2023 was a dumpster fire for me too. The amount of times I said a variation of « Ok, I’m straight up not having a good time right now » , « 0/10 would not recommend », « I hate this », or « I cannot possibly overstate how over 2023 I am » out loud is probably in the hundreds. Hopefully 2024 is better for both of us. ❤ Also, I may or may not have given my partner a heart attack when I screeched « OHMYGODYEEESSSSS! » when I saw that you had posted a video 😂

It’s lovely to see a video from you again! I’ve been thinking about starting a journal for being creative without any purpose other than to have fun so this was good timing. You mentioned your other creative journal and I wondered what size notebook you were using for that one?
My other notebook is a Hobonichi Cousin. It has daily pages that I journal in or doodle or whatever else I feel like doing everyday. It’s an A5 size.
Tracy I am so so glad you are back. And the funny thing is that I have started a „ commonplace/junk journal myself and it is my favorite! No appointments or weekly spreads.
And I have been ordering from the Washitape shop myself.
Sometimes I write down a motivating sentence.
And I am following Ymeg journals, too!
Isn’t it so refreshing to just create with no real purpose? I love it!
So glad you're back! 2023 wasn't kind here either #cancersucks BUT I kicked it's ass! I was so down I didn't touch my journaling at all. It probably would have been the best medicine though. I hope all is well on your end. Much love ❤

This is such an inspiring video. I feel so intimidated to do a journal like this but really want to. Thank you for sharing! ❤ Also, I agree that I wish the beautiful washi tapes like those you show here were kiss cut so I didn't need to fussy cut them.
The best thing about this little notebook is that there are NO rules. It's such a great way to play with new techniques and just see what happens. I am loving it!

I keep coming back to your content, especially your reading journal content! I am so glad you're back! I do have a question for you that would save me hunting through all your old videos if you have the answer off hand. What are the dimensions you use to print book covers as stickers? I want to start a reading journal and I like the size you use.
😊 Thanks! I size the width to 0.87 Inch and let the height adjust itself so that the image doesn’t get skewed. Hope that makes sense…😂

I too have changed from the A&O books. I was into fountain pens with EF nibs. They did not write smoothly on A&O paper. I started with a Sterling Ink 1/2 year B6 and found my joy again. The structure is there and I use stickers to decorate. The back has pages I use to journal. Planner peace. Glad you are back. Hope you and family are well.
I used the Sterling Ink Undated Common Planner for a little while but I didn't really like the hourly layout. However, I fell head over heels for the paper!! I just wish the covers were different. I am so used to the hard covers from A&O/Notebook Therapy that the flimsy black covers are not my favorite.
Tracy, maybe the Hemlock&Oak Planner is for you? I'm loving the vertical timeline and the paper is so smooth 😍
I actually looked into that planner when I was deciding my 2024 bujo/planner. If I move back to a planner again, it’s definitely in the running. 😁

👋 I didn't keep one at all last year and I'm a bit mad at myself for that. I haven't had a chance to set one up this year either but I will! I'm hoping to get it done before the end of February so I can hopefully still remember the books I've read. 🤣 I'm torn with what size to use though, A5 is so big but A6 feels so small...
