Absolutely love you guys. Between Tarantula Cribs, Tarantula Collective and Tarantula Kat I get such a sense of community where I didn’t feel it as much before. Blessings fam I am a few weeks into the hobby, Beginner, First T Purchased 10-18-20224. I can agree with most of your comment. Like you mentioned.......them folks are doing an amazing job, I have order 5 Tarantula Cribs already and keep forgetting to put the TCollective discount code,. I will remember when I order my next Coffin Crib. Fa, ask me before I watched there videos would I have 6 Tarantula's in such a short period pf time. PHUCK N
This has to be the best commercial/ad in the reptile/invert screen i have personally seen, especialy an ad I learned something from. Bravo! When I'm ready to upgrade my juvenile GBB enclosure I'm going to get a Tarantula Crib enclosure and see how they are in hand. If they're half as good as this video they must be amazing.
I love the collaborative relationship you have with The Tarantula Collective ! Fantastic products and fantastic content! I hope to keep this species someday. I can see why my Dolicothele diamantinensis is sometimes known as a dwarf GBB, but I also appreciate that there are significant differences between the two.
Loved this one. I got my first T back in '87 as a teenager. It was likely a male G. Rosea that only lived about 5 years. There wasn't a big selection back then, just what my local reptile shop had. I kept herps too. Now it's 37 years later, I'm in my 50s, and waiting on a 1" GBB and G. Pulchre yearling this week. These will be my first Ts since 1987. I breed/keep New Cal geckos nowadays and absolutely love the sense of community here for tarantulas. So many wonderful, informative channels...so many cool, innovative companies catering specifically to this community. Thx for this GBB video - it has me super pumped to get mine. Appreciate you all! -Greg
I bought the xl switch for my GBB recently and I love it! (this is my first tarantula!) Thank you for this video, after watching I may need to add a bit more substrate, but am otherwise pretty confident in the set up I put together. This was super helpful to see!
I can see my own GBB, Rider, chilling in his enclosure as I watch this. I've had him for almost 8 months, and he's molted for me twice in that time. He's absolutely a little menace to society- he's shy and bolty, and while he no longer kicks hairs at me every time I breathe around his enclosure, he has thrown a threat pose at me for the crime of existing too close to his nest. He eats like an absolute champion, and I really do love his feisty attitude. He takes down dubias like nobody's business, and I'm currently trying to fatten him back up after his most recent molt. He's still pretty skinny and very enthusiastic about his food. He's been in an 8 inch T Crib since I got him and he seems really happy- he has quite an impressive little mansion going in there. So much webbing.
i lost my mature female gbb this spring but went to an expo about a month ago and was chatting with the couple who run “the T pot” and learned that he had lost his mature female gbb around the same time. we both commiserated about how wonderful they were and how sad it was to lose such a wonderful spider. best part was after some chatting, they gave me two gbb slings
I just recently got the Switch 12 inch cube for my GBB, I figured she has one molt left in the medium switch crib. She had lots of web points so even if she crawled on the ceiling and fell, it would only be like 2 inches. She's been calm because I don't mess with her webbing. It's funny this video recommends the same one I bought specifically for my GBB. She just molted and I'm waiting to see if she's big enough to move to the 12 inch switch cube. It's going to look so cool when it's all done up and webbed up!
My fav tarantula. My first T and my first female is named Savannah (after my alma mater Savannah State). Got another, I think is a male two weeks ago. Named it COBA; after the field I studied under; college of business administration.
I love my GBB! His name is Gawain, and he is the light of my life. I need to upgrade his home for the final time. He's in a 12" crib, and I think he may need a 10gal aquarium. He is a gifted webber, not super social, but he is perfect the way he is.
10 gallon would be plenty room! We make an 10 gallon acrylic equivalent if you want to go with acrylic! The glass works too! Just have to figure out the cross vent and the lid! But a lot of it comes down to personal preference!
I remember one day that in my school y saw by some reason a juvenile or semi adult tarantula walking everywhere, i wanted to grab it and transport him to my house and make a terrarium for the tarantula, i picked a vase and i make holes for the tarantula to breath but my teacher say me to do not do it so then i didn't take it but a freaken peroson came and kill it, ¡ i was horrified and sad, was so angry so then y report it to the director and the director semed to be angry to.

Hey your enclosures look so good! But sadly shipping to Spain is not available by now. Do you have any plans on shipping to Spain soon?
