I love your journal, very creative and pretty. Handy tip for your favorite quotes page (I started one too 😀) when a quote stands out to you either write it down right away or take a photo with your phone so you have it handy later.
I’ve been using my notes app and just putting the page number so I don’t have to stop reading and type in an entire quote, but taking a picture of the quote from the notes app is an even better idea! Thanks!!

I have a booktracker in every month, where I write down every book and Earbook I read and hear in every month, which is verry nice to lock back.
I can't decide which Book I will start in the new year, because there are so many on my desk.

I love how minimalistic this was. The snakes came out beautiful! What size do you make the book covers? I am looking for a good size for my reading journal.
Thank you so much! For the book covers, I size the width to .87 inch and the height is adjusted accordingly so that the proportions aren't off.
My first book of 2022 is The Song of Achilles! I found out about this book in 2021 and I absolutely HAD to read it, I couldn't resist! I'm loving it so far and it's definitely a boost of motivation for reading even more in 2022
Oh I've heard so many good things about that one. I have Circe but I want to read The Song of Achilles first...so many books, so little time. 😂

These spreads are gorgeous! I just started book bujo in May of this year, so I'm already trying to catch up from all my 2021 and 2022 reads, but I'm definitely researching spreads for the 2023 book journal I plan on creating! Your styles are so fun and I now know that I want to try to complete the A-Z challenge next year. I just subscribed for all the book journal content.

This is jut beautiful and magical to look at it … the bookmark idea for the spacing grid is amazing, definitely going to use that idea. I am starting to put together ideas to set up my 2022 journal and that helps a lot. Thank you for being so creative, I haven’t read much for the past 2 years, mostly for being at home I haven’t adapt much to read, and I did’d had that book that grasp my attention yet… but thinking to start again reading before bedtime and maybe that will help me. :)
Thank you! I didn't read for several years for the same reason. I just couldn't find anything that interested me then, my best friend "made" me read House of Night (super cheesy but for some reason I loved it) and it opened my eyes to the world of YA Fantasy and I haven't looked back! 😁

Wow, I am so impressed with your drawing skills! I’ve always been a book lover but this is the first time I’ve seen someone make a book journal and my mind is blown 😆 (I realize I’m late to the game 🤷🏼♀️). I won’t be able to make one this beautiful but I can’t wait to try now ❤️

I, too, have trouble remembering quotes. As I read, something will stand out and I always think, “I will remember that.” NOT I have found looking on Goodreads or just searching the internet for quotes will help me remember one I liked or point out one I may have missed. One day I will start marking as I read…
That's exactly what I do! I remember absolutely nothing as soon as I put the book down! 🤣
I also use Goodreads to find quotes.

Beautiful spread! I think I’m going to try the grid spacing book mark. The previous method of having it on its own page was okay but I found myself never using it.

Oh I haven't heard of Pumpkin, I'll have to check that out. People We Meet on Vacation was SOOOO GOOOODDD!!! The bookmark has been so nice. I never used the grid spacing guide when it was one of the pages but being able to just line this up and make my marks where I want them has been super handy!!

The easiest way for me to remember quotes from books that I love, or two when I’m reading immediately text myself the page number and the quote and then you can always refer back to it at a later date.

I can’t wait to start a Good Girls Guide to Murder! Heir of Fire is one I’ve been putting off for a while. I’ve tried to get through the Throne of Glass series a few times but I just can’t get behind the hype! 😂
@@TracyTylerRevell I reread Throne of Glass recently and I think I want to read Heir of Fire more out of curiosity then anything else, I haven’t heard too many good things about it or the rest of the series so like you, i’ve been putting it off aha

For 2022 I couldn’t wait to finish the Court of Thorns and Roses series (also by Sarah J Maas) and I already did it! Not even a month in to the new year! I’m left missing the characters now until the next release!
Oh man, I was DESTROYED after ACOMAF!! It took me a way longer than it should have to get over that book! 🤣 I can't wait until the new one comes out!!
I am not a snake person at all (I wish I was - I can see the appeal! I’m just deathly afraid haha), but I loved your drawings of them! I don't remember the quotes too, eve if they stood out when I was reading the book. So what I do now is i put a tape flag or a small post it. So when I finally get the time to update my reading journal, i can go back to the page where the quote was and write it down.
I do that too! I'm just too cozy sometimes to get up and grab my post its. I try to remember to stick a few to whatever bookmark I'm using but when I run out...it could be several books later when I remember to "refill it". 😂

Traded a few books for new used ones today. Trying to get thru Lamb by Christopher Moore this month
# must read for 2022 for me (as a very apocalyptic and thriller lover ) is orv . it’s an old novel, and it’s recently gotten a webtoon . i’m very excited to start it !!
also kotw and kotc are so GOOD my gf and i did reading dates for it . 10/10 recommend.

The Love Hypothesis was SO GOOD! I read it in November. I loved it! Cemetery Boys sounds like a great book too, I have been eyeing that one for a while. I haven't heard of Iron Widow. I will have to look into it! Thanks!!

Where do you get the paper to make the grid spacing bookmark? Do you take it from the back of the journal? It's a lovely journal, btw. The black and white and the moons are gorgeous.
Thanks! I used the scrap pieces from my 2022 setup when I cut the Dutch doors but if I hadn’t done that I would have just used a page from the back of the book.

They are 6 wide x 10 tall. I leave a little space under each cover so I can put the rating when I read it. 😁

This setup is wonderful! I'm curious about the snake artwork that you did for the beginning pages. I was hoping to find the original artwork that you used for inspiration, but I didn't see an attribution in the description, and the video just mentioned Pinterest, but not the artist. Can you tell me the original artist to help me find it?

How did you get all the book cover images the same size as stickers?? And what do you print them with??? I want to try this for my media spreads. Book I want to read this year: Overstory
I took a screenshot of the book covers from Goodreads and imported the images into Pages (its a program like Word for Mac) and then just resized each image to exactly the same size. It sounds much harder than it is. I printed them onto sticker paper that I got in a 100 pack from Amazon. Hope that helps. I haven't heard of Overstory, I will have to check it out!!

Normally I just track my reading on goodreads but thought it might be fun to use this too or also do it for songs/playlists, movies, etc. “The Overstory” is the full title. It’s supposed to be amazing. Right nose I’m finishing the Court of mist & fury.... great series

How did you get the books to the size you wanted when you printed them?
I screenshot them from Goodreads, dragged the image to Pages (Apple's version of Word) and then resized the image to .87 inches wide.
What do you do with the rest of the journal?
I create a monthly setup where I record the books I read each month as well ad other stats. I also, create book spreads for my favorite books. 😁
