    Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.

    This is my first year growing ranunculus. I just ordered some very inexpensive corns for my first try. I am now getting some blooms. Not many, but the fact that I did it is amazing! For next year I will start them undercover in the fall. I hope they will be bigger and better next year!

    I tried growing ranunculus one year and they didn’t hardly do a thing. A few green sprouts and no flowers. I’m a little intimidated to try again! But I love them so much. I love seeing all of your varieties you grew this year! Those tight ones are just so amazing!

    Absolutely stunning blooms!! I have been SOOOO anxious for this Ranunculus video!! That Elegance Salmon is WOW!!!!! And the Floret varieties are lovely!
    My Ranunc's have just started to bloom.....I ordered all of mine from Easy to Grow Bulbs. They are the Tecolote Variety. At least the ones that are blooming so far have very open centers. Ughhh! The Florist that I sell to was not so thrilled with that either. I did order from Ednie the other day....100 of the Amandine Pastel Mix (also ordered 100 of the Galilee Anemones in Pastel from Ednie, as most of the Anemones that I grew from Easy to Grow were ho-hum shorties) I hope to have more impressive blooms next year. It was my first year though for growing Ranuncs and Anemones, and at least I know I can grow them--that part was successful!!!
    Thanks so much for the beautiful tour!! It was SOOOOOOO wonderful to see what you have!

    • @TONYAwiththeflowers
      @TONYAwiththeflowers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of the floret corms are from the amadine series. From what I've seen, the flowers are gorgeous. I've never ordered from ednie directly, any clue if there's a way for regular folks to do so? I would loovvveeee to try new varieties.

    • @Stauffer-fs8kz
      @Stauffer-fs8kz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TONYAwiththeflowers As far as Ednie, from what I understand you need an EIN (business#), which we already had. The other thing is that you can't order Ranunc's or Anemones in less than 100 count PER COLOR or premixed colors (Such as Pastel mix). This is why I did my trial run with Easy to Grow corms, though it was NOT cheaper to go that route!! Do you have a flower farmer friend that gets from Ednie? Maybe you could divide colors with a friend!

      @TONYAwiththeflowers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm going to start asking around. I wish it was easier to get them in small quantities. 🌱🌱🌱🌱

    My Ranunculuses from long field garden were very small too I thought it was something I did,since it was my first time growing them but maybe since your was small too it was just their crop of corms ? 🤔🤔🤔 thanks so much for sharing! Interesting. I was wondering if maybe it was a bad spot in the garden that may have caused it. The pink picotee were much smaller than any other flower in the entire patch.
