    Sending you a big hug. There have been studies about losing total interest in reading and creating after a trauma. You’ll get back to it. ❤

    • @TracyTylerRevell
      @TracyTylerRevell  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes! and sometimes that trauma can be, for a lack of a better word, transferred to an object even if that object has nothing to do with the incident. That unfortunately is what I think I'm dealing with in regards to my bullet journal. Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

    I'm so happy to see you again. You were missed, but the most important is that you have to take care or yourself and see what you need.
    Hope you'll be back when you feel is the right moment. Since then greetings from Spain.

    I can hear the pain in your voice and your laugh 😔 As a person who knows trauma, I absolutely understand the loss of creativity, but I hope your heart will heal day by day. May you find joy in every laughter.
    May the pain fade with every sunrise. Your setups are gorgeous and give me so much inspiration to work in my journal. Hope to see you back soon 🌷✨️
    Lots of love ❤️

    I have seen some of your videos in the past, but this one is by far the most relatable. My father passed away at the beginning of the year and it was months before I was really able to be creative, and the things I have done, I had to really push myself to even try to do them. I don't know what you are going through exactly, but I do understand trauma and depression.
    My father was in and out of hospital all of 2022, and I got SOOO much reading done, but did not touch my reading journal till just recently. I am now trying to go back and filling the pages of that journal with what I read. It is slow going because, as you pointed out, grief dose not always lend it's self to creativity.
    You and your family will get through this. Get back into it at your own pace and try to be kind to your self. I have subscribed and am looking forward to hearing how you are doing. My heart goes out to you all.

    I am so happy just to hear your voice. I have missed you! I totally understand that you needed (and may still need) a break. I really appreciate you sharing your feelings about lack of creativity - for whatever reason. The pages you created are still so beautiful and cute. OOOOH The Washi Tape Shop tapes are gorgeous! I think I might need to get those. You might be able to so a little tweaking and save that BuJo for next year! I love that you are taking time for yourself and are reading (wow 10 books!!!) and taking care of your mental health. So good to hear from you. ❣❣

    I absolutely love your stile, and I've missed seeing your take on Bullet journaling. I have also been in - and a lot out - of my journal, but now we seem to have reconnected. Tracy I am in a very similar boat! I am super-slowly working on my new bujo setup for 2023 (granted I used my last one all the way through January 2023 so started my new one at a "weird" time).
    My one issue with giving myself grace with my bullet journal is that I pay a lot of money for the notebooks and all the stuff I use in them. I guess once I've started in a notebook I tend to put more pressure on myself.

    • @TracyTylerRevell

      I absolutely get this! Anything relating to stationary is not a cheap hobby! I think that's one reason why I kept trying to make this particular book work for me but eventually I just couldn't stand to look at it anymore. Creative bullet journaling should never be a chore! 😂 It should always be our happy place. 🩷

    I'm sorry things haven't been wonderful for you. I've really missed you but understand that family is always first. Take the time you need. I bet when you do come back your creative energy will be through the roof. I loved your Feb and March layouts--too bad you didn't use them. I have done it too, where I've created beautiful layouts and then just couldn't put forth the energy to use my bujo. Then eventually something inspired me and I was back using it. I also received those clear washi tapes and I've been wondering how I'd use them in layouts. Thanks for giving me some ideas. Cutting the grouped flowers out is a great way to use them. I love your stuff. I hope you are able to come back, but if not, I (and I'm sure your whole community) understand.

    Glad to see you back and I’m sorry to hear about your circumstances. Since I began planning I’ve experienced lulls in creativity due to depression. Then guilt for neglecting my planner, creativity, and social media account. In fact, in 2022 I took a break from my planner Instagram account for pretty much the whole year. The guilt is normal but please try to move past it. You don’t owe us anything and your journal will be there for you whenever you want to use it. I love back-planning and writing little notes about what was going on when I’ve neglected my planner. Then I can go back and read what I wrote to myself and it lessens the guilt. Maybe your bujo is meant to become more of a journal than a planner. I personally love the disc system for my work and wellness planners. Check out Jane’s Agenda, I think you’ll love her stuff. Anyway, take care of you and your fam. I hope you continue to heal and find some peace 💛

    Please do not make a bullet journal that does not work for you just to please us.
    When things are chaotic in my life, I tend to lean towards simple spreads (just month overview and daily just to log things) where it is just boxes and a few highlights. From there you can re-evaluate what spreads you actually still need for next month.
    Sending lots of hugs 🤗☺️🥰

    Ahhh, Tracy! Hi! So nice to hear your voice and laugh and see your beautiful journal again! I'm just at the beginning of the video, but had to say that you've been much missed and it's good to see you. Create when you feel like creating. Your bujo is yours to use where and when you see fit. My best to you and your family, sweet lady. 🤍 I feel like I can hear the tears in your voice and I am so sorry you're hurting and feeling at loose ends. We're here for you as a community!
    ETA: I empathize with not using your journal a lot, though. I have ADHD and sometimes hyperfocus on a task, so I actually ended up building out my entire 2023 bullet journal at the end of 2022. It turns out that that means I sort of forget it exists when I'm not decorating month by month, since I don't use it for daily to-do lists, just habit tracking and keeping track of quotes and favorite words, etc. (I keep to-do lists digitally in Notion, since it's easy to move tasks around!) I've pushed into creating other journals like a reading journal, a tarot journal, and an embroidery journal, which has helped to remind me to use my normal one, but it's still hard. Creativity can be such a fickle thing when our brains are going through troubles. (GOD, sorry for the novel! I just feel for you and wanted to reach out!) 🤍

    • @TracyTylerRevell
      @TracyTylerRevell  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much! I truly get this! I felt like everything was connected to my bullet journal but I just couldn't bring myself to use it so I tried other planners but since I wasn't having to set them up every month I completely forgot they existed! LOL. Hopefully you have found your creativity/planner sweet spot. 🩷
