never folds river. He can have AJ with ace of clubs blocker, he can have worse flushes and even Kj, he can have Aq with ace of club, just no way we are folding if he leaves us chips behind. I think it was a mistake by espen to go full gto with his sizing, chips are too valuable and a smaller value bet was the right choice even though it's not as balanced
@@Spinning-Winningthe thing about Brewer and Espen is, they are regular study mates and very close friends. I'd like to think Espen's river shove is somewhat a mercy all in, vs say raise 900k, gives Brewer a good price to fold.
I remember when he was on down streak for some time. He then played the Triton invitational. Navigating a short stack near the bubble for quite some time, he’d ultimately bubble and was very emotional. It means the world to him, the passion shone through. Nice to witness his upstreak now! 🙌🏼
Imagine stacks were big enough to turn the K high flush with the Tc straight flush blocker into a bluff to get villain off J9/J8/99/88 or an A high flush
Espen doesn't have enough bluffs here. Is he turning AJ or KJ suited into a bluff? He legit has a lot of nut flushes and boats in his range as well as quads and Brewer blocks none of it except AK and A10 of clubs which it is unlikely Jorstad plays this way.
I wonder if because they are close close friends and have been under the same stable that this factors in to his decision. People say it doesn't but I'm almost certain he calls off vs other opponents. Not even kidding the slightest bit
Just for fun I put the 50BB ranges for UTGvMP from RYE (unadjusted for ICM) into a solver. The hand actually is played pretty much exactly like they did (except that JJs 3bets around 50% of the time PF). Actually insane...
Exactly what I was thinking he motioned as to quickly reveal his hand which is really strong brewer prolly picked up on that. I’ve seen a lot of people do that to get reads after all in
AJ with the ace of clubs would make sense the way the hand was played other than that it's nut flush or a boat. Hard to fold but I could find a fold there.
To have 5% chance vs quads on the turn... what a hand! ... the all in from the river makes no sense, why not betting 1million, Brewer will easilly call 1 million with almost any flush/bout when all in is a very hard call... without a full house here or a nut flush.
