I am so happy I found your channel. I love this reading journal setup. It really motivated me to start a reading journal for 2024. I just started reading books so I am super excited for this.
14:23 Heir of Fire was the hardest book to read in Throne of Glass! The Manon chapters were so hard to get through, but they are incredibly important for setting up the rest of the world building and character development! Hopefully you can get through it and love them as much as I do!
Some books beginning with the letter J (that I highly recommend) are: "Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan, "Jane Fairfax" by Joan Aiken, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, and "Just So Stories" by Rudyard Kipling. Beautiful video as always. xx
When I was young I was in a teen book club at my local library. At one meeting the librarian hosting us would assign us a book and at the following months meeting we would discuss the plot, how we felt about different aspects of the book and alternate interpretations of themes in the book. We also often ended up talking about how we wished things had happened in the book.
I would like to see a book club - with plenty of notice of what the book is so it can be ordered or requested at a library --- and sometimes that can take 2 weeks. Almost like you have to be half a month ahead. Can't wait to see what you decide and pick if it's a go! Gorgeous setup!
So beautiful and inviting! For the reading challenge you could fill in with a different color for paper, audio, and ebook. Thanks for the inspiring setup!
I really like this theme. The cover and the A-Z challenge pages are my favorite, but I noticed you put the covers on the 23 in 23 pages in color-order, and I appreciate that so much XP For J recommendations, as mainly a fantasy reader myself: -Jade City by Fonda Lee (A trilogy of Js, so you can read for 3 years lol) ~ The other two being Jade War and Jade Legacy. They are insanely good -Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel, by Susanna Clarke (same author of Piranesi, if you are familiar with this one) -Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë (it's a classic, not a fantasy xP)
I really love these designs and as someone with zero artistic ability, the use of more crafty techniques makes this so much more accessible. However I'm really curious what you do with the rest of the journal as there's so much left blank after the few decorated pages?
I love that journal! Just the right decoration on the front for a book journal. I’m using a Penny Doodles A5 journal from Oops a Daisy for my book journal, so that has a cute fountain pen character on it.
I can relate to not remembering books - last month I actually went to rate a book on goodreads and discovered that I had already read it in 2018. Lol. Also, I totally agree with your friend about it being worth it to keep going with the Throne of Glass series.
Oh my gosh, that sounds like something I would do. 😂 I keep hearing that from so many people about Throne of Glass. I'm hoping that once I sit down to read the physical book, it will be easier to get through.
since i saw your apple watch i would love to see what's on my apple watch how you using it while you read :) i love this spread definitely implement it into my digital journal.
is beutifull. I loved! You inspiration me, i have now a Bujo mark using your model and is very usefull. Thanks from all bottom of my heart! P.S. sorry for my rusty english :3
I would love to join in on a bookclub! I am in three online Bookclubs and one thing I would definitely recommend is making a Discord server for the club. It is a great way to connect with everyone and chat about the book/bookish things, and even do sprints together to help motivate everyone to read.
Oh I like that idea. Does that cost you guys something? I thought about doing it through Patreon but I hate for you to have to pay to be a part of my book club. I'm so new to all things internet related. 🤣
I haven’t read a J title either or X or Z . If you have story graph they have the challenge on there and you can see what others have adding to the prompt for ideas
For a J book I would recommend Jasper Jones, it’s a bit of a murder mystery. A bit of a fight for justice. And a really brilliant Australian read (although I may be biased about that last point)
This turned out so pretty! For the 'J' in the A to Z Challenge I've read Jade City this year and have Jane Eyre and The Jasmine Thrones on my TBR for next year.
Oh Jade City! I actually have that on my Goodreads want to read list. Thanks for the reminder! 😁 I’ll have to look into The Jasmine Thrones, I’ve never heard of it. Thanks!!
Yes to the book club and the first book in your 23 for 23 Love on the Brain is a must read. I gave it a 5 star rating in my reading journal. I love books like that and I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did.
I can really relate to you about throne of glass, for me as well was kinda hart to get past the first book, but trust me when I tell you, you'll fall in love with every written word. I have a question though, where did you find the audiobook? I've looked everywhere but nothing.
For a J recommendation if you're feeling Emily Henry-esque romcoms -- Just Drinks by Christine Mayfaire! Technically a December/holiday novel but you could really read it whenever. =)
Maybe make one of your book club picks a J month? J books in Jan, June or July 😊 Love the set-up. Absolutely gorgeous. Maybe with the reading challenge page you could color them in based on your rating of the book, to give the spread a range of colour?
Could you please let me know where to find the details for your grid spacing guide? Your journals are wonderful, and I appreciate all the great inspiration and beauty..
Beautiful journal! I live the aesthetic of it. And the green vibe, flowers and butterflies ❤️ You gave me the inspiration to start my own reading journal this year. As to Throne of Glass, wow, I'm suprised cause I couldn't get through the first book, but once I started the second it was better and better and the Heir of Fire you're struggling with is actually my fav book from the whole series 😉❤️ I hope you will like it and read till the very end of the story ☺️
Hello from a fellow Floridian! I’ve been trying to get back into reading after having my son and would love to be part of your community book club. Love your videos! They’ve been a huge source of inspiration to get back into bullet journaling.
I really love your video! I’m learning how to make my first reading journal and this was such good inspiration on how to start. How do you go about printing all those book cover pictures the same size? I noticed they had a sticker backing too?!
Looking through my good reads. The only book I’ve read (that I have listed there at least) that starts with J is Josh and Hazels Guide to not Dating by Christina lauren. The other J books I thought of that are one my tbr have already been mentioned in the comments. They are Jade City and The Jasmine Throne.
Just finished watching your other 2023 setup and immediately went to see if you had your reading journal up yet. I love your videos and this journal is stunning! 🤩 Also, I would love it if you did a book club! It’s so fun to talk books with other people. With the book club I’m a part of at my university the leaders have pre-planned discussion points/questions and then we go from there. 🥰
Love this! Have loads of ideas for setting up my first reading journal now. Thank you. Would def be interested in a book club if you do decide to start one 😊
Such beautiful spreads as always! I love the idea of using the flower stamps to track/color in when you’ve finished a book - I haven’t set up my reading journal yet, but I might try doing something similar with some stamps I have and never use 😅 also, I would love participating in your book club if you decide do it! I feel like we have similar tastes because with all the books you usually talk about I’ve either read, or are already in my TBR pile so I I’m sure that whatever gets picked on the book club is likely going to be something I enjoy too!
A good girls guide to murder is a really exciting book , a bit slow but really good and full of plot twists so i hope you read it and share your thoughts on it 😊 Im actually just finishing the second part of the series since i just finished the first one.
I had the opposite problem . My reading goal was 150 and I’m currently at 318 books read. Not including audiobooks . I have no social life and I don’t sleep lol. 😅 . I’m hoping next year to read less and branch out with my hobbies.
Yes, please start a book club!
The green scrapbook paper were so beautiful!
Girl, where are you? I can’t plan, dare I say copy, February without you!
You inspired me to start journaling in the beginning of 2023.
🥳 You won't regret it! ❤️
@Semblance
exactly!
Yes to a book club! Watching your channel is always a treat! 😊
Yay! Thank you!

Thank you! 😊
I am so happy I found your channel. I love this reading journal setup. It really motivated me to start a reading journal for 2024. I just started reading books so I am super excited for this.
J-Jane Eyre one of my absolute favorites! The Joyluck Club.
14:23 Heir of Fire was the hardest book to read in Throne of Glass! The Manon chapters were so hard to get through, but they are incredibly important for setting up the rest of the world building and character development! Hopefully you can get through it and love them as much as I do!
I loved Home Before Dark. I hope you are able to give it a go in 2023.
It is definitely top on my list. I'm thinking it will be a great read in the colder months coming up.
Beautiful video as always. xx
Thank you!! 😁
Joy Luck Club has a really good movie too I believe

Thanks! This is good to know. I didn’t think about library time.
Your bullet journal spreads give me so much inspiration! Beautiful spreads. Thanks for sharing ❤
I have just found your channel and I am so in love with your videos already! A book club would be so much fun
Hi Tracy!!! Just to say I really miss your videos. Hope everything is fine with you!
That setup was fun! What's the difference between '23 in 23' and 'Reading challenge' for 40 books? are those 23 books included in 40 list? tfs
So beautiful and inviting! For the reading challenge you could fill in with a different color for paper, audio, and ebook. Thanks for the inspiring setup!
I highly recommend getting the audiobook for Daisy Jones and the Six. It's so good, with a full cast.
You are a wonderful artist - I get so much inspiration from you. I am looking forward to Paper Minty returning in January
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who forgets that they have already read a book. 😂 I do the same thing with movies.
Yes to book club!!! I’m new here, but so excited!
You knock it out of the park with EVERY SINGLE LAYOUT!! Love this one! Can't wait to see your next one!

I would highly recommend the Jester by James Patterson and Andrew Gross

I'm using the same journal, but I got the 8x8! This is really pretty. I would have left the g upside down too. You have to stare at it to notice.
I almost got the 8x8 but I just wasn't sure I could fill it up. I would love to hear your thoughts on it as the year goes on.
