I downloaded this as soon as it became available and it's every bit as good as I hoped. Milviz were saying that the twitchy handling on approach and flare is intended. It's certainly an interesting a/c to land. I think this might be the first MSFS twin with critical engine behaviour properly modeled too. Respect to the devs for selling it at a fair price given the value on offer.
Hi Roland, Yeah, I heard the same thing from MILVIZ and others thereafter. That's great if they got it spot on - guess I can't blame the aircraft for my dodgy landings now then : P The 310 is a complete triumph and worth every one of those very reasonable pennies! I'm glad you're enjoying it. Happy flying! : )
Thank you for your thorough review of the 310R. I’ve been waiting for this one. My first flight ever IRL was back in the 1970s in a 310J, a corporate aircraft. I would go on to spend many hours as a passenger in the 310J. As a business aircraft, we flew all year round, sometimes in difficult weather. Fortunate to have had an excellent pilot flying a great airplane. My plan now is to recreate some of those IRL flights in the sim.
My pleasure Tubeztoonz! Sounds like some great memories; I'm sure you will have fun recreating some of those flights in this beauty. Thanks for sharing and happy flying! : )
another good review and very fair. Clearly a great plane with exciting new features. Too many good planes and my bank account is not overly happy with me....Maddog, Just Flight, PMDG coming soon and now this sneaks in to a ridiculously good week or two for MSFS releases....I remember the days when this was all a dream.
Yes I wholeheartedly agree. The bank account certainly is taking a hit just now. The BAe 146, PMDG very soon, all manner of scenery and add ons, now this lovely Cessna. We have never had it so good in MSFS.
Freaking Monday for PDMG!!! After the weekend! What? Hearing all the different 737 variants, not sure which to get and no way in hell getting them all.
@@Rage-td9wv The Milviz Cessna C310 is not available yet on U.S. sim market as of Sunday May 8 2020. The release date was "supposed" to be Wednesday May 4 2022. If this is going to be like the "justflight" arrow, I won't purchase this plane at all. The JF arrow didn't show up on the U.S. sim market until months later after release. Same for other planes such as the PDMG DC-6. I only get two weekends off work per month to enjoy Flight Simulator. I was looking forward to getting the 310.
I love this plane, the third one I've bought for MSFS. I'm really selective about what I buy as addon aircraft. A2A and DCS has spoilt me for systems and detail and this fits the bill perfectly. Goes into my hanger next to the PMDG DC-6 and the JF Hawk.
Haha, well clearly you're a man of taste! Those are some of my favorite addons in the sim undoubtedly. I'd still love to see A2A make it into the sim (nobody does making an addon feel "alive" better than them), but the 310 isn't too far off and certainly ticks most of my boxes. Happy flying! All the best : )
Good review thank you. The failures coding is IMO the best feature of this release. Will be very interesting to see how this goes over time, but looks like even with "rare" failures enabled no more simply engaging autopilot and going to the other side of the house for dinner. Got to bring a TV tray to the cockpit! Hoping that adding this level of realism becomes a standard in future AC releases.
My pleasure Gary! Completely agree: The 310 would be a very nice addition without the failure modelling, but the system MILVIZ has implemented, really elevates the product above any other GA aircraft currently available for the sim. It’s more or less what a lot of people have been crying out for in MSFS and totally enhances the simming experience. I shall be sure to inform my wife that I will no longer be joining her for dinner - I’m sure that will go down a treat! XD Cheers and all the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations For me, this plane would get me flying more in MSFS, but (a) there are no decent add ons for MSFS to help me evaluate my landing quality (how hard was my landing) and (b) there is no replay feature in MSFS yet. So for GA simming, where I care about how well I did, the data I get in XPlane 11 is just killing MSFS's fun for me. But boy is MSFS lovely, and wow, I want this milviz plane.
Had to update. Got it on the Milviz site today and have to admit that after reading the manual, and a Cessna manual PDF I found on the net, I was actually NERVOUS going up first time with all those realism settings engaged. I only scanned the emergency procedures for loss of engine on TO, etc, woefully unprepared as my RW experience goes no farther that a 1958 J35 Bonanza. Maybe Milviz doesn't have it exactly right or at least not yet, but the fact that something could go wrong at any time, however low the probability, fundamentally changes flight sim. It's not a game anymore, it's a simulator. Thank you Milviz.
Likewise Vinícius! These sorts of aircraft change the whole simming experience. I’m hoping we’ll see the likes of REP from X-Plane in MSFS at some point : ) All the best!
Thank you so much for giving us some opportunities to actually hear the plane instead of just saying listen to that isn't it great while keeping it muted like virtually every other fs youtuber :)
My pleasure sir! I can’t say I get it right 100% of the time (I almost always seem to forget cockpit night lighting haha), but I try and tick all the boxes where I can ; ) besides, if any addon deserves to be heard, this is certainly one of them! : ) Thanks you and all the best!
During flair out, it seems like that there aren't any ground effects. The plane just drops to the tarmac. That does not seem "normal". Other than that, it's a great addition to MSFS2020.
If you don't get the flare and power right that's what happens in the real aircraft. I did my multi- engine and instrument ratings on the 310, lovely plane to hand fly.
Thanks very much for the info Drago! That seems to be the opinion of the other real-world 310 pilots I have subsequently spoken to as well. It's great that MILVIZ managed to model that accurately then : ) Cheers and all the best!
Hi ACC, I would have most certainly agreed with you initially and said the same thing myself during the review; but it seems according to Drago and other real-world 310 pilots, that behaviour is actually true to life of the real-world aircraft : ) Cheers and all the best!
It’s true. MILVIZ always do a very nice job of creating aircraft that have some character / feeling to them and the flight model is obviously a big part of that. This one is every bit as good as the Corsair, but a little bit easier to fly XD Cheers! : )
Last night I bought the 310 immediately after Milviz's live stream and took her up for a short flight, certainly not disappointed! Tonight I was too tired to fly myself, so I really enjoyed watching your review flight. Hopefully New Zealand will receive one of the next world updates, although it already looked gorgeous here.
Yeah, the 310 is awesome isn’t it Volker. Haha, glad I could be of help! If you were feeling a bit sleepy, had gone for a cruise and then suffered an engine failure, that might have woken you up a little : P I’m certainly hoping that NZ gets the World Update treatment as well at some point; it’s such a beautiful part of the world. Cheers and happy flying! : )
I was looking forward to your opinion on this one and pleased to see a great in depth review really does the aircraft justice. In regards to the perceived twitchness, the real 310 I flew certainly was rather heavy and trim sensitive in pitch, the loading of the aircraft really effects this. I recommend balancing the CoG with nose baggage. I’d also carry a few more knots on approach, only slowing below blue line just prior to crossing the threshold, and throwing in a few winds of back trim prior to the flare. I’m glad you have enjoyed it as much as I have been though, and bonus points for picking NZ for the test flight location! If you like this scenery in its current state, keep your eyes peeled for NZA Simulations upcoming Mount Cook & Glentanner pack!
Thanks very much zkdos, although I see I'm not the only one making videos with the C310 these days ; ) I enjoyed your vid as well (you're way more of a natural than I am!) and was going to leave a comment, but you had comments turned off - you're missing out on all of the wonderful things people come to say on the internet! : P Thanks very much for the feedback re the aircrafts handling, it's great to hear that MILVIZ even managed to get that behaviour correct then. I did intend to carry a bit more speed on the approach, but by dodgy flying got the better of me haha; it certainly takes a bit of getting used to the old 310. I shall keep an eye out for the NZA scenery then. I'm really hoping the whole country will get the World Update treatment at some point (I was somewhat surprised it didn't alongside Oz, but then again I suppose Oz is bloody big already haha). Cheers again! All the best : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations cheers mate, compliments much appreciated. I didn't realise how much effort went into shooting what I considered was a fairly basic video- took me a fair few hours to cobble together! Yep the 310 is a quirky machine, it doesn't feel natural to be hiffing so much throttle forward whilst on approach, you almost have to override your natural tendencies to achieve the desired result it seems. NZ getting a world update would also make me a very happy chappy. We're fortunate to have possibly the highest amount of addon airports per capita in MSFS for such a small nation. Lots more projects in the works from various devs too that will hopefully become widely received nice surprises in the not too distant future!
Your reviews are always open and honest and a great opportunity to learn something new. This new Milviz release looks really good for a predominantly GA flier like me. She has a decent turn of speed for getting where you want to go too. For such a feature rich, and high fidelity aeroplane, the release price of US$39.99 is very reasonable. On a side note, when Maori first discovered New Zealand several hundred years ago, they named it Aotearoa which translates to "Land of the Long White Cloud". It is rare to see our skies cloud free lol. All the best. 😁
Thank you as always Squirel! The 310 is about as good as it gets for GA flying in all honesty. Not only in MSFS, but it’s one of the better twins we’ve seen in any sim I think. As you say, speedy, capable and packed with features; not to mention it can all go horribly wrong - which is a real “game changer” for MSFS hehe. Haha, I had heard of the “Long White Cloud” thing before. It says a lot that, that of all the stunning features NZ has to offer, that was the thing that most stuck out to them XD Cheers and blue skies haha! : )
Looks like a great addition to the MSFS hangar! I have been spoilt by A2A and am a bit of a FSX veteran, so it's refreshing to see an add-on GA aircraft like this up to the level (more or less) of A2A's best for MSFS. This will likely be parked alongside my PMDG DC-6. 😎 Cheers for the great review
Hi HMW, I’m a big A2A fan myself and it was actually some of your videos that were responsible for getting me into their products back in the day haha (so thanks very much for that!). Great to see you here on the channel. The C310 isn’t *quite* up to A2A standards in terms of feeling like a living, breathing machine, but it isn’t far off and it has a couple of its own strengths also. It’s an excellent product from MILVIZ, right up there with the likes of the DC6. I do hope you enjoy it! Cheers and all the best : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Haha, well now I'm blushing! Glad to hear you enjoyed my FSX A2A content! 😎 Happy to be here mate, and I'm enjoying it very much. Appreciate all your efforts in bringing us these reviews in a timely and detailed manner. I agree it's hard for anyone else to really 'de-throne' A2A and their splendid work over the years, but some of these recent add-ons for MSFS are showing promise! Not only this C310, but also the Boeing 247D, etc. I look forward to covering some of these aircraft in the hopefully not-to-distant future as well. They really are a welcome distraction whilst we wait for A2A to bring their masterworks to MSFS. Fingers crossed🤞 Cheers!
After seeing the quality of this I'm really glad that it's Milviz that's making the DHC-2 Beaver. Can't wait for the finished product as it's my favorite plane.
Hi Rawdmon, Yeah, MILVIZ have been doing an excellent job in MSFS thus far. I gather they have said that their Beaver won't have the same level of failure modelling as the 310 unfortunately, but I think it will be on a par with their Porter etc, which is still a cracking product! Cheers and all the best : )
Cracking airplane, I'll definitely be buying this when it comes out. And, as always, a superb review. I love that you take your time and fly an interesting route - that scenery (particularly on downwind) was stunning. Great stuff, thank you.
It really does Pendragon. The sim looks decidedly average with clear skies and midday lighting, but throw in some clouds and offset the time a bit - it really comes alive! ; )
It certainly is Adam! The 310 has headed right to the top of my GA pile for the time being. Glad you enjoyed the review and indeed the flight; trying to find somewhere nice to showcase the aircraft is half the fun for me haha ; ) Cheers as always!
Thanks very much once again Peter! Indeed I was / have been (only just catching up on comments now) haha. Taking a little bit of downtime post PMDG, but it sounds like it won't be too long now before we'll be seeing the Fenix A320! Definitely looking forward to seeing what the Fenix team manage to achieve and at only £50, they could certainly be on to a potential winner! Cheers and all the best : )
Thanks very much Gw. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and I’m pleased to hear you’re enjoying the 310 (it is indeed superb)! Happy flying and all the best : )
Thank you ever so much Abi, both for your kind words and your support over many months! I’m really glad you continue to enjoy the content; not long now and the channel will be 2 years old! : O Cheers and all the best! : )
This is my first big purchase on msfs. Thanks to you, I am more than happy with my choice and am digging into it more than ever. The ownership thing alone makes me feel connected to this sweet beautiful airplane. Thank you for the Video! You've made this game that much better for me! I wish you a most happy Christmas! Greetings from Germany!
Brilliant to hear that you're enjoying the C310 Alfder and that the review was of help in you making your purchasing decision! The 310 is indeed an excellent addon, with lots of really nice features. My pleasure on the video(s) - I'm very happy that you're enjoying the content : ) I hope you had a great Christmas / New Years. Happy flying in 2023!
Looks great, flies great, sounds great, functions great! This is an immediate buy for me! My only complaint is that they should have made a straight tail 310 for extra coolness. Great review!
Haha, exactly James; tail aesthetics aside, this one really doesn’t have too many chinks in its armour - an excellent offering from MILVIZ overall! Thanks and all the best : )
Ah right, I didn’t realise the 310 was already working in X-Plane 12! I can indeed imagine that it flies like a dream, given X-Plane’s flight dynamics : ) Happy flying and all the best!
I just came off the Milviz twitch steram. They said that according to their 310 pilots it is supposed to be twitchy on the approach, "if you don't know what you are doing this is a dangerous plane to fly".
Hi Krister, Thanks very much for the info! Obviously a lot of my comments in these videos tend to be educated guesses, so it’s nice to have the handling confirmed by guys that have actually flown the aircraft, It’s probably quite dangerous for me to be anywhere near a C310 then haha XD Cheers and all the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations The devs (& 310 pilots) have also said to carry more speed on landing, otherwise you will drop onto the runway like you did. Great review BTW.
This was finally released for the Xbox and it runs so well, it is nice to finally have one of the most classic twins of all time, which still looks sleek and modern, even in 2023, somewhat like the Cessna Cardinal or Rockwell Commander. I'm flying it on a favored hop, between Oklahoma City to Phoenix, a fun route because one sees America's flat 'bread basket' transition into the massive Sonoran desert with many mountain peaks between 7K-12K until it transitions into the lower Colorado River watershed past Phoenix. My favorite route on the other side of the Atlantic will be Liverpool-Paris via Calais, it is fun that in Europe GA flight can easily over fly many countries just in the span of couple of hundred miles, whereas in the US you can end up more than eight hundred miles from an international border which is why we carved our country up into states, to keep our citizens and airline passengers from getting bored, LOL. Thank you for the fine in depth review!
Indeed John, great to see that (after Sim Update 12) finally the quality addons can really start making their way over to the console and the C310 is one of the best! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the addon and it sounds like you have some great routes lined up for it. I very much enjoy my virtual flights in the states, given how much variety in geography there is and Europe is pretty special (in the real world), in that you can have so many different experiences, all in such close proximity. My pleasure on the review, I’m glad you found it useful! Happy flying and all the best : )
If you're predominantly a tubeliner pilot, I would say that's quite possible CA. Due to my tardy reply, I guess you'll know by now haha XD All the best! : )
I guess they updated the prescribed start procedure after this review? It specifically mentioned to push starter ASAP after switching the primer, and leaving the aux pump in an off position. They go on low after the engine starts and off again after the takeoff. Fantastic review as always!
Hello Igor, I think I was using a real-world checklist for the recording, but it may be that I was using the checklist provided by MILVIZ. I do also occasionally alter the procedures, if it makes life easier during the video (for example, having the engines start more readily). I don’t really recall now to be honest. . . I’m really glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks very much for watching and all the best : )
Lovely video. I have spent a few nights camping at Glentanner and it's an even more spectacular place in real life. All the biz-jets at the airport is fairly amusing. From what I have seen it's mainly a heliport and light aircraft airfield.
In my HDPO (Humble Desk Pilot Opinion) this is a GREAT buy. $39.99US, if you are looking for a GA aircraft, it's not cheap but with the options it comes with you could set this in reality mode and experience many real world failures that will make you a better pilot. I did watch the Milviz TH-cam video and I AM SOLD. Off to purchase it and "hopefully" get in installed and up in the air. Thanks again for a GREAT review and the opinions! !! !!!
Haha! As a lifelong simmer, am I still able to hold a HDPO rating as well Mark? XD $40 (I believe MILVIZ are also offering a $5 discount to previous customers) is an absolute steal on this one! It might be a GA twin, but it has arguably has the most comprehensive feature set of any aircraft in the sim and the failure modelling alone is a complete “game changer”! A brilliant offering. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers and happy flying! : )
Good reviews. As an old ex multi engine pilot PA23 the feathering checks are always done with the throttle at idle. If you shut a engine down just after take off with gear and maybe flaps down and below VMC control should be lost a good test for realism.
Thanks very much Jeffrey! Yeah, the checklist referred to it as a feathering check, but I don't think that was quite accurate (given that it wanted it done at high RPM); all I did was pull back the prop levers anyway, I didn't go into the fully-feathered position - I may have misread something though. . . I'm fairly sure the aircraft probably would have behaved as you describe on takeoff under those conditions. As you may have seen towards the end of the video, the C310's behaviour was quite aggressive once we lost the engine. Thanks for the info and all the best! : )
Thankyou for a wonderful review.MSFS 2020 has been good tool in getting me back into the passion I had for flying that I had in my 20’s , so in the 140 hours I’ve accumulated on MSFS it’s mostly been on c172 ,some recently on the Grand Caravan.Your review on the 310 has wetted my interest in purchasing this gem of a plane and flying a twin for the first time-will of course have to change my bravo throttle quadrant to suit a GA twin.Again Thankyou for a wonderful review .Keep up the great work.Regards from Feilding New Zealand
Hello David, Thank you very much for your kind words, my absolute pleasure on the video! I'm glad that the sim has you reliving some good memories. The 310 is indeed an absolute gem, easily one of the best addons available within MSFS. If you have picked the aircraft up, I do hope that you're enjoying it! Happy flying and all the best : )
I bought this yesterday, and without test flying it, jumped in for a journey across the US. I’ve done 2) 2.5 hour legs. Landings are interesting, I agree it seems to want to fall out of the sky and land very flat
Well, I’m glad you got straight into flying / enjoying the aircraft, Kevin! A trans-continental US flight, has long been on my list of things to do (I have done it actually, but not as a specific undertaking). Yes, I was quite surprised by the landing behaviour and initially assumed it was a weaker area of the flight model, but a couple of real-world 310 drivers seemed to confirm that the behaviour was actually true to life. Apparently, keeping a bit of power on for the landing, is a good idea in the C310. Happy flying and all the best! : )
This gets me even more excited about their ATR. The C310 looks great, sounds great and with all the extra features it´s the perfect GA plane. Thanks for the review and if I may suggest something, I think it would be great if you included a walkaround so we could see the quality of the textures and 3d mapping outside.
Milviz and A2A are two developers from which you know you will get your money's worth. Do note though Milviz statement that not all their airplanes will be as detailed as the 310. I'm perfectly fine with that as long as they are transparent with it. The level of detail will also reflected in the price.
@@davidtsw In their twitch stream www.twitch.tv/milvizofficial they say around the 09:10 mark that "it will be study level". At the same time, around the 17:20 mark he also states the ATR (and the Beaver) will "not have all the bells and whistles" that the 310 has. That may refer to a lot of things, like texturing, and I'm confident the ATR will be an instant buy too.
Very true Krister. I’d imagine the ATR and the Beaver will be more in-line with their Corsair / Porter then; ie still very good, just without the failure modelling etc. I’m excited for both - particularly for the ATR. Thanks for the info! : )
A much later variant, but Sky and Penny would be proud. What’s another $50 at this point? The Cessna 310 is SO beautiful…my favorite All Time manner of conveyance. I gotta have it! Great job as always and thanks for the ride!
Hi Coldisle, I'm not familiar with their story actually, but I went away and googled a little - it was a 310B in their case I see. Haha, that's the spirit - it's *only* another $50! XD Still, as they say, "you can't take it with you". . . and the MILVIZ 310 is a darn good addon to be fair; money well spent - especially if it's your favorite real-world aircraft. Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the video! All the best : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations I’m glad to have introduced you to Sky King! Like many US kids of my vintage, the sound of Songbirds beautiful engines and the look of that very classic early 310 stuck with me forever. Sky King originally flew the Cessna Bamboo Bomber and then upgraded to that iconic 310. All the best!
Ah well lucky you ZKCG! Undoubtedly an absolutely stunning part of the world - must be quite amazing to actually live there, let alone fly there : ) All the best!
My pleasure JHerc! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the content / finding it useful - that’s always great to hear of course : ) Thanks very much for the kinds words and all the best to you!
Another really good GA aircraft. Second to the PA28 from Justflight. Thanks for the good review and enjoyable sights. Will probably wait to see in the Marketplace before purchasing (easier for updates)
Hi Cyril, Oooo, I think this one tops the PA28 for me! I just love the failure modelling and full persistent state etc. To each their own though of course ; ) My pleasure on the review, glad you enjoyed it! All the best : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations yes agreed. I just bought it and I can confirm. Almost feels like the real one. Study level. Been doing a few flights in Europe and super happy about it, I noticed also that you really need to watch your speed, pitch and throttle on final, it tends to fall like a stone without power, even if you cut above the threshold...
Many thanks for your good work on this channel. Lovely attention to detail. The scenery is gorgeous in this part of New Zealand. Yes the ORBX mesh will enhance the vanilla MSFS scenery. Nice short flight, but very good atmosphere giving us all a good and professional experience regarding the flying and cockpit use. MILVIZ have done an excellent job. A highly recommended product. Keep up the good work. Love your channel and reviews.
Thank you very much once again sir - my pleasure as always (especially with an aircraft such as this)! NZ is a truly stunning area. I’m hoping it’ll get some “World Update” treatment at some point, that would be great. Yes, having to try and keep the flights “short and sweet” at the moment, real life has been rather busy and the MSFS release schedule has been hectic! XD As you say, MILVIZ have done a great job with this one - the 310 goes a long way to massively enhancing the MSFS experience (at least for GA flyers). Thanks very much for the kind words! All the best : )
It certainly is Mav. A worthy addition to the virtual hangar without a doubt - it’ll cost you an arm and a leg in virtual maintenance mind you! XD Cheers and all the best! : )
Thank you once again for a fantastic review. This may well be picked up as a plane to pull me out of the JF Arrows with their pitch jitter issues i have atm. Really impressed with all those custom features and the best part is that tiny chance of something breaking on the plane, so system checks aren't just for "roleplay/immersion" but are actually needed. That is something i really wish more devs would add. However, first one of the three tubeliners will likely be purchased this weekend and the 310 very likely after that, unless.... the Trislander also is looking so mighty fine, and i have a feeling you are looking forward to try JOEY too :P
Thank you sir! Yeah, we ended up with a pretty busy period in terms of addon releases and with the Fenix A320 just around the corner as well now XD The C310 is well worthy of your consideration (if you don't already have it by now); the best GA aircraft currently available for the sim (in my opinion). The failure system really elevates the whole simming experience undoubtedly. Haha, well I have to say, the Trislander just doesn't do it for me. . . Usually I enjoy a good quirky aircraft, but I just can't get over the looks of the thing ha. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what Black Box bring, in terms of upgrades to the Islander though! All the best : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Hehe i gues the 320 will be up your alley i gues, that is the one you fly/flew irl? I haven't bought the C310 yet. I have been finishing up my Australia roundtrip last night and just landed in PNG, where i may play around. A bit torn between the C310 and Trislander, but yeah, it's looks are a bit offputting haha. I may end up just waiting for the Islander to get the update. The One thing that does favor the Trislander for me is the utility aspect. I love the lorry of the skies idea. Though i am sure i would love the C310 too, as it reminds me a lot of the Arrow 3. We'll see, i still need to fly the 146 a bit more too. Just did a 2hr flight (way too long for my taste) to get from Aus to PNG. Smashig plane as well though.
My first few landings were embarrassingly hard :D I really struggled with landing with the 310 because I was approaching too slow. Now I like to keep speed at 100kn until 10ft above runway before going idle. As you mentioned she becomes really heavy at landing.
Haha no worries, it can happen to the best of us Zsolt! ; ) The 310 is indeed a tricky aircraft to land; according to the guys that have flown it in the real world though, it seems like that's pretty true to life. The aircraft certainly takes some getting used to and for sure, carrying more speed and keeping some power on helps. Happy landings! : )
Another banger ITB! bit late to this party, but following this video, I bought it almost immediatley it was released. zero regrets as it's a peach, even a casual scrublord simmer such as myself can tell it's quality and an absolute joy to fly. Landings are always exciting ... but practice makes perfect and all that. Keep up the great work.
Haha! Well, better late than never as they say : P Really glad you're enjoying the 310 sir; it is indeed a complete peach and one of the best GA addons I have ever had the pleasure of flying. Haha, "casual scrublord" or otherwise, the 310 treats all men as equal ; ) Thanks very much as always! All the best : )
Thanks for the high standard review, this time for the 310R! Just bought it and waiting for download :-) Next stop perhaps Mad Dog?--after a recent buy of PMDG 737-7--so have lots of fun lined up now...
Thanks very much Keyz, my pleasure! The Maddog is a cracking addon - great fun, so long as you can live with the price (personally I feel it is overpriced). If you don't mind your jets being a bit more modern, I highly recommend taking a look at the Fenix A320 as well! Cheers and happy flying : )
I was sold at 'tour de force of GA aircraft' :-). Great, detailed and objective review as always. Thanks for the hard work ITBS, even more so considering how busy you are at present. Planes, planes everywhere at the moment - releasing almost on a daily baisis lol :-)
Haha, well I'm sure MILVIZ will be happy to hear that James (not that they got any special treatment of course)! : P The 310 is a cracker, so I hope you've been enjoying it - at least for the couple of days before the 737 came along XD Thanks very much! It certainly got pretty hectic (though I enjoyed every second of it) and I'm taking a little bit of downtime now, but it sounds like Fenix are going to get the ball rolling again pretty soon haha. Cheers and all the best : )
I've pretty much sworn off MSFS, and I no longer recommend people buy it. Lost all of my flight hours (over 450) due to a glitch with Microsoft's cloud storage, refuses to load on two of my computers, random and extremely frequent crashes to desktop with zero explanation or fixes... The list goes on and on. It's actually quite terrible software at this point, with updates rarely doing anything but making it worse. :( But then you review this gem haha! Must. Have. This. Cessna 310R! I love the attention to detail MILVIZ put in to this one! Thanks for keeping the dream alive, even when the base product is doing everything it can to get me to give up! Already have the money invested in the base game (with no chance of a refund), might as well try out some of the better third party offerings!
Hi Brett, Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with the sim. It is both amazing and disappointing just how different everyone's MSFS experiences continue to be (Asobo absolutely should have gotten a handle on the core stability of the sim by now). That being said, if you can keep the sim running long enough to enjoy the C310, I'm sure you'll have some great fun with the aircraft - it's definitely an addon that elevates the whole MSFS experience. Best of luck and fingers crossed that Asobo sort things out for you sooner rather than later (I realise it has been nearly two years at this point though. . .). Cheers and all the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Wiped and re-installed MSFS (yet again). Only add-on now is the MILVIZ 310R. So of course after my previous rant, I now have nearly 20 hours flying it with no crashes, well... no sim crashes that is haha. I think this is the best aftermarket aircraft I have purchased, though is a bit finicky on final. For those who already own MSFS I definitely recommend this bird, it is a lot of fun! Thanks again for your review sir, this one is truly a gem and worth the purchase!
It's funny that I learned serious simming with the a32nx then pmdg 737. Got a handle on vatsim, jepp sid's and star's, high altitude IFR. But now learning GA and old school navigation sounds pretty appealing, especially with navigraph VFR coming soon! Guess my sim journey is the opposite of the real life progression, from airliners to cessnas!
Haha, I did somewhat the same myself RedHawk: I grew up enjoying all sorts of aircraft in various sims, but when I started to take simming more "seriously", it was the "study level" jets that really got my attention (perhaps in part because VFR was just a bit pointless in older sims). I spent many years almost exclusively flying tubeliners, only to really come back to GA simming in the last couple of years. It might all be a bit backwards, but at the end of the day, doing what you enjoy is the most important thing in the hobby! ; ) Happy flying and all the best : )
No they aren't. When A2A finally releases their Comanche it will blow the doors off this thing. A2A is the undoubted leader in both GA and warbird simulation. This goes for FSX as well as P3D. Milviz's system modeling doesn't even come close to their work, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, then you are not flying the best, pure and simple.
@@WhiteHawk77 The only thing that I have is from Scott over at the A2A forums where he says, that he flew the A2A Comanche in MSFS for the first time, and that it will be the first release for the sim. It was going to be Aerostar but it suffered a gear up landing and they are parting it out and selling it off but, that could change at any time but, for now, that is the word from Scott over at A2A that the Comanche will be first but he gave no time frame.
Other than a "low oil pressure" indication on the G1000 (false indication), and precautionary landing. I've been fortunate to never have had a real world emergency. I'm looking forward to a few in the sim now, after I start flying this in my Varjo Aero :-) Thanks for the great review!
Haha, well lets hope things stay that way Redtail! Much better to deal with your emergencies in the sim ; ) What was the precautionary landing for (if you don't mind my being nosy)? I'll bet the MILVIZ 310 in VR will be a spectacular experience - especially with the Varjo! All the best and happy flying! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations I was fairly new to the G1000 at the time. However, during cruise, I noticed that the oil pressure indicator was fluctuating between the lower range and dipping into the red. Oil temperature was fine and engine was running normally. I was directly over a non-towered airport and decided to land. Had it checked by a mechanic and it turned out to be a failing sensor. And yes, the 310 is magnificent in the Aero! I'm having a blast.
Cant wait to see a 310B in sim one day so we can fly Jimmy's 310, But that aside the MILVIZ 310R is one of the best they made so far. And I hope the dirt feature will be found in the beaver and otter because bush planes are never clean.
Haha, well I'm sure the livery has already been done ST, even if it's not quite the right airframe. Agreed, one of MILVIZ's best to date and they've been putting out some fairly stellar products for MSFS thus far. The dirt feature is nice and should absolutely be included on their upcoming bush planes (although I know MILVIZ has said that we shouldn't expect all of their output to have the same level of fidelity as the 310). Cheers and all the best! : )
Oh man, that is a cracker of a plane. hats off to Milviz, shame about the reg number glitch though, my wallet is getting nervous!! Thanks to you for another great review!
Thanks very much Russell, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The 310 is an absolutely stellar effort from MILVIZ and goes straight to the top of the GA pile for me. The reg issue is a shame, as I do like to run my own custom registration, but hopefully some 3rd party liveries will take care of that. I'm sure the wallet didn't enjoy the hit, but I do hope you're enjoying the 310! ; ) All the best : )
Hi La Mar, Obviously, the level of complexity between the two aircraft is quite different, but I would say the level of fidelity is very much on a par between the two products (with the 310 arguably having more functionality that the 737 even). Without a doubt the 310 is an excellent "study level" addon - one worth keeping an eye on for the future perhaps ; ) I hope that clarifies things a little. All the best! : )
It is a really nice little addition Tyler, costly I know though. There are some cheaper / freeware alternatives out there mind you, should you wish to give it a try : ) All the best!
Cheers Ronnie! Haha, well the C310 is certainly worth of consideration - but there is indeed a lot to choose from at the moment XD I know you’re a big PMDG fan, so I assume that is a given, but the 310 is undoubtedly the best GA aircraft for the sim all things considered ; ) All the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Computer 💻 finally back from service, broken water pump. Getting late and it’s dark, set up tomorrow. In a way should wait until all 737 models have been released, then decide. I also want MD-11 but that will be a long wait. Might go BAE146 first
Hi! I really like how you control your cameras, especially while doing cockpit checklists. Could you do a video to show how you set this up? Or at least leave some instructions?
Hi Patchington, Cheers, I'm glad you think it gives a decent effect. I'm using a head-tracking device called TrackIR. If you own one, I'd be happy to send you my profile over? Just send me an email to intotheblueinbox@gmail.com if you want it. Cheers and all the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations I'm very curious about this device. Is it a stand-alone gadget or do you need another couple hundred in accessories to make it chooch? I'm learning how to use the mouse to glance around the cockpit, but looking around would be keen.
I uninstalled MSFS because without a 3090 I just, ugh I just can't. When I get the top end graphics one day I'll put it back and I'm getting this 310 because this is the one I've been waiting for. Milviz products are so good I mean, mastering the Corsair was so much fun.
Haha, fair enough Bat Soup. I actually find MSFS runs alright on somewhat modest hardware, but I know we all have different preferences and expectations etc. The MILVIZ 310 is certainly worth picking up when the time comes, it is currently one of the best addons available for the sim without a doubt. All the best! : )
They certainly do Blitz! MILVIZ have been putting out some quality offerings for MSFS and this one is arguably their best yet - almost certainly the best GA aircraft now available for the sim! All the best : )
Haha! Now now Willem. . . : P but yeah, MILVIZ definitely knocked the ball out of the park with this one! My pleasure on the review! Thanks very much for watching and all the best : )
Thanks very much Andy, really glad you're enjoying the content! I do recall MILVIZ making a Baron; unfortunately I didn't know any better at the time and went with the Carenado Baron instead XD I'll bet the MILVIZ version was great though, I'd certainly be keen to try it in MSFS. Cheers and all the best! : )
Thank you very much sir! This one is going to cost you a fortune in virtual maintenance - but lucky you can pay for it with the virtual credit card! XD All the best : )
Hi Rikus, Yeah, the C414 is a great addon! Every bit as good as the C310 in many respects; where I feel the 310 has the edge though, is in the systems / failure modelling. The C414 is one of my favourites though and as an aeroplane, I actually prefer it to the C310. All the best! : )
Look a super plane and ideally I think top of my list for GA and Twin atm, ideally I like a great GA and Jet (prob Fenix 320/737 PMDG) are high on the wish list. I really like those TDS GTN 750 xi look great I find manual input with all the scroll wheels only on the G1000's (inner/outer wheel's) quite a pain lol. Another fantastic showcase and job - top man and thanks, looking forward to more in this plane whenever possible.
Hi LG, The 310 is without a doubt the best GA option for the sim currently; it ticks all of the boxes and simply offers so many more features than the competition. Well worth picking up if you're looking for a twin and you can justify the cost (at least it's quite competitively priced). Can't go wrong with either the 737 or the A320 really, though I think it's clear where my preference lies on that one ; ) The TDS unit is great and I generally use it where I can; a little harder to recommend though, given its price vs functionality. As you point out, the touchscreen is brilliant - a much more user friendly option in the sim! Thanks again! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations thanks 🙏- I’m sure you unapologetically wearing a Airbus 320 hat, t-shirt and bag. Or just put on your uniform! Lol 😂 Maybe they should allow plane badges/patches. Got visions now of you with the the crew 😂 - like in the movie 🍿 “Catch Me If a you Can” - loved that movie. When life stops kicking my butt - I hope to be able to do more in msfs.
Well seems like the Seneca is going to have some competition. Although I still prefer the design of the Seneca. However MilViz did quite the good job with the 310R. They even sent me a 5$ discount code, so lets see if it ends up being in the hangar. After all their PC-6 has been serving me quite well. Anyways as always thanks for the review! I definitely have to catch up quite a bit on the other reviews you posted.
For sure Dream! I enjoy the Seneca, but in most respects it doesn’t come close (and that’s because the 310 is great, not because the Seneca is bad). Likewise though, I prefer the styling and the cockpit of the Seneca haha - although I think the C414 might be my favourite overall. Haha, indeed. Although the release of the 310 did remind me, that we’re still waiting on that steam gauge Porter! My pleasure as always! Don’t feel too much pressure to catch up, it’s been a busy week haha XD Cheers! : )
This may replace my "one flight before dinner" aircraft Piper Warrior III. And PMDG 737 around the corner, this going to be a big week. And the wish for A2A aircraft fades away...........
Haha, you might find you arrive at dinner a little less relaxed than you used to then Øystein - having an engine go bang right before it’s time to eat, isn’t quite as serene as taking in the scenery in the Warrior! XD The 310 is an excellent product, as I’m sure the 737 will be. An expensive week indeed as you say, but a great time to be a simmer nevertheless! Happy flying! : )
Hello Warren, sorry for the incredibly slow reply! I somehow missed your post on my original run through the comments. It's been a fair old while since I've flown any GA aircraft at this point, but for sure I recall the EGT gauge being more "dynamic" than we typically see in MSFS. That being said, on a mechanical gauge the needle was still fairly smooth in terms of its movement (this was not the case with a digital readout). MILVIZ have certainly done a nice job of bringing the aircraft a little bit closer towards reality in general, with slight differences between engine parameters, gauges behaving and responding in a more true to life fashion etc. Cheers and all the best! : )
As always, you did a great job with this review. You've given me a lot to think about, now that this aircraft is available on Xbox. This or the Cessna 414? I'll watch that review next. Thank you for the review!
Haha, that’s a very tough call to make Dillan, both are excellent products! I’m always inclined to recommend the C310 over the C414, primarily for the deeper systems depth and the inclusion of failure modelling. Despite the quality of the C414, the experience always feels just that little bit more hollow, knowing that nothing will even go wrong. That being said, take those two factors out of the equation and I would choose the 414 - I love the way she flies, as well as the cockpit setup and increased performance. I hope that helps a little bit in making your decision. I doubt you’ll be disappointed with whichever you choose ; ) I’m glad you found the review useful. Thanks and best of luck!
Haha, well it was from other Kiwis that I had formed my opinions, but I gather it can very different weather and indeed climate from one area of New Zealand to another; sounds like where you are (NZWB is Woodbourne from memory?) is probably a better bet than being up north then! : P Cheers and all the best! : )
Haha, well I'm glad I sprang to mind good sir! : D I hope you're now airborne and enjoying the excellent MILVIZ C310! : ) Thanks very much and all the best!
Hi John, The MILVIZ C310 is still a nice option. That being said, I would argue that the Black Square Piston Duke, is a more realistic / complete MSFS twin experience, overall. I hope that helps a little. All the best! : )
oooh those features look nice. That's some real A2A style attention to detail there. Think I'll have to get this one as well and fly a grubby looking Cessna around secluded central American dirt strips. That rental feature is a nice little touch, don't think I've seen that before and will keep people on their toes. Looking forward to getting some random failure and panicking like crazy. It'd be awesome if they added this sort of stuff to their Porter as that really is a scrubby dirty utility plane but they said they won't unfortunately, ah well. You said the sounds are nice and from what I hear in the vid I agree and I really like that mixture leaver noise. Something about it tickles me the right way. Only problem I have is that there's too many things I wanna get and too little money lol. Oh well such is life. Great review as always and some stunning scenery. I've done a spot of flying around New Zealand myself in the game and it never fails to impress. Cheers!
Yeah, this one certainly isn't far off A2A standards and actually has a few little tricks up its sleeve, that even A2A never came up with. Definitely a brilliant addon and it's a totally different experience flying in the sim, when you know that something *could* break at any time. I do hope that the central American authorities haven't caught up with you just yet! Happy flying : )
That's great to hear Mike! The autopilot was one of the few "chinks" in the 310's armour. I haven't had a chance to revisit the aircraft again yet, but look forward to doing so when I can find the time : ) Cheers for the update! All the best.
@@IntotheBlueSimulations but make sure first I had a minor issue ynow that roll thing but if you help it and then engage should be ok . Help it as holds its hand as it were put the aircraft on course then engage.
I’m afraid I don’t have time to make a video at the moment, but I can do you one better; send me an email to intotheblueinbox@gmail.com and I’ll send my profile over when I get a chance ; ) Glad you’re enjoying the content. Thanks and all the best! : )
Cheers Jep! Haha, I’m forever threatening to organise a group flight, but never quite manage to find the time. . . If you want to organise something with the other chaps though, I’m sure some of them will be keen! : ) All the best!
Hi Roy, Not sure on that one I'm afraid. I've been very busy of late, so haven't had a chance to test the aircraft further just yet. There may be an issue there, or it could simply be a quirk of the daytime conditions and / or the recording tool I use for replays. Sorry I can't really clarify that one any further. Cheers and all the best! : )
Just re-watched this as I'm still really enjoying it. Be nice for a short re-review, as the landing dynamics have be totally changed recently. Like to know your thoughts on those. It's far easier to land, and doesn't just plummet under about 90. Thing I can't work out is if this is like IRL now, or if they've just changed it to make it easier? If it's the former, odd that they took so long.
Hi Stwutter, Actually, I would love to revisit the C310 (if only to enjoy the aircraft once more). I’ve long been meaning to record another video with the addon, but perhaps I will have to “bump it up the schedule” a little (though I can’t make any promises). I haven’t tried the update myself, but I spoke to a couple of real-world 310 pilots, who seemed to think that the old flight model was pretty good. My sense (for what it’s worth), is probably that quirk of handling was accurate, but a little overdone previously. Thanks for the suggestion! Cheers once again : )
That's a nice little plane and enjoyed the video. I think their timing is bad as IMO, being released 2 weeks ago would perhaps sale more as I would have gobbled it up. Problem now is too much is being released at cost that will limit many from getting stuff they'd like. For example, picked the Mad Dog over Just Flight. Big reason is the Just Flight wasn't known in this area (British) so not part of the culture, while a MD-88 may still be rarely seen like this past Monday. PMDG comes Monday but probably don't want a 700, then there will be many varients. Perhaps I'll say hell with a 737 and reconsider the Just Flight? For now, I'm riding the Mad Dog!
Hi Rage, Yeah, the C310 is a very nice effort from MILVIZ - glad you enjoyed my little showcase of it : ) It's certainly been a very busy couple of weeks for MSFS and I'm sure many are having to choose where to spend their money. It's somewhat unfortunate that all of these great addons came at the same time, but equally it's great that they finally now exist and that we have plenty of choice! I guess overall if you aren't too bothered about the 737-700, it would make more sense to get the 146 and then pick up the 800 (I'm guessing) at a later date; that way you'll have both aircraft, as opposed to two 737's. I know the 146 wasn't particularly common in the US, but I think it still flew with a few carriers? All of that being said though, the 737 is the higher quality product of the two overall. Best of luck deciding (if you haven't done so already). Cheers!
You are the absolute master of (not only) MSFS addon reviews. I don't want to send money via youtube, but directly to you. Any paypal(other direct) option?
Haha, thank you ever so much K4Ri80, very kind of you to say! : P That's very generous and of course, please only do so if you're absolutely sure you want to! I do have a PayPal and I'd be more than happy to prevent TH-cam taking their hefty cut haha: www.paypal.com/paypalme/IntotheBlueSim?locale.x=en_GB Thank you as always for your support of the channel, it is hugely appreciated! All the best : )
Thanks G naq! Yeah, there were already a couple of good / fun twins kicking around for MSFS (the Seneca being one of them), but the 310 goes straight to the top of the pile for me! A cracking effort from MILVIZ. Cheers and all the best : )
Hi Dan, Well I did start out at 6,000ft, just went up to 7,000ft to avoid the cloud and didn't really want to go any higher for the sake of the video (as we were descending again almost immediately thereafter). I could have quite happily stayed at 6,000ft and worked my way around the clouds, but again I wanted to be somewhat expeditious for the sake of the video. As for the TAS / GS; you are of course technically correct. There was pretty much zero wind around though, so I figured the groundspeed was a decent enough reference. Cheers and all the best! : )
Thanks very much Larry, my pleasure - glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the C310 is a fantastic effort from MILVIZ, well worthy of anyone's consideration. Cheers and all the best : )
Hi Bullethead, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to that; the recording tool I use does tend to “corrupt” some animations (for example in keeps the brakes on all of the time). I’m afraid I didn’t spot to what extent the gear was actually animated, but I’m fairly sure it does have compression and nosewheel steering etc. It’s an unfortunate side affect of using the recording tool that I do, but I can’t think of a better way to record these types of shots for the time being. All the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Hmm... In the external views of taxi, takeoff, and landing, the whole plane bounced up and down on stiff legs. So, does your recording software do that, moving the motion of the suspension to the entire body? Seems a bit of a stretch to me. Just something I noticed, and you did say the plane was still early access.
I can't take much more of this constant demand on my bank account. I'm going to buy a takeaway instead. I haven't even managed to land the Maddog yet successfully. The thing wont descend.😀 What fun this is!
Hi Roland,
Yeah, I heard the same thing from MILVIZ and others thereafter. That's great if they got it spot on - guess I can't blame the aircraft for my dodgy landings now then : P
The 310 is a complete triumph and worth every one of those very reasonable pennies!
Same LondonMarky, not to mention all the hardware available, honeycomb kit, Thrustmaster kit etc.....great fun though!
@@coffeeguy6673 just waiting for the Honeycomb Charlie is all. After that, I should have a complete set up.
This is gonna give the Seneca a run for it's money. Looks like a lot of fun.
Absolutely Ozzy! I enjoy the Seneca for sure, but the 310 really is in a whole different league. Great fun indeed!
XD
Cheers and all the best! : )
Really looking forward more GA aircraft with this behaviour! Would love if a Arrow III/IV had these features.
I’m hoping we’ll see the likes of REP from X-Plane in MSFS at some point : )
All the best!
Thank you so much for giving us some opportunities to actually hear the plane instead of just saying listen to that isn't it great while keeping it muted like virtually every other fs youtuber :)
My pleasure sir! I can’t say I get it right 100% of the time (I almost always seem to forget cockpit night lighting haha), but I try and tick all the boxes where I can ; )
besides, if any addon deserves to be heard, this is certainly one of them! : )
Thanks you and all the best!
It's great that MILVIZ managed to model that accurately then : )
Cheers and all the best!
Hi ACC,
I would have most certainly agreed with you initially and said the same thing myself during the review; but it seems according to Drago and other real-world 310 pilots, that behaviour is actually true to life of the real-world aircraft : )
Cheers and all the best!
Milviz always been good at flight models... Since FSX.
This cessna looks very well modelled.
It’s true. MILVIZ always do a very nice job of creating aircraft that have some character / feeling to them and the flight model is obviously a big part of that. This one is every bit as good as the Corsair, but a little bit easier to fly XD
Cheers!
If you were feeling a bit sleepy, had gone for a cruise and then suffered an engine failure, that might have woken you up a little : P
I’m certainly hoping that NZ gets the World Update treatment as well at some point; it’s such a beautiful part of the world.
Thanks very much zkdos, although I see I'm not the only one making videos with the C310 these days ; )
I enjoyed your vid as well (you're way more of a natural than I am!) and was going to leave a comment, but you had comments turned off - you're missing out on all of the wonderful things people come to say on the internet! : P
Thanks very much for the feedback re the aircrafts handling, it's great to hear that MILVIZ even managed to get that behaviour correct then.
It says a lot that, that of all the stunning features NZ has to offer, that was the thing that most stuck out to them XD
Cheers and blue skies haha!
Hi HMW,
I’m a big A2A fan myself and it was actually some of your videos that were responsible for getting me into their products back in the day haha (so thanks very much for that!).
Fingers crossed🤞
Cheers!
After seeing the quality of this I'm really glad that it's Milviz that's making the DHC-2 Beaver. Can't wait for the finished product as it's my favorite plane.
Hi Rawdmon,
Yeah, MILVIZ have been doing an excellent job in MSFS thus far.
Oh yea! I seldom fly without some sort of cloud coverage. Really adds to the immersion to see clouds casting shadows on the ground :)
It really does Pendragon. The sim looks decidedly average with clear skies and midday lighting, but throw in some clouds and offset the time a bit - it really comes alive! ; )
It certainly is Adam! The 310 has headed right to the top of my GA pile for the time being.
Glad you enjoyed the review and indeed the flight; trying to find somewhere nice to showcase the aircraft is half the fun for me haha ; )
Cheers as always!
Thanks for a great review. You have been busy over the last few days 😉
Bought this few days ago superb aircraft and good review really fun to fly with plenty to learn without being overwhelming
Thanks very much Gw. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and I’m pleased to hear you’re enjoying the 310 (it is indeed superb)!

Every time I see a new video from ITBS I get all giddy inside.
Haha! If only I had this affect on the ladies Ryan. . . XD
All the best!
My pleasure on the video(s) - I'm very happy that you're enjoying the content : )
I hope you had a great Christmas / New Years. Happy flying in 2023!
Another good review. I only watch your streams now for no nonsense great reviews, and how you tell it as it is.
I've got this for XP-12, it's a beautiful aircraft with even more beautiful flight characteristics.
Ah right, I didn’t realise the 310 was already working in X-Plane 12! I can indeed imagine that it flies like a dream, given X-Plane’s flight dynamics : )
Happy flying and all the best!
@@IntotheBlueSimulations It does! My favorite aircraft in the fleet 😃
Been waiting on your review and I really appreciate the work you do. Keep it up

All the best!
I just came off the Milviz twitch steram. They said that according to their 310 pilots it is supposed to be twitchy on the approach, "if you don't know what you are doing this is a dangerous plane to fly".
Hi Krister,
Thanks very much for the info! Obviously a lot of my comments in these videos tend to be educated guesses, so it’s nice to have the handling confirmed by guys that have actually flown the aircraft,
It’s probably quite dangerous for me to be anywhere near a C310 then haha XD
Cheers and all the best! : )
Noticed it was a bit sensitive on approach, seems like decent flight model.
As much as I want to buy this plane I am afraid when the PMDG comes out this will remain in my hangar.
If you're predominantly a tubeliner pilot, I would say that's quite possible CA.
Due to my tardy reply, I guess you'll know by now haha XD
All the best! : )
As the aircraft gets dirtier and dirtier, you can see litter building up in the passenger cabin also. Very nice
Haha, is that so Carlos? XD
I wasn’t aware of that. As you say, another nice little touch from MILVIZ / Blackbird.
Cheers, all the best!
I guess they updated the prescribed start procedure after this review? It specifically mentioned to push starter ASAP after switching the primer, and leaving the aux pump in an off position. They go on low after the engine starts and off again after the takeoff.
Fantastic review as always!
Hello Igor,
I think I was using a real-world checklist for the recording, but it may be that I was using the checklist provided by MILVIZ.
XD
$40 (I believe MILVIZ are also offering a $5 discount to previous customers) is an absolute steal on this one!
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Hi,thanks for the reply the sim probably doesn't have a feathering gate.
Excellent your tutorial regarding C310. Congrats
Hello David,
Thank you very much for your kind words, my absolute pleasure on the video!
I'm glad that the sim has you reliving some good memories. The 310 is indeed an absolute gem, easily one of the best addons available within MSFS. If you have picked the aircraft up, I do hope that you're enjoying it!
Happy flying and all the best : )
Nice work, love the videos !!
Thanks very much Josh, really glad you're enjoying the content!
All the best : )
@@kittealand Interesting. Did they say the ATR was going to be simplified ?
@@davidtsw In their twitch stream www.twitch.tv/milvizofficial they say around the 09:10 mark that "it will be study level". At the same time, around the 17:20 mark he also states the ATR (and the Beaver) will "not have all the bells and whistles" that the 310 has. That may refer to a lot of things, like texturing, and I'm confident the ATR will be an instant buy too.
@@kittealand Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
Hi Coldisle,
I'm not familiar with their story actually, but I went away and googled a little - it was a 310B in their case I see.
Nice looking airplane... but I'm just loving the scenery - that's my back yard, got many, many hours in that region!

Oooo, I think this one tops the PA28 for me! I just love the failure modelling and full persistent state etc. To each their own though of course ; )
My pleasure on the review, glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds like i will have to have this plane in my hangar!

XD
As you say, MILVIZ have done a great job with this one - the 310 goes a long way to massively enhancing the MSFS experience (at least for GA flyers).
Thanks very much for the kind words! All the best : )
Lovely aircraft got to add it to my Hanger
It certainly is Mav. A worthy addition to the virtual hangar without a doubt - it’ll cost you an arm and a leg in virtual maintenance mind you! XD
Cheers and all the best!
Yeah, we ended up with a pretty busy period in terms of addon releases and with the Fenix A320 just around the corner as well now XD
The C310 is well worthy of your consideration (if you don't already have it by now); the best GA aircraft currently available for the sim (in my opinion).
Haha no worries, it can happen to the best of us Zsolt! ; )
The 310 is indeed a tricky aircraft to land; according to the guys that have flown it in the real world though, it seems like that's pretty true to life. The aircraft certainly takes some getting used to and for sure, carrying more speed and keeping some power on helps.
Happy landings! : )
Will be getting this to replace the standard Baron G58. Excellent review.
Ah that will certainly be a very nice upgrade then Mark! Enjoy : )
Haha! Well, better late than never as they say : P
Really glad you're enjoying the 310 sir; it is indeed a complete peach and one of the best GA addons I have ever had the pleasure of flying. Haha, "casual scrublord" or otherwise, the 310 treats all men as equal ; )
Thanks very much as always!
The 310 is a cracker, so I hope you've been enjoying it - at least for the couple of days before the 737 came along XD
Thanks very much!
But then you review this gem haha! Must. Have. This. Cessna 310R! I love the attention to detail MILVIZ put in to this one!
Thanks for keeping the dream alive, even when the base product is doing everything it can to get me to give up! Already have the money invested in the base game (with no chance of a refund), might as well try out some of the better third party offerings!
Hi Brett,
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with the sim.
It might all be a bit backwards, but at the end of the day, doing what you enjoy is the most important thing in the hobby! ; )
Happy flying and all the best : )
Your right side door was open while taxiing :-D
So happy, Milviz is the best! Will be nice to have this bird back again and even better than P3D.
@@ImpendingJoker any news on when A2A will finally make an appearance in this sim?
@@ImpendingJoker If these guys ever release something lol
@@ImpendingJoker I’m a huge fan of A2A, but I believe it’ll be years before I see their Bonanza and Cub…
Much better to deal with your emergencies in the sim ; )
What was the precautionary landing for (if you don't mind my being nosy)?
I have the Carenado's 3 greats, this one I had under x-plane and it was never a disappointment, I'm hoping this will be better under MSFS.
Well the scenery will certainly be prettier Freddie haha!
but yeah, I don’t think you’ll be too disappointed with this one ; )

I'm sure the wallet didn't enjoy the hit, but I do hope you're enjoying the 310! ; )
All the best : )
I have 20 years sim pilot ,this best real aircraft simulated, like reall
Hi engosti,
Yep, the 310 is definitely one of the finest examples of a GA aircraft seen in the sim to date : )
All the best!
so MilViz - Cessna 310R is on study level with PMDG ? thats awesome wish I knew that before I passed it up thinking it was not study level
Hi La Mar,
Obviously, the level of complexity between the two aircraft is quite different, but I would say the level of fidelity is very much on a par between the two products (with the 310 arguably having more functionality that the 737 even). Without a doubt the 310 is an excellent "study level" addon - one worth keeping an eye on for the future perhaps ; )
I hope that clarifies things a little. All the best! : )
I wish I had track ir it makes flying so much better
It is a really nice little addition Tyler, costly I know though. There are some cheaper / freeware alternatives out there mind you, should you wish to give it a try : )
All the best!
Well done review, thinking of buying. There’s so many good ones released lately, hard to choose.
Cheers Ronnie!
Haha, well the C310 is certainly worth of consideration - but there is indeed a lot to choose from at the moment XD
I know you’re a big PMDG fan, so I assume that is a given, but the 310 is undoubtedly the best GA aircraft for the sim all things considered ; )
All the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Computer 💻 finally back from service, broken water pump. Getting late and it’s dark, set up tomorrow. In a way should wait until all 737 models have been released, then decide. I also want MD-11 but that will be a long wait. Might go BAE146 first
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Finally release date for 737-700, maybe you watched the announcement just an hour ago ? May 9 !
Hi! I really like how you control your cameras, especially while doing cockpit checklists. Could you do a video to show how you set this up? Or at least leave some instructions?
Hi Patchington,
Cheers, I'm glad you think it gives a decent effect. I'm using a head-tracking device called TrackIR. If you own one, I'd be happy to send you my profile over? Just send me an email to intotheblueinbox@gmail.com if you want it.

@@IntotheBlueSimulations I'm very curious about this device. Is it a stand-alone gadget or do you need another couple hundred in accessories to make it chooch? I'm learning how to use the mouse to glance around the cockpit, but looking around would be keen.
Pmdg dc-6 after Cessna 310 after 737 700 pmdg that's it no need different craft, awesome
No Spitfire?! : O
Haha, they are indeed 3 excellent aircraft ; )
Clear Prop!
I find it funny how the dude just yelled clear prop out the window of his virtual plane @4:35. I mean I'm all for realism but that's just a bit silly.
Hi Lewis,
It is indeed a bit silly, but it’s kind of become a running joke at this point. “No harm done” and all that ; )
All the best! : )
Another cracking review, thanks!
Thanks very much Burrator, my pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it : )
All the best!
Milviz has excellent products
They certainly do Blitz! MILVIZ have been putting out some quality offerings for MSFS and this one is arguably their best yet - almost certainly the best GA aircraft now available for the sim!
All the best : )
@Aerosoft...Oh.....they have left the building!? Thank you ITTBlue
Haha! Now now Willem. . . : P
but yeah, MILVIZ definitely knocked the ball out of the park with this one!
My pleasure on the review! Thanks very much for watching and all the best : )
Great videos! I can't wait for the only GA aircraft I flew in FSX! The MILVIZ B55! ;)
Thanks very much Andy, really glad you're enjoying the content!
I do recall MILVIZ making a Baron; unfortunately I didn't know any better at the time and went with the Carenado Baron instead XD
I'll bet the MILVIZ version was great though, I'd certainly be keen to try it in MSFS.
Cheers and all the best! : )
Fantastic review as always👍👍👍
Thank you and take care.
Thank you very much sir! This one is going to cost you a fortune in virtual maintenance - but lucky you can pay for it with the virtual credit card! XD
All the best : )
Flysimware - Cessna 414 AW Chancellor actually is Gold, i have read a lot and everybody says is the best twin actually for FS20.
Hi Rikus,
Yeah, the C414 is a great addon! Every bit as good as the C310 in many respects; where I feel the 310 has the edge though, is in the systems / failure modelling. The C414 is one of my favourites though and as an aeroplane, I actually prefer it to the C310.
All the best! : )
loving that sound thou
Yeah, MILVIZ have done an excellent job with the sounds haven’t they Crow : )
All the best!
@@IntotheBlueSimulations they sure have, wish my little Piper sounded like that ay.
Hi LG,
The 310 is without a doubt the best GA option for the sim currently; it ticks all of the boxes and simply offers so many more features than the competition. Well worth picking up if you're looking for a twin and you can justify the cost (at least it's quite competitively priced). Can't go wrong with either the 737 or the A320 really, though I think it's clear where my preference lies on that one ; )
The TDS unit is great and I generally use it where I can; a little harder to recommend though, given its price vs functionality.
Don’t feel too much pressure to catch up, it’s been a busy week haha XD
Cheers! : )
This may replace my "one flight before dinner" aircraft Piper Warrior III.
And PMDG 737 around the corner, this going to be a big week. And the wish for A2A aircraft fades away...........
Update --- purchased ... Going to be an expensive weekend with PMDG 737
Haha, you might find you arrive at dinner a little less relaxed than you used to then Øystein - having an engine go bang right before it’s time to eat, isn’t quite as serene as taking in the scenery in the Warrior! XD
The 310 is an excellent product, as I’m sure the 737 will be. An expensive week indeed as you say, but a great time to be a simmer nevertheless!
Happy flying! : )
I would love to hear from an experienced real world pilot if that EGT modelling is accurate. It sure looks lively and and real.
I doubt you’ll be disappointed with whichever you choose ; )
I’m glad you found the review useful. Thanks and best of luck!
Hi from over in NZ at NZWB ..... We get maybe 1 cloudy day every 3 or 4 months here ;)
Haha, well it was from other Kiwis that I had formed my opinions, but I gather it can very different weather and indeed climate from one area of New Zealand to another; sounds like where you are (NZWB is Woodbourne from memory?) is probably a better bet than being up north then! : P
Cheers and all the best! : )
Great review, thanks!

I just recently bought this amazing aircraft. I sat there thinking "hmm how do it start this up?" aha ITBS ;)
Haha, well I'm glad I sprang to mind good sir! : D

excellent review as always.
Thank you very much Lior! Glad you enjoyed it : )
Cheers as always for watching. All the best!
Nice! Cool new features!
Indeed Jason - a lot of cool new features with this one!
All the best : )
How do people think this thing holds up today compared to the ever advancing state of the art in MSFS?
Hi John,
The MILVIZ C310 is still a nice option.
Happy flying : )
oh The auto pilot it seems to work now in the different variants of the 310 as of the latest update from MSFS SU 10
That's great to hear Mike! The autopilot was one of the few "chinks" in the 310's armour. I haven't had a chance to revisit the aircraft again yet, but look forward to doing so when I can find the time : )
Cheers for the update! All the best.
@@IntotheBlueSimulations but make sure first I had a minor issue ynow that roll thing but if you help it and then engage should be ok . Help it as holds its hand as it were put the aircraft on course then engage.

The lights look off they light up the ground but you don't see the landing illuminated
Hi Roy,
Not sure on that one I'm afraid.
Hi Stwutter,
Actually, I would love to revisit the C310 (if only to enjoy the aircraft once more).
Hi Rage,
Yeah, the C310 is a very nice effort from MILVIZ - glad you enjoyed my little showcase of it : )
It's certainly been a very busy couple of weeks for MSFS and I'm sure many are having to choose where to spend their money.
Cheers!

@@IntotheBlueSimulations wow! Guess I'll be retiring my Seneca as well then :)
Nice plane! But remember to fly correct VFR altitudes, That speed on the garmin is not TAS is GS.
Hi Dan,
Well I did start out at 6,000ft, just went up to 7,000ft to avoid the cloud and didn't really want to go any higher for the sake of the video (as we were descending again almost immediately thereafter).
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Thanks for the review btw! Always good man!

Yes, the C310 is a fantastic effort from MILVIZ, well worthy of anyone's consideration.
Cheers and all the best : )
Looks pretty good but I noticed in your external clips that the landing gear was totally rigid. No suspension flexing, no steering of the nosewheel.
Hi Bullethead,
I wouldn’t pay too much attention to that; the recording tool I use does tend to “corrupt” some animations (for example in keeps the brakes on all of the time).
Haha! Well I hope the takeaway was good John! Sounds like Fenix might want a word with you next XD
