Hi Matt the shafts that i make are m8 with a m6 threads and the seals are made for a m6 thread i am toying with making m8 seals as a lot of my friends was using the blue or yellow seals but require lot of liquid to work if your thread is m6 i would send you some to try just pay for postage 👍👍
Pretty much new to pumping worm. If you were freezing worm would you just put the wraps like you’ve done straight into the freezer or do you do something else? I ask because people have different methods, like blanch, dry off in sand, wrap and freeze or dry in sand, wrap in cling film, then freeze. Just looking for the best method to have a decent worm from frozen.
Just watched your video I have a pump not tried it yet you don’t seam to look for the other side of the hole looks like you placed it just near the cast ????
hi alan the worms along our part of the coast do not have blow holes just a cast so it pump and hope lol i watch other videos and they do look for the blow hole would love to have a go doing it my way to see if i can get them good luck with your pump 👍😀
You make that look so easy but i know its not. I cant find any blacks just blow where i am but i know there about have you any tips on the places to look or is it a case of keep looking for them. Cheers
@@seanleicester4018 the fastest way to find out is ask the local tackle shop is blow lug your goto worm or do they import black lug from another location becaus i know my friend sends lots of bait up to the north
@@hastingsangler great vid btw quality is great as is the info. I can't find the bait bucket liner via the link, seems to be dead. Any other places sell them? Greetings from Fleetwood 👍🏿
Watched your video very helpful. Just how much would it cost to buy a copper lug pump from yourself if you could invoice me I would be grateful Dennis.
Hi just been out for first time with a 22mm pump plenty of cast but no blow holes so how do you know which way the worm is laying in the burrow it was a bad day
@@hastingsangler up at Yorkshire hornsea bridlingtondo I just pump the cast I watch all your videos just couldn't get any what do you think I'm doing wrong will go back out tomorrow and try again
@DaveMielczarek is there others pumping near you if no blow holes it might be like it is down here just a case of 3 to4" away from the cast then try and find the depth good luck
Dood morning dave just made a board to make some silicone washers it's a 22 mm pump I've drilled the holes 19 mm what's the best silicone to use please
Great video as always, where can we get a bucket like yours and slso can i buy the rubber washers you use somewhere? I buy the tackle shop ones bjt yours look like they work much better.
Hi paul the bucket i get from www.decathlon.co.uk/p/12l-live-bait-fishing-bucket/_/R-p-197953 the washers i make myself are you local to hastings or would they need posting and how many do you need
Thanks for the bucket link. I will get 1, I am only in Eastbourne so I could pop over to get some I don't know I'd like to try some so maybe 5 I am more than happy to throw you some pennies 😂
@paultaylor5750 hi you are local I'm always over Eastbourne working for gas company you can blame me for all them traffic jams lol sure u can have 5 no problem
Hi mark yes I have used stainless pumps I also make them but I love copper I find the suctions better you also get a nice wear indicator once you found the depth of the worm only downside is the metals softer
Great stuff to see, maintenence.. Hastings is so stony and I'm really struggling to actually get worms... Usually don't do too bad.. Is there a problem at the moment or I guess I'm doing something wrong.. Pressure Good n placement n depth seem ok but getting a worm every 30 goes... Ah ok its the heat n I was too deep.. Yea thinking about it it was when I tried a shallower hit they were coming up... Thanks Mt.. Gonna try Bexhill..cya Ah also maybe I over tightened in frustration.. Hahaha Mt only 45 minutes for so many !!
Hi jamie thats the 1st thing every 1 does when not getting the worms is tighten the pump up then it goes downhill fast in this hot weather they seem to be shallow good luck👍👍👍
Thank you. About time i started collecting my own worms . I shudder to think of how much I've spent the last 45yrs. 🧔 👍
