This has happened so many times with Gleyber yet the media, for years, never mentioned or questioned Boone about it. When was the last time we've read an article from NY media talking about a Yankee player not hustling or asking Boone about acountability? Never!! All of a sudden they have the gull to say to Boone that it's happened before. What!? Here's my take on this, if you dog it or don't hustle and you do it in PUBLIC, in front of paying fans, you should be man enough to get called out for it in public. Be a man Gleyber....Boone did the right thing.

This whole coaching staff has been MIA all year...why didn't Blake go out in the first inning and try and settle down Stroman just like the Toronto pitching coach did in the second inning...also, how do players go into a 4-6 week batting slump without making adjustments to try and get out of it...where is the hitting coach??? As for Boone as a manager, he has no concept of game strategy...no bunting, no stealing, no hit and runs...he just stands on the top step blowing bubbles and spitting nuts...if this team wins a world series it won't have anything to do with Boone!!

Bullshit Aaron. Gleyber doesn’t play his ass off. And no player under you has ever been held accountable

Ok Boone did the right thing, but this is a snapshot of his tenure, players not being focused and occasionally celebrating early. They think he’s another player, while I understand it’s a different era, you have to meet in the middle. He has no backbone, he even said I’ve given a ton of “grace” come on man your the manager of the Yankees

Its about time Boone. Now stop dancing around it in the media and call it like it is. Torres is a grown man making millions. Its OK to hold him accountable even if it hurts his feelings.

What kind of question to ask Boone...."Why did you take Torres out of the game...?" But then again, i understand...the question was asked by a woman.....

See this is the problem with Boone ! He must have spoken to Torres and others dozens of times about this and still he can’t say he wasn’t hustling and I took him out. Same old crap from this manager never being upfront and honest with us the customer. This also reflects the mood of the team in the playoffs as we all know has a bust !

The Gleyber incident is a result of Boone's lax management style and his comical defense of bad plays and poor players after losses. Being liked is not the same as being respected. He's given cover to lazy and lousy players alike. BTW, WTF is the learning experience here? That you should have be tougher with players years ago?
