    Thank you so much for this, Frank. Probably the only video on TH-cam that explains how everything functions and connects together. I'm from EU and new to Crestron's terminlogy was an enigma to me until I saw this.
    In a "modern" teams room solution, would you say the Airmedia AM-3100 together with UC-B30-T-WM would suffice for teams meeting and presentation in medium room? I don't think we will use BYOD and we want to avoid HDMI cables for screen presentation.

    • @FrankGuest
      @FrankGuest  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We put BYOD in every room now. Your client may have adopted the teams platform, but they may be invited to a meeting from one of their clients and that may be WebEx or similar. The only way to join from your FLEX room and use the peripherals, would be with the usb and BYOD feature. As far as HDMI connectivity. Im with you, there is no need to have that cable on the table. But people love HDMI. They are so used to it. It’s hard to get people to understand that the room has its own Teams Service account. That basically means the room screens are the far end. As far as your AM and UC-B30 question. I’m not a fan of the sound bars unless your in a very small room. If anyone is sitting more than 10-12 feet from the screen, I would us a UC- MX-50T system. I have a video of that system on my channel as well. I have a bunch is AM-3100’s on order. I have not put my hands on one yet.

    Hey Frank, I inherited a crestron setup that came with two crestron tablets. I had to factory reset both of them. One controls the Ms teams meetings as you showed here and the other tablet was used to control the ptz camera. When I reset the second crestron camera the camera controls were gone. I know I need to point the camera somewhere by ip table I believe not sure to the ip address the the UC engine. Can you give me tips ? I appreciate it !!

    • @FrankGuest
      @FrankGuest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What kit did you get? Is your touch a 1060 or a 1070? Do you have a sound bar, a mercury device or is it a CX100 installer kit? Also, you should not need the second tablet. (Depending on the set up) you can upload what Crestron Calls a Smart Graphics file which your programmer will have to create. Are you just using the Flex kit or do you have a controller in the rack? Also, if your not using the camera that came with the kit, make sure it’s Microsoft Certified.

    These are great, until they go wrong - frequently. I've had to re-image many of these now and Crestron True Blue support are great they simply will not RMA anything, the stock answer is upgrade firmware, re-image. It takes about 5 hours to re-image and that's if they let you have it - which they won't. Out of a team of five engineers if we have to be onsite for a break/fix they all live in fear should it need a repair. The TSW will drop off the network and refuse to connect to the UC Engine... Have fun!

    • @FrankGuest
      @FrankGuest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have run into all these issues. We have had to re-image countless UCs. If they do take one back for an RMA, sometimes they still come back with issues. Re-image is pretty much our go to repair. But your right, it keeps a tech busy all day doing just that. We have several different UC’s types in the field. We have a re image USB for each type on hand for when that time comes.

      @FrankGuest  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      bobmccormack1 yes sir it can. You can order the Uc-C 160 system. My conference rooms are split between what you see in this video, we call “presentation Lite” rooms and rooms without the sound-bar. We have speakers in the ceiling and Shure MXA910’s in the ceiling of those rooms, we call “Full Presentation” rooms. We also have two Routable DM’s and a cable box in those rooms. You have to upload a smart graphics file to the UC, that page will show up on the TSW 1060 as the advanced routing page. Pretty sweet! Let me know if you have any other questions.
