Thanks for another great review. Have you considered doing an 'AvAngel's top 5' aircraft roundup video or similar? Maybe a few videos looking at your favourite planes in particular categories, bush planes, GA, aerobatics, airliner, etc. Whatever you feel like. You've done so many great videos on many planes now that it would be a good resource for people to find new great planes.
I think I will at some point, certainly enough out for that now!
Yes! The Cessna 310! This is one of the airplanes that sparked my interest in aviation as a child. I saw a brand new one parked at a local airport back in '69, and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen! It just stood out from all the other planes that were parked there. Those twin props and chrome spinners gleaming in the sun, the tip tanks on the wings, and that unique shape of the fuselage.. never had the privilege to fly one, but at least now I have a chance to "virtually" own one! Thanks AvAngel I thoroughly enjoyed this video!!

Thanks Avangel really enjoyed this review. Thought for a minute I’d got the wrong channel ie 310 Pilot, I’ve loved this aircraft every since they produced them in the real world
I flew only two twins in P3D, this 310 Redux and the Realair Simulations Duke (B60 and Turbo versions). So pleased this has come to MSFS. Now someone needs to look at the Duke and bring us an equivalent standard aircraft. Nice review.

Thanks for the review! I ended up buying it and I like it a lot so far. Haven't encountered any bugs or framerate issues so far! $40 seems very fair to me for a high-end GA addon with failures and this level of engine/systems/wear modeling.
In a 310q at least you don’t use flaps for a normal takeoff great video!

There was definitely no floating on your landing ;) Very nice review, confirms my expectation that Milviz have done an excellent job. I think my hangar has space for both the C414AW and the C310. Will be interesting to see which one I'll fly more in the long term ...
Milviz are doing excellent job ever since their T-45. I really hope they'll do T-50 and P.180 from their P3D portfolio.

Definitely getting this, might even rival my beloved Carenado M20 as my go-to plane.
Took something impressive to distract me from the 146 for a bit, but this fit the bill! Great fun, feels alive like you say, and so much depth! Wing 42 certainly raised the bar with engines depth and it's good to see we finally have a GA twin that compares to the level of detail and flight dynamics of the Just flight pipers.

Looks like a fantastic GA twin :) It's got it all. The one thing I'd mention would be that the thud upon landing serems a bit gentle.. and I suppose you'd get more of a rolling sound after landing, but what do I know :) I think the P3D version was like 25 bucks. so I hope this will be the same :)
Love it - exactly my kind of bird. Only slight reservation is support, as I've only ever messaged MILVIZ re. the PC6 twice, and never got a response (and their ticket system is crap) - and the Porter is currently causing CTD on returning to the main menu (known SU9 bug). Can't fault their products though. I guess if you can make good stuff then there's less need for after sales...
The FSX Milviz 310 had the ability to feather a prop with realistic single-engine flight dynamics. I hope this FS20 version retains that feature.
Should have Jimmy as the pilot as I love him saving the 310..Jimmys world. You Tube.. Nice review as usual. Would be nice if the developer put a very small amount of money to SAVE THE 310 with every purchase...

Been waiting on this one since they announced in 2020. Looks good! My only critique is a lack of any vibration or rumble portrayed in the aircraft on the ground. Very minor.
I love the wear and tear stuff. State saving stuff is great. This does look like a fun little plane, and that tail art is damn cute, lol

Oh the de Havilland Beaver is your fav? I know a lot of people were iffy on the sim but in Flight Unlimited 2 I used the hell out of the Beaver, it was so much fun to fly.
I do have that version yes :) And it is :D I remember flying in that sim around the bay!
Full radio navigation, failures ánd state saving! This may be a competitor to my JustFlight Arrows!
Hope Milviz create the Bell 407 and MD530 when helos are readily available on MSFS.

don't forget to reset your trims from your previous flights, I almost learned that the hard way lol
MilViz had a hidden product page for the past few months, I found it by guessing the URL (I took the URL from another product page and replaced the product name). The page is gone now, it vanished a few days ago, but the price on that page was US$59.95 - of course this means nothing, the page was never public. Anyway, that would be a good chunk of money, but it wouldn't keep me from picking this up on day one (unless it came with the kind of DRM that MilViz had to remove from the PC-6 after an outcry by the community).
Buying from in-sim Marketplace resolve all DRM related concerns.
@@090giver090 I don't agree. It just replaces one DRM solution with another one (albeit one I can tolerate more easily). One of the reasons why I never buy from the in-game Marketplace is that I cannot know which parts of the product are encrypted, and the encryption can make it nigh impossible to mod aircraft - and there's at least one mod that I want for every prop plane: VR-friendly prop animations.
Also, I want MilViz to get all of my money. And, in case of trouble, I want to be their customer so there's no doubt about who's gonna provide product support.
On the other hand, I *do* want as many other people as possible to buy stuff from the Marketplace so Microsoft keeps investing in the platform.
Has anyone noticed a problem with the landing and taxi lights on the Carenado 170B? I just bought the plane and wanted to do a night time flight with it, but when I go to turn on the lights all they do is glow but not actually illuminate the area. I was also having a problem with the vor system, I was trying to tune into 3 different vor stations in the Pittsburgh PA area but I never picked up the signal, I think that problem might with the simulator though since I tried the same thing in the cessna 152 and it also didn't work, I will go back and test them again.
I think an Asobo patch should address that nose drop tendency in aircraft in the sim. Some think it's a controller or trim issue but I think not. The sky should be a living thing in the sim with air current, air pockets and air resistance playing a role in the behaviour of aircraft while in the air. Instead, in sim after sim the impression is given that the sky is empty space and so if a pilot took his hand off the yoke for instance an aircraft would suddenly plunge out of the sky. No, they don't, they may gradually lose altitude but generally the air around the airframe will produce a response miles different from what Asobo is offering so far.
Its not all aircraft, this is a tendency of the 310 in this case, the nose drop is on power off, it pitches down quite significantly, trim is more than fine.

Thanks for the preview! Love the features, but often the cockpit is a make or break situation for an aircraft ... and I don't like the way this looks. This is partly due to the design of the original aircraft but also the way it's modelled in the sim. This one doesn't seem to agree with me. But I can't quite put the finger on it why ... it looks kinda toyish? :(
I know what you mean. Looks kind of flat . But I suspect more direct sunlight might have improved it’s realism. I suspect it is a balancing act between of trying to please all levels of simmers. At least Milviz keep working on their planes, so keep an eye out on the updates.
With that weathering option it would be nice if the interior also would be completely worn and torn at max slider.
Already looks like a better product than the 414A!
414A was released as an early access. It slowly becomes better with every patch.
Still not fully ready IMO.
How fluid are lateral dynamics? ie. if you do a wing wave are the actions abrupt or is it a dynamically fluid reaction?
It's pretty fluid, it's not sharp at all, it has a weight and momentum to it.

Bought PC version and can't get enough speed to get airborne, can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Mixture full, prop fully forward, main tank selected with half fuel loaded. Tops out at around 60-65 flat out. Tried with first notch of flaps and no flaps but no joy. Any ideas folks?
Hmm might be the airfield altitude was trying from SKRG. Seems to get airborne a little better near sea level but feels very under powered.

How does it compare to the big brother Flysimware Cessna 414?
Different type of GA twin, (non pressurised) more systems depth and function, slower (yeah, different era) but I'd say more fun, feels roomier too even though it's smaller. the 414 is good for GOING somewhere... This is good for going anywhere.
