As the track car is being reassembled some little tips & tricks are coming to light i thought may be handy to pass on, Amir is on time off for a week or so.I will see what i can get done while he is away.
@@ClassicCarCave Doesn't matter what the intended use is, it's a case of doing a quality job to the best of your ability and having pride in your work, which is what you do. I'm sure you wouldn't do a shit job just because it's a 'Track car'. Thanks for the tip about fitting door seals early. Would you recommend doing that as soon as it returns from the paint shop ?? Keep up the good work.
Neil, Alternate the rubber between the glass and the shell a few days at a time, You may have to use masking tape on the glass but it will make the rubber fit far easier, Cheers Dave
Your welcome, You gave some good tips & to me that is what youtube should be about info sharing, Unfortunately we are the wrong generation to have a large audience but the upside is we get to reply to them all, We have a drone footage planned in the future. Cheers Dave
Great Update Dave, i love the idea of the solid breather pipe. i have always struggled to keep a rubber hose away from the exhaust manifold. i might have to have a go at making one of those.
Dave that car is just quality, great work as always 👍👍
Tony, Thank you, Very kind of you to say. Cheers Dave
Looking fantastic.
Neil, One comment was Too Nice for a track car i take that as a complement lol, Cheers Dave

@@ClassicCarCave I fear you are right Dave, the wrong generation, it might be even worse than that.....I fear hobbies are on the decline in general😔
Nice update Dave. Arches look great good luck with the polycarbs mate
Alex, Thanks i think they look the nuts, Paul said him and Peter struggled a bit with the rear window on his mini. Cheers Dave

Kevin, Thank you, It‘s very light wall tubing i had in the scrap pile but it will do the job lol, Cheers Dave
The cars coming along. I have put a strip of similar rubber down the edge of the doors to prevent garage rash as I fit bits and pieces in to the car.
Stewart, It is nice to bolt and fix new clean stuff on the car, It works really well and it‘s so light, Cheers Dave
Are you closing up the holes in the rear parcel shelf? You might have trouble at scrut I'm pretty sure cockpit needs to be sealed from engine and boot
Mat, Yes i will make a 1mm Alloy plate to cover the shelf, and seal it from the race tank, Cheers Dave
Seems a shame to use it as a track car, quality looks superb
Karl, I must admit i was thinking the same, But it was built for one purpose in mind so it might as well look good doing it lol, Cheers Dave
Afternoon what did you use for the black edging instead of the metal ones??
