Well, what can I say about the seals they are incredible from day one you will notice the difference. No more washing up liquid, which, for me, was a god send. The suction is just always there. The pumps that Dave makes are really good as well, and after going through a few others, his pumps really stand out as some of the best on the market made with love.
Thanks for all the pump videos, helped me make my own and seals, one thing i do differently is use 2 part liquid silicone, it sets within hours and saves a lot of time messing with tubes of silicone. 👍
Had my first proper day out today with a batch, worked really well, manage to get some of the biggest black worms I have ever seen, and i have dug a few over the years,, so was happy with my progress being new to this.
@@sparksnthat hi its great when you make your own stuff and it works great well done good luck with the pump and seals i hope my vids helped in some way happy pumping
Hi Dave, My experiments have continued this week and I have made a new discovery for seals, latex banding, have you tried that? Had my best results with it yesterday, definitely worth a try.I have made a short and put it in my channel for you to see, let me know what you think 👍
Been pumping with Dave’s pumps and silicon seals for a while now. I can’t fault them, quality bits of kit and so easy to use compared to previous versions I have owned. I don’t even bother taking the washing up liquid with me anymore as they run perfectly well without any. Brilliant suction and smooth to use with just the water in the sand.
Hi John i use to make the top caps out of chopping board with a 9mm drill bit fixed to a 25mm hole cutter these work well and easy to make the 1s i make now i turn on a lathe all depends how much you use the pump
Brilliant, many thanks, ironically i watched your vid on the different coloured seals, i have a DS bait and it is COMPLETELY USELESS with the supplied yellow seals hence the reason im going to make some, many thanks again Dave.@hastingsangler
Well dave I've been watching quite a few of your videos. as you would know this as I reached out to you for worms. I actually copied your pump around 15 months ago..with all the people that you have been pumping down your end you will be out of worm's to pump. ☹️🏴🍻 top job.
Hi Dave, I purchased a stainless steel pump a couple of years ago, the internal rod is about 7mm and the washer adjusting nut is 13mm, do you supply a silicon washer to fit my pump or can you please advise, thanks mate. Regards.Bill.
Thanks for the quick reply Dave. I’ll be in Hastings in a couple of Saturdays time as I’ve just joined the Hastings and st Leonard’s angling club and have to collect my membership card, so if you are around maybe I could get some from you. I’ll be coming down from Essex. 👍.
Hi what I use to do is buy a standard nylon 12mm chopping board the using a hole cutter 25mm to fit 22mm equal Tee then I would get a hacksaw and then slice the cap in half so you end up making 2 out of 1 good luck
Hi daniel i need to sit down and work a price out i promise they wont be expensive give me a few days and il come back with a price how many do you need
Hi another very informative video, I would like to purchase a couple of pumps off of you, I’m not on any social media platforms so not sure how best to contact you.
