Happy New Year! Jen, your sweater is very pretty and flattering. My goals for 2024 are to knit socks in tandem using 2 separate cords (not on one long cord) and to learn to crochet. Your prize will be perfect for me!!
Happy New Year! Great episode as usual. I want to finally learn Brioche in 2024. Would also like to learn how to embroider on my hand knits. And, fingers crossed that I will finally take one of Jen’s sweater classes during which I will learn a lot!!!
Lovely to see you again! Vlogmas is not my jam, mainly because I prefer longer videos to knit to, so a full episode was wonderful!! 2024 will be the year i learn stranded color work! Cozy Up (I think) has a really simple hat pattern, but then I have my eye on a sweater with a simple yoke. Fingers crossed!! Happy New Year ladies!! 🥂
Another fun episode can’t wait to try Smitten Kitchen. As for what I want to learn/improve this year it is English Paper Piecing. It looks so fun and versatile. Thanks ladies and Happy New Year🎉
I am super excited about the upcoming crafting year. I have 7 wips i am really excited about, half of which are in my handspun, and 2 of them are my own designs i am test knitting. I bought myself some beautiful fiber and yarn for Christmas, including some new fibers i have not tried before. OMG - i could easily do another few weeks off :) thank you all for another year of great inspiring content. I look for your podcast every Saturday and honestly think you have one of the best knitting podcasts on TH-cam - the content is really diverse and interesting, the chatter is fun and conversational, and you all just seem like lovely people to hang out with every weekend. I look forward to making the treak over one day to visit the shop. Maybe the year i retire and go to Rhinebeck..
I would like to learn to spin. I understand the mechanics of it but the application is where I falter. I would also love to crochet a blanket like the Ardith. That is so amazing! I hope Catherine has a boring birth and a smart and beautiful and creative baby.
Every year I say I’m going to learn how to knit an adult sweater but I always chicken out. So maybe 2024 will be the year of the sweater. Thanks for all your wonderful episodes. Happy New Year!
The Woobles taught me how to crochet in January 2023 and I've been absolutely non-stop since then, HIGHLY recommend....My goals for 2024 are to learn to navigate Ravelry, and join a Knit Night/take a class to build my confidence and meet people that love what I have grown to love! I'll be on the lookout for those crochet classes :)
We have a weekly Zoom Knit Night that you're welcome to join - every Wednesday from 7-9 Eastern time, if that works for you! You can get the link via our Classes & Events page.
New this year...I've been knitting for others forever and never made anything for myself. I am making the Glittering Snowscape Shawl for myself. My first Stephen West pattern.
Did we #opinion talk about how many WIPS are too many WIPS? LOL. I hope you all have a great NYE! Sending healthy and wonderful vibes to the new mommy and baby. Blessings! Kimberly
I love this weeks question, I've really been thinking hard about it!! I'd like to give spinning a try, and tunisian crochet has been on my list of things to learn for 2 years now!! I need to stop procastinating and just dive in... been listening to Toni Lispey, her tunisian patterns are BEAUTIFUL!! Amanda - congrats on the grandbaby :) Thank you all for always podcasting and providing so much insight every other week!
I plan to learn embroidery in the new year, as well as dyeing yarn and maybe how to spin yarn as well. I love the Selena Slipover and I can’t wait to make mine.
Happy New Year ladies!🎉🍾 At the beginning of 2023, I learned how to knit a raglan sweater. In 2024, I would like to learn how to knit a cardigan and maybe even in a fade which I've never done.
I’m working on my first sweater (a ranunculus) and want to make more sweaters next year and learn all about the different constructions and how to make a sweater that will fit my body. Happy New Year!🎉
My 2024 goal is to design and knit my own gansey. I’ve finally got enough confidence in my knitting that I think I can pull this off! I have books to help……. Great podcast and Amanda, that blanket is stunning!
Happy New Year everyone! Love to see what you’re working on. My goals are to accomplish stranded color work which I cast on for New Year’s Eve. Yea me. Another goal is to learn brioche. It seems so intimidating.
Beautiful projects! I plan to knit a sweater for the first time. I've been hung up on socks, which was my project last year. Love making socks. Thank you for all the fun!
Happy New Year! So, my 2024 goal of a new to me technique is.. intarsia. I have a couple intarsia projects I love the look off and I need to go and finally learn how to do it so I can actually make those.

So for the new year I’m going to expand my sock knitting. I’m also going to vogue and taking a toe up sock class I also want to try new heels I haven’t done before
Happy New Year to all of you, Vloggmas was tons of fun. In the new year I want to focus on infant and baby knits. I'm working on fingerless mits right now, an overdue xmas present for hubby, oh well, slow and steady....gets the job done. Happy 2024 to all of you.
I want to learn needle felting small items and embroidery on knits, duplicate stitch on stockinette. What are the best tools for those, best fibers, tips, tricks, learning resources, books, podcasts, all the goodness!
My goal this year is to start knitting. I have been crocheting since I was 8 years old and at 10 had someone start to teach me how to knit but when I didn't "throw" my yarn over the needles but "picked" the yarn she yelled at me and told me my knotting would look terrible so I put down the knitting needles and stuck with crochet.
I want to actually learn brioche. I understand the concept and I'm not intimidated - I have a beginner pattern and yarn all picked out but I keep getting distracted by other projects. :D
I am looking forward to crafting in 2024. I would like to do more Tunisian crochet - I’ve done a cozy and an ear warmer but would like to dig deeper into that craft. I am also looking forward to knitting a sweater completely out of my handspun yarn. For the #opinion question, I’m wondering which feature of Ravelry you find most useful.
Happy New Year! I want to learn how to customize my sweaters for my own body. I also want to learn how to put a zipper into a steeked sweater
Happy New Year! Jen, your sweater is very pretty and flattering. My goals for 2024 are to knit socks in tandem using 2 separate cords (not on one long cord) and to learn to crochet. Your prize will be perfect for me!!

Glad you're going to make the leap back into knitting! Sorry the person teaching you didn't know there are many "right" ways to knit!
