    My name is Brian but everyone calls me Greeny. I retired in January of 2020 after working 30 years in my field. I didn’t want to work so long that I would be too old to enjoy my retirement. After living in Michigan my whole life I decided I wanted to retire somewhere warm, somewhere exotic. I sampled a ton of places in the Caribbean, Panama, Colombia, Turkey but set my sights on Thailand. I spent most of the winter of 2020 exploring Thailand then ......you know what happened. IT!!!
    So I had to catch one of the last flights and come home. Now I’m back.
    Why am I making videos? I need a hobby. I feel if I don’t do anything creative my mind may melt. I can also easily go back and reminisce by watching the videos. If anyone else enjoys them then that is a plus.
    I take a ton of Travel photos. Check out my Instagram, I usually post a pic everyday.

    You can negotiate them down 30%. Never pay what they tell you. It’s a renters market.

    Yeah all very nice, but surely decide where you wanna live, maybe stay one month in each place first and see where your happiest. Also the older the condo the more value for money and size you get, seems the agents always show the newer condos. I’ve been living in View Talay 2 in Jomtien for 6 months and you can just walk in and there are shops on the ground floor that have agents who can show you some apartments, good luck!

    Was going to say that even further out from city the developments still look excellent. Personally would love to live area asok nana but as you know be paying higher rent for the privilege even condo block where you stayed holiday inn hotel area would be good.

    Hi Greeny, hope all is well! I like this video! You're saving me some research time! Question...when you submitted your paperwork to the Thai consulate they ask for a prohibited diseases document...did you notarize yours? Thanks and keep up the great work!

    This was a helpful video for me. I'll be there on my O-A in July. I have four condos lined up that I want to check out in On Nut. I really like this condo, so much so that I may check it out. I was wondering what made you decide to look in the Punnawithi area? Also, in your opinion are the rents negotiable to any extent? I liked the storage that some of those units had. I'm gonna have two big suitcases, and with the apartments being shoe boxes I don't know where I would put them.

    • @GreenyTravels
      @GreenyTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think many will negotiate. The next two I will show are ekkemi. I liked that area more. My agent just picked the condos I looked at. Gave me a good idea of what I could get

    • @nikyyo5
      @nikyyo5 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GreenyTravels OK, got it. I think Punnawithi is fine, and like i said, I liked the condo. You're looking at desirable areas. Ekkamai is great. I strongly recommend, when you have some free time, to just get on the BTS and get off at On Nut. Just walk around. You have a Big C, Tesco/Lotus, and mall/Movie theater all next to each other. Take a walk down soi 77 (great street food). There's a bunch of condos right near the BTS. You might like what you see. Good luck.

    I'm all for free speech, but i do find it a little troubling reading some comments that say the virus epidemic is just one big con on the public, and that we should not be stupid enough to believe what the media say. The consequences of this denial may be life-changing on some easily- swayed people. Perhaps you could have a moderator , like the Guardian newspaper, to edit out the more nutty comments in these special times.
