one time i was doing wall touches and it was in between two buildings and to my right it was a hotel with balconies and i had my headphones in so i could not hear and one guy was yelling at me for a while i guess he ended up throwing water on me lol so i had to find a new location lol
One time I was at my neighborhood wall at 6 am and this one guy came out of his house in his pajamas and just started screaming at me for like 5 minutes
i did the training and i did it in 1 hour and 40 minutes it was my first time and i was very tired when I finished. but it gonna help me a lot thanks for the video i'm from Brazil sorry for the english
I've been doing this work out for years! Since i was 10 (im 18 btw) i'd always go in on the street and kicked the ball in diffrent ways and it improved my first touch massively. Now i will try your routine and see if i will improve faster. Great video Matt.
That's awesome. Keep that up. Wall passing is one of the simplest and best things for players to do. I do it at least once a week still! Let me know what you think of the workout.
I absolutely love this training and don't even play soccer that much, but I do this wall ball quite frequently. It's good exercise and fun. I just put on my headphones and get in the zone, it's kind of meditative. I started using a racquet ball a few years ago because that's all I had. It was kind difficult at first, but I just kept trying and put my focus to it and became such a fun challenge. I surprised myself with how much accuracy I could get, with good balance and timing. I have found some good walls that I used for training at the back of business park buildings and the back of grocery stores. Just be prepared to move along if security isn't cool with it or the employees think you're making too much noise, but just use a little common sense and you can easily find a safe place that doesn't care if you use the wall.
You can work on quality time. Use proper striking technique and follow through. Say you are working on inside foot passing and receiving: 1. use proper stance and approach to ball (off your heels when receiving ball) 2. use a clean strike with toes up, knee bent and follow thru 3. Make sure you work on both feet strikes (as in the video). Coach is right about 200 clean strikes each is enough and then work on something else. ussf B
I found a good wall at a school about 2 mins from my house and the like 2 months later they put like a piece of wood on it and now the ball hardly bounces off it☹️
I can relate so much to your vids man. Just came to play in Croatia pro and funny enough, just learned about pomelo for the first time as well like you haha. Im a goalie from Canada that just came out of Uni and i still do some of your drills, just to get out. Keep killing it man, all the best
Good luck dude! Haha ok good, I was wondering if a Pomelo was a European thing or if I was just oblivious to it back in the states. Awesome, I'm glad you like the content, especially since you're so experienced.
such a good video, thanks so much! This is another routine i will try out. I've tried out your workout in a 1x1 yard box and that has helped me so much. Thank You!!
+wade barrington Honestly, you're not going to like this answer, but it's what you need to hear... the best way to improve juggling is to just juggle. Aim for 1000 cumulative juggles a day. If you do that, talk to me in a week and I guarantee you'll be much much better than you are today.
+wade barrington cumulative means like a running total. So let's say you do 10 juggles and drop it and then do 7 more juggles and drop it, now your cumulative total is 17.
Thanks for the workout it's really helpful. I was wondering- are you using a futsal ball (size 4)? The wall juggling is a bit tough with a regular ball's bounce. Also, do you have a recommendation for balls to use on asphalt/concrete that won't wear down easily?
Hey Matt congrats on becoming a pro. I have a important question to ask you. I'm a sophomore in high school right now and the season is coming soon. I turn 16 in the summer. Should I tryout for a club team to have a greater chance of playing in soccer?? And what type(travel, rec, academy, or summer programs/camps) Thanks for replying to my long comment :)
Hey, try to play as much soccer as possible. The more you play the better you become. My recommendation is that you play for the best team that you can make, but can still get decent playing time at. Try out for everything and test out the different levels.
Good video and good channel! But if you want to take the next step, you should focus more on looking over youre shoulder before you take youre touch. Always scanning for space and options. That`s the difference beetwen the best player you see play in the champions league etc compared to the 2 division players. They dont necessary have better tecnhique, but they have a much better football mind.
I have always emphasised on checking my shoulder before receiving each pass to make it a habit, do you not think it is important or is your awareness naturally good?
No, it's definitely very important! I focus on that when doing turns with a partner. With a wall it's hard to pass the ball, look behind your shoulder and the receive the ball in time if you are hitting the ball with pace.
lol I do this every night at my wall sense I live next to the free way my house has a huge wall it's a killer work out ass while u sweat alot I play solo with the wall n challenge my every day training
hey i really need advice i want to become pro but im not sure what i should train everyday i was thinking 3 hours of hitting the ball against the wall and juggiling but then i saw 10,000 touches a day which i feel like its impossible to do so which one?
In 10000 touches there is repeated sets s don't repeat that and do some dribbling at least 30 min some 100 to 200 shooting. and do some drills using wall and 1000 juggling.
my dear friend do this routine 5 days a week 2hours and 10minute a day 15 minutes jogging 30 minutes passing with both of your foots and different parts of your foot 5x50meters sprints 1 hour shooting (volleys, long range, short range, outside, inside) 15 minutes dribbling 5 cones in 5 meters : 3 sets of 5minutes each full speed saturday rest sunday play a match to see how u are advancing i have become twice of the player i was after 6 month u can add 10-15 minutes to each exercises sprints have to be 7or more im sure this will help u
Hardest part is finding a wall where you won't disturb people lol
one time i was doing wall touches and it was in between two buildings and to my right it was a hotel with balconies and i had my headphones in so i could not hear and one guy was yelling at me for a while i guess he ended up throwing water on me lol so i had to find a new location lol
Lol you could use a handball court
alexpateby11 lmao
One time I was at my neighborhood wall at 6 am and this one guy came out of his house in his pajamas and just started screaming at me for like 5 minutes
Paarth Vader Use his corpse as a wall
200 passes first touch both feet
100 passes two touches both feet
5 minutes 1 toucb wall juggling
5 minutes long passing

Find a raquetball court.
@@hazzaalhammadi9951 I got one in my backyard i live in Pakistan so there everywhere
I have one in my backyard, but if you really need one, you could search up how 2 make a mini wall for soccer :)
You should also practice looking back before receiving the ball that way you can see if there's any incoming defenders.
Imagine a soccer pro come in out of nowhere to intercept the ball during the rebound pass.
That would be amazing.
Yeh that's true getting into good habits 👍🏼
